   We attended the Sunday Gospel Brunch event—which combined live entertainment with our meal. Love the space and the vibe. Wait staff are personable and make great recommendations from the menu. The cornbread and gravy with fried egg (sorry, brunch special only!) will change your life. Definitely worth making the trip to Harlem for this meal. We enjoyed the performance as well—would have preferred they kept more to the actual gospel selections than the R&B, but it was quality food and a show! And…the Bloody Mary was a veritable salad unto itself! Nice touch pairing all the garnish with a side of green goddess dressing.

   We celebrated our 10-year Anniversary at Red Rooster and listened to the amazing Gospel choir during brunch. Our waiter was extremely helpful and recommended some amazing dishes which we really enjoyed. He was also very kind and attentive and made our special day even more special by acknowledging us with a candle and complimentary dessert. We have every intention of returning to this wonderful, fun place.

    I had the shrimp and grits, and it was nothing short of fantastic. The grits were nice and creamy, and the shrimp gumbo complimented it nicely. I also ordered the Harlem Stoner cocktail, which was an unusual blend of different spirits and liqueurs that worked together wonderfully. Our server was very warm and inviting, and organized a wonderful surprise for my wife's birthday, and even asked the DJ/violinist to play Happy Birthday. A truly magical night.

    Great fun atmosphere. Food was honestly fine but not that remarkable. Honestly the Uptown Guac with pineapple was one of the more unique things. Catfish, salmon bowl and hamburger were kind of average. BUT, restaurant had an awesome vibe and clientele and great atmosphere. I would definitely go again but would try one of the other dishes.

    Really good experience. The food was good, restaurant was a little loud but was more because of the positive vibe than a bad environment. We especially recommend the Mac and Greens and the crab cake.

    Wonderful experience. It has been a while since I’d be there. My guest and I live in NYC. It was a relaxing night out. Wait staff were friendly. The lead guy was a joy. Very professional. Great experience all around.

    We had a great time! Live music made it perfect. The god was perfect as were both the bar and table service. This was my sixth time enjoying it all. Great staff👍🙂

    I’m a Chicagoan who loves to visit Red Rooster whenever I fly in!! Love the vibes!! A great band was playing the night we went to dinner. Food is delicious. My only complaint is that the martini glasses are too small for the price. But the drinks were tasty!! LOOOOVE THIS PLACE!!

    It was so noisy we could hardly hear the singers. Too croweded. We had a reservation and we were crammed at a table for 4 but we were 5. Food was great as usual but not planning to return . Sorry overall experience was fair.

    This restaurant is one of the BEST experiences that I have had in a LLOOOONNNGG while!! The food was EXCELLENT, the ambience was cultural and inviting and the service was IMPECCABLE!! I STRONGLY suggest the Chicken and Waffles AND the lobster roll (seriously…you will not be sorry)!! Also, for appetizers I suggest the deviled eggs (it’s not what you think) and the cornbread. For sides you MUST get the macaroni and greens…you won’t be sorry!! I cannot say enough great things about this restaurant. Sylvia’s may be historical..but Red Rooster is a MUST in Harlem!!!

    After the initial reservation I made with one of the restaurant across the street. I was pleasently surprise to make a reservation within the hour with the Red Rooster. The food was fabulous! The music was little loud but pleasant. The waiter was amiable. We only ordered some appetizers. The protions of food were perfect.

    Celebrated my birthday with my daughter and friend. The service was excellent. Our server was very knowledgeable and attentive, but still inconspicuous. The food and drinks were excellent. This was my first visit and the restaurant was smaller than I thought. We went in the evening and the lighting was a tad too dim. There was no live music on a Friday night
