Food is our passion. We make sure that only the finest and freshest local ingredients are used in preparing our dishes. We use only the best grades of meats and the freshest fish and seafood available. We bake our own bread , homemade pasta and our dessert are handmade by our kitchen staff everyday. We even make our own mozzarella. We do this because we take pride in serving great food.

Everything we ordered was delicious! Loved the calamari with jarred peppers. The acidity from the vinegar paired beautifully with the calamari's fried crust. Our octopus appetizer was just as delicious. Their foccacia and home made pasta and sauces also delicious. We will be back! Thank you for a great dining experience down the shore!
Nice little place, friendly staff and great food. They said they made their own homemade pasta and everything did taste homemade. I had the egg plant Parm and my husband had the chicken Parm, and we were tempted by a small group of pizza. Everything was delicious and portions were enough for a second take home meal. There are a lot of options to eat in this area, including the casinos, but this is a place that is definitely worth a second look.

My first visit, it will not be my last. My only complaint is the cappuccino I had at the end of my meal was lukewarm and not satisfying.

We ordered seafood dishes. Food is absolutely delicious! Very nice staff.
Overall, we enjoyed our dinner and will come back again. My only criticism would be that the service was slow and we had to ask for things a couple of times before we received them...butter, refills, extra plate. There was also no dessert available, which we were looking forward to.

We sat outside, but heat lamps kept us plenty warm. Servers, bus boy, food runner and hostess were all friendly. Food came out hot and good. For appetizers, the Italian salad was like my mom used to make, Suppli was awesome in blush sauce and we got a side of gnocchi in Gorgonzola sauce, which was my favorite part of the meal. Portions were bigger than we expected. Gravy/sauce, whichever you call it, was authentic, balanced and savory. Gravy on top of homemade rigatoni is nirvana for this well fed Italian mama’s boy. Could only eat a third of the entree, but it was all good, even the next day. Great night out for us!
The bus boy was not wearing his mask properly and brought our bread with no butter or oil. He never came back with the oil or butter and we asked him for an extra wine glass which he never brought us. My chicken Frandsche‘s was dry and overcooked and was not served over a better pasta. It was served with potatoes which is unacceptable. Then when we finished dinner they never cleared our plates.My husband had to clear the plates and put them on the table next to us which was still there when we left they did bring us for cappuccinos which were enjoyable. The heat was unacceptable with one heater under the tent that didn’t nearly reach the whole tent and the direction the wind was blowing they didn’t put that side down so it blew right on us. Overall not ever going back
Apps, calamari, eggplant stack were very average, meatball app was good.
Main- pork chop was awesome! Veal chop parm was average. Shrimp/crab pasta in blush was decent. Shrimp scampi w/ angel hair was like ramen noodles w/ shrimp, horrible! Triple chocolate cake was freezer burned.
Server forgot about us regularly, hard to get wine opened!
First visit, never will go back!

Although it is difficult to book a table sometimes, Red Room Cafe has always been excellent. We keep gravitating to 2 of the meals: Eggplant parmesan (best i have ever had and eggplant sliced very thin and no breadcrumb coating) and a combination Seafood Pescatore with a Rosa sauce on homemade linguini. Other meals looked good going by as well!

What a disappointment. We had a table for 6 I asked if there were heaters and was assured that there were. I should have asked if they were using the heaters as they were all stored behind the restaurant and none were used.
Two of us ordered a special, halibut over Zappa de Pesce, 1 person got mussels in red sauce, a gnocchi dish ,crab cakes , and a pork chop were also ordered. It took over an hour and fifteen minutes to get our dinner and when we asked the waiter what was taking so long he was very snarky and just said I don’t make the food and walked away. When the food finally arrived they came out separately and people had to start eating otherwise the dinners would have been cold.
The two specials, were horrible, the sauce was literally light red water, tasteless, and the halibut was flavorless and dry. The mussels in red sauce also were served “in water” with a lot of garlic pieces. The “sauce” was tasteless and extremely disappointing.
We looked for the waiter, who never came back to the table to ask how everything was. When I finally got his attention I told him about the two specials being bad , he rolled his eyes took the food away and NEVER apologized or offered us something else.
He eventually came back and finally said can I get you anything else, I said no because now the other 4 people were finished with dinner. The waiter then came back and handed us the check. I did go ballistic and said I thought you were asking if we wanted a different dinner and not dessert or coffee.
He rolled his eyes again and walked away. The waiter was actually worse then the food. They did remove the two dinners and we tip leave a 20 percent gratuity since they pool tips.
We will never go back definitely 1 and done.I’m assuming the owners were not there because the restaurant was so poorly run this past Friday night

My husband ordered the lamb chops but asked for pasta instead of the potatoes and asparagus. He was not informed that there would be a $10 charge. We were eating outside and it was difficult to get the attention of the waiter. We understood the difficulty but there were only 3 other occupied tables.
The food took more than a half hour to arrive after ordering. My veal chop was not medium rare as I ordered, but more cooked. That said, it was still quite good. The waiter’s attentiveness was excellent.
These times with Covid restrictions are tough. Eating outside was very nice, except for the smokers who walked by, which the restaurant has no control over. I did notice as soon as we sat down that the water glasses and some of the silverware had water spots on them. Not really a big deal, just doesn't look good. We were given bread by a gentleman who cut it without wearing gloves and adjusted his mask multiple times walking to tables, didn't like that. We had to ask for butter and oil, we were just given plain bread. We were the first seating and I did notice that the gentleman did adjust his mask and stopped fidgeting with it and also I saw people being offered olive oil with their bread. So both issues seemed fixed. Our salads and entrees were very good! I had a crab with linguine in a scampi style sauce, another had gnocchi in blush sauce and added shrimp and a third had filet of bronzino. The linguine and gnocchi are both house made and that was the highlight of the dishes! I love true homemade pasta, nothing compares! The crab in my dish was also great, colossal size lumps of sweet crab! I did steal a gnocchi as well and it was delicious! Unfortunately dessert was nothing to speak about. Very limited options and the cheesecake we did have had an freezer taste to it.
Service was good, friendly, everything came out correct. I do have a pet peeve about empty dishes being cleared from the table before new dishes are brought out and I was very happy that they did do this! I worked in restaurants for years and have just come to really appreciate not having to make room on a table for new dishes to come out.
Overall, the place is really good and worth going to for the fresh pasta!
As always the food is very good. Everyone was working very hard because it is outdoor dining
NEVER disappointed. This is truly one of our go to places. We have turned many friends on to the red room. A friend told me about it years ago. Word of mouth is always the best. Thank you Maria & Jack
Food was excellent, service not so good. Waited 45 minutes to get some bread after asking twice, and well over an hour wait for dinner. The plus side the my veal chop was great, my wife's lamb the best she ever had.
Red Room has made the most of a tough situation.

We were seated up front near the musician, though talented, was a bit too loud for conversation amongst our table.
The Red Room is such a great , quiet gem. Food is always better than we remember it to be . The tables are more than adequately spread out and staff is extremely “Covid “ Cautious. Highly recommend.
Food was served a little cold.
Reserved a table inside only to be told upon arrival no indoor dining. it was a chilly evening. They had 5 heaters for outside dining, three of which didn't work. Two were directed directly at 2 tables leaving the rest of us to deal with a cold wind. Asked for an extra dish to share salad, still waiting for it. Asked for salt and pepper, it arrived just before the check. Asked for the above several times from different wait staff and never got it. Waitress took our orders and disappeared until check was asked for. Was not a pleasant experience. Many other dinning options available in the area, sorry we didn't pick one of those. It will be a long time before we try them again, if ever.
