    Sadly we didn’t actually eat. It appears unlike other restaurants who updated their Thanksgiving Day hours on Open Table, Red Roost Tavern did not. We had a confirmed reservation for brunch, and headed downtown. A Hyatt staff member was very rude and unsympathetic to us finding out the restaurant was closed until 4, and could not honor the reservation. I We won’t be trying this one again.

    Stopped for dinner before game, food was great. Only drawback, they do not have tartar sauce on hand for fish and chips (fries) dinner. Now, they do have a sauce to go with it, but not everyone’s flavor on fish. Kitchen might want to think about having ingredients on hand, to whip some up until request. (It is pretty easy to make) Some consumers simply prefer the traditional sauce. Please don’t understand my comment as a negative critique towards the kitchen, it was meant only as a suggestion. The food selection and marriage of ingredients are pleasing to the palate. The combination of flavors in the salads are scrumptious. Kudos to the chef. I had enjoyed chicken sandwich and fries, the chicken was cooked and seasoned to perfection. As I am picky about French Fries, this chef has mad skills. Thank you for the outstanding service and delicious meals before a fun night of football.

    There wasn’t a brunch menu posted on Open Table. We’re not too fond of buffets, but we did like the pancakes and omelets to order. The food and service were very good.

    Restaurant was very quiet early on a Saturday night for dinner. The steak was nicely prepared, tender and flavorful, the sauces good, and my salad nicely presented and tasty.

    First off, this is just a hotel bar with so-so food. The cole slaw was room temperature, the French fries weren’t crisp at all(although I think they weren’t frozen fries) and the chef had not tartar sauce for the fish and claimed not to have the ingredients. The fried fish was fine and served with remoulade instead. The wait staff was skimpy. It was ok if you couldn’t go anywhere else.

    They put my wife and me next to the bar, and many drunk women were making noise at the bar. The waitress was the best part for me personally. She kept on top of our drinks and provided great customer service. My wife enjoyed her hamburger, but the salad was not good. I enjoyed my fries, but the chicken sandwich wasn't very good. I can get a better chicken sandwich at Chik-Fil-A or Cane's for much less money.

    The steak was out of this world! And the server,waitstaff was the best! She heard it was my bir,and brought me out a brownie ice. Ream dessert. So sweet. Will defiantly be back

    No one was at the hostess stand, had to walk into the restaurant looking for someone. Restaurant was insanely loud from the noisy bar, could not hear to have a conversation. Food was marginal at best and horribly overpriced. Will not go back.

    The waitress who catered to me was very kind and accommodating for a table of 1. I wish I remembered her name. Also, the bartender that worked that night until closing was outstanding! Great customer service all around! And your Brussels Sprouts and Ahi tacos were chef’s kiss perfect and delicious! I had them 2 nights in a row! Thank you!!

    It took about 30 minutes to get a drink, another 15 to place an order for food, and about 45 minutes to get my food (3 chicken fingers and fries). The waiter kept forgetting about me as he was distracted often by conversations with patrons at the bar. Reservation at 8pm, paid the check and left at 9:58pm, party of one.

    The food was amazing and our waitress was friendly and attentive. However, we waited quite a while (5-10 mins) at the hostess stand before being addressed and when they finally acknowledged us, we discovered that they had no record of our reservation on Open Table and that the kitchen would be closed for the next 20 minutes. It was not a very inviting way to start my partner's birthday dinner.

    Food was not good. Wings were not cooked crispy and the bbq sauce tasted like it came out of a bottle and the beer cheese was runny and my husbands pork on the tater tots was cold!!

    Always loved coming here pre covid. Decided to try during covid and the food and service was just as great as before. Menu was limited but the chicken club was always my go to and it was still on the menu. There was only one server/bar tender but he was able to manage the amount of guest. The manager was helping too. Glad to see that it was still open and service/food was still great!!

    We went last night and had probably the worst experience I’ve ever had in dining. It was not crowded at all, and we waited 40 minutes for drinks and an hour and 20 for our food. The waitress forgot one of the salads so that was another 10-15 for that. Of course when it came time to pay, all of our checks were messed up even though we had asked for separate checks from the beginning. We had to ask for refills on water the entire meal, went up and got our own drinks from the service bar as we saw them sitting there for several minutes with our waitress nowhere in sight. The manager Sumit came to help a few times but there was never even an apology for what a terrible terrible experience it was. I was surprised at how empty the restaurant was because it was right across from the Duke Energy Center and there was a big event going on that night, but now I know why. It’s too bad- because the food was delicious- but I know not one person in our party of 13 will ever go back or recommend this place. I understand everyone has their bad nights, but like I said, there was no accountability, apology or anything for the mistakes and terrible experience and literally every single person in our party had something wrong with the service or overall meal.

    Our group of 13 had reservations through open table at 5pm plenty of time for our 6:30 event! We were seated promptly and greeted by waitress for drinks. Half our group got their drinks while the other half didn’t for 20 minutes, they were sitting on the bar. My nephew approached the bar to pick them up and quickly got pushed away by the staff. We had to ask for water multiple times our waitress seemed to disappear so other crew assisted in getting us what we need. After 1 hour and 20 minutes our food arrived. Half our group got their appetizers right before the meal while the other half got them before their drinks! None of us ordered any difficult, salad, sandwiches, tacos and soup! My salad even though I was one of the first to order was delayed 10 minutes after everyone’s food was delivered because they “were waiting on the chicken”. I had about 5 minutes to eat. Then of course all the bills were a nightmare even though we took our time when ordering to ensure accuracy. The manager comped my salad after I complained but there was no apology for such poor service on what appeared to be a very slow night in the restaurant. The group of 8 people sitting next to us were seated after us, ate and paid before we even got our food. Very disappointing service when downtown is trying to get more people to visit!

    Went to the Red Roost Tavern for Sunday breakfast. Our party ordered the breakfast bar. It was less than desirable. My daughter ordered off the menu: French toast and bacon and was very pleased. Our waitress was amazing and very friendly.

    Excellent food, hospitality was amazing. They knew it was my husbands birthday and had our table specially reserved for us. We just could not understand our server and she couldn’t understand us no big deal. We will be back to try more on the menu!

    Three of us ate here Christmas day. The service was good. The staff was incredibly friendly. The food was very good. The fries were seasoned well. My husband had the lobster bisque which he loved. The restaurant was clean with lovely decor. We will definitely be coming back the The Red Roost Tavern again.

    We went to the Sunday Brunch prior to the Bengals game. There was the usual brunch choices and they were prepared well. There was nothing there that was elevated however the flavors and presentation was good. Servers seemed overly busy for a relatively small crowd. Bloody Mary was very ordinary. Very few breakfast sweets. If you are looking for a good brunch, a reasonable price, and convenient to the stadiums, I would not be bashful about recommending RRT.

    nothing to really recommend here. A hotel restaurant half way into the lobby. The food was passing, nothing more. The loud overly familiar waitress did her best up-sell attempt but I did not want to spend anymore money there than necessary. But exactly at my expectation for a non- name hotel restaurant.

    We decided to come to Red Roost Tavern before going to Blink Cincinnati 2019. They took a reservation at the time we wanted and there menu had a variety of items. From the time we arrived we were pleasantly greeted 4 times and seated at a high top, which was fine with us. I got a Prosecco and the fish tacos. My son got a burger with the waffle fries. The Prosecco was good. I was surprised they didn’t have a half split, but we were the bar in the Hyatt so everything was priced a little higher. The fish tacos were outstanding. The sauce on them was great. My son scarfed down his burger - he said it was perfect. He got it without all of the additions on it (sauce etc). He ate about half of the waffle fries - they were a little greasy, but good. Great service - she could not have been any nicer!!

    We ate at the Red Roost on Wednesday night. It wasn’t particularly crowded but our server was seldom around. After bringing drinks and taking our order he disappeared, never checking back until the food came 20 minutes later. We had to go to the bar to get our own drinks refilled. The menu is somewhat limited. I ordered the Niçoise salad. The potatoes and green beans were undercooked and the dressing was unremarkable. Rather than the traditional tuna, it came with 3 shrimp and a small fillet of mahi-mahi which were fine. My companion’s club sandwich was fine; he particularly liked the bread. The chicken breast was generous and not dry. Overall the food was acceptable but the service was unenthusiastic.
