First understand, I have been here before and it was great (but not for several years). Companion and I came to celebrate Father's Day and I was disappointed all around. No menu or drink specials for FD ! Companion's food was delivered, incorrect order and waitress couldn't believe it and started to be confrontational , left food and went inside to "check" to see if it was incorrect .. Meanwhile, I had mine and he had a plate that was not his sitting in his place for a good several minutes... Waitress came back and politely acknowledged that she was unfamiliar with what he had ordered and that is why it came out wrong .. OK, can be understanding ! Still, now I have to eat my meal while they remake his ... kinda took the fun out of the whole deal.. When his was delivered, it was underwhelming for sure and neither one was worth the $$ we paid. We had 2 entrees, and app that we split , 1 glass of wine and 1 beer and our mean was well over $100.00 AND, no compensation for them messing it up! I was disappointed for sure and probably will not go back .. should have know when it was fairly empty on a special occasion :(
Good food, great service.
Excellent experience. We came for Father's Day dinner. Our server was phenomenal and I really hate I didn't catch her name. She served our 7 top in the bar area on Sunday, June 14th. Friendly, professional, accommodating.
Service was great. Food is quite pricey. Jambalaya priced at $16.00 for a bit of rice, small amounts of chicken and shrimp with some onions and peppers. I understand businesses need to make money, but at least deliver on the food quality/quantity. Crab cakes are not made from lump crab, they are overly breaded and lacking in seasoning. We live in an age of lousy restaurants.
Very disappointed in the Father's Day Buffet. It was overpriced for average buffet food.
Very disappointed with the lack of service and food quality. Monday night 6:30pm reservations. Food not hot, very long wait for food and drinks. Short staffed and Kitchen could not even get food out. Took 1 hour before we even received our appetizers. Not one of the staff had a smile on there faces and looking like they hated there jobs....
Service was great but the food was not. Ordered the special and it was over cooked and way over salted
Great food ! Love the risotto with wild rice & mushrooms, grilled chicken or salmon salads
Good selection of wine by the glass. Beautiful outdoor patio Across the street from live music at Birkdale on Friday& Saturday night.
Food was average. Pricey menu for many items. Didn't think food was braggable!
Not our best visit to Red Rocks. This was our anniversary dinner and will, unfortunately, be our last for a while. The wait staff is too aggressive with removing what they perceive to be an empty plate. Too many wait staff stopping by the table. Space the visits out a bit more. It seemed like there were 5 to 6 hostesses. Much too many for a small restaurant. Felt crowded.
I ordered a salad in addition to the entrees. The salad never came. I notified the gentlemen delivering the food and he said he would check on it. He never came back. When the waitress came back, I told her to skip the salad since half my entree was eaten at that point.
Walking to the bathroom, I noticed food and crumbs strewn about the floor at the entrance to the kitchen.
I suppose I expected better at this price point.
We went to celebrate a late Mother's Day. My mom and I really enjoyed everything about Red Rocks. We ended up ordering dessert but couldn't nearly eat it all. The waitress was kind enough to offer to let us wrap it up and keep it in their dessert cooler to come back later for. This was the best suggestion ever! Absolutely would recommend Red Rocks!
Our party of 10 were very well taken care of. Food, drinks & service were excellent.
Sample desserts provided by the manager were much appreciated.
Made a reservation through open table. No issues. Sat in bar area by choice so noise was expected. The appetizer wings were outstanding! Sauce was great, no breading (a plus) and good size. Drinks were pretty good on level of strength. However the entrees..... I had the double filet medallions. They were cooked correctly and they had good flavor not requiring sauce and i actually pulled them apart with my fork. Where this place is lacking is in the pre prepared sides for expediting. The garlic mashed were so dry they were inedible. They had that ice cream scoop shape because they were just scoop and go. ( no uncommon but damn). They broccoli was completely undercooked and so were my wife’s green beans. But all that with four drinks total between the two of us was $126.00. This was a $50 meal AT BEST. My wife is a trained chef so I hate leaving negative reviews rooted preference, this is not that. But this is kitchen 101 for keeping expedite side order food in good order.
My server was awesome, attentive when I needed her to be and laid back when I needed space! She read my situation very well. My food was uninspiring. Steak, mashed potatoes and green beans. The steak lacked flavor and was dry, but after requesting wostershire sauce it was better. I love country southern mashed taters , but these were also on the dry side. My salad and beans were perfect.
The food is always great. They do a good job at keeping your drinks filled and a short wait to get your food. The desserts are so good!
We had a wonderful anniversary dinner at Red Rocks last week. Making reservations was simple, and we were seated immediately upon arrival. Our server was great.. attentive to our needs and offered excellent advise on our dining options. The food was exceptional!! And we also loved that we could get a larger pour for a glass of wine.. nice touch. We plan to become ‘regulars’.
We had an excellent meal & wine. Service was excellent and food was fabulous!!! Our 1st time there and we'll be back again!!
Mother’s Day. A perfect place.
Mother’s Day!! We were seated in the bar, very noisy!! Service & food was, as always, very good, just wasn’t the “quiet” Mother’s Day conversation type of atmosphere!
No worries, we’re gamers and love Red Rocks!
I usually enjoy Red Rocks, but it was crowded and the buffet was not that convenient. It was overpriced for what was offered. But I will go there again for regular meals. I like the regular menu as it has good food and reasonably priced options. Its a good place for meeting family members who live in the area for an early dinner or late lunch.
great food and choices for Mother's Day, sat us down and very easy. A little disorganized with the line to get to food but it worked out.
The buffet was the worst I have ever been to. Odd food choices. And to top it off it was $36 per person. $77 for the worst food I have ever eaten. First and last time I will ever be there.
Everything was great but they did not tell us it was buffet style at the front desk and they should have.
Food and service were great, but the buffet area is very cramped. Also, it was way overpriced for what they offered. To charge $37 a person for brunch and not even have peel and eat shrimp or an omelet station is too much. Desert selections were very limited and came off as "cheap" - small cuts of cake and cookies/brownies - come on..you can do better than this. This was more of a $24.95 meal at best. I will definitely explore other options for next Mother's Day.
Delicious food, attentive service, and excellent atmosphere. All the staff were friendly and nice. Very clean. It is now my favorite. Thank you Red Roecks for a great experience.
Enjoyed a nicely prepared meal on their outdoor patio. Excellent seafood options.
Girls at hostess stand seem disinterested. I walked in and gave them my name for my reservation. They sat us at a seat in the bar. We literally sat there for 10 minutes with no one coming to our table. When I went back to the hostess stand to look for someone, a girl standing by the desserts asked “what can I help you find?” I said “a server. We’ve been here for 10 minutes and no one has waited on us.” She then asked me if I had seated myself. Uh, no.
A server came over and apologized ... told us it had been a long night.
Food is usually good...was very average this night. First time back since the re-open, and was disappointing
We always have great service and amazing food. Red Rock has become our go to restaurant for special occasions and nights out. We have never had a bad meal or experience.
Love this place for lunch and dinner, but had Sunday Brunch there yesterday. Outstanding p, as always. Austin did a perfect job!
Not inexpensive, but very good food and service.
My friend and I spent an leisurely evening catching up while enjoying great food and great service. I am so glad that Red Rocks is back in Birkdale.
Went for my wife's birthday. Wasn't super impressed. It had been a couple years since we last went, and had remembered the food to be very good. The service and food were both a bit lack-luster this time around. The waitress arrived promptly after we were seated, which was nice, and she started by offering their special bottle of wine. Neither my wife or I drink, so we politely declined, to which she asked if we wanted a cocktail, beer, soda, or sweet tea. We both prefer water, so that is what we asked for instead. I had the feeling our waitress was quite disappointed by our lack of beverage purchase based on her tone. She then passed us off to another, younger waitress about 5 minutes later which, while it could have been coincidental, somewhat confirmed my original thoughts about her disappointment. My wife even leaned in at one point and asked if the staff seemed "kind of unfriendly."
The second waitress turned out to be very nice, though. My wife ordered the lobster ravioli, which is what she had a few years ago. I ordered the kobe meatloaf. I also ended up getting a sweet tea, since I thought the water had a metallic taste to it (I'm a bit picky with water, though, so I doubt most people would agree with me here). The meatloaf wasn't very impressive. It was fairly dry, and didn't have a whole lot of taste. I ended up eating mashed potatoes in every bite with the meatloaf so it would have some flavor. My wife's lobster ravioli, though, was fantastic. She clearly made the better food choice (which was good since it was her birthday after all). Total bill came to around $50 after tip, which seemed a little high for the quality/taste. Probably won't return again for a while.
Had an appointment. Was there early. Still waited to be seated about 15 minutes for tables to be cleared off. Felt rushed after sitting down. Food came out in a timely manner. After bill was paid didn’t see another waiter or staff member for the rest of the time.
we sat in booth not in bar area ,,much quiter as we requested ,,will be back a couple times a month
last Saturday WAS INSANE WITH PROM COUPLES EVERY WHERE!
Food was below expectations, I believe restaurant was overwhelmed.
Will go back. Hopefully this was just one of the crazy nights!
If you like seafood you must try the Salmon. It was delicious.
Great location in Birkdale Village! Valet parking was very convenient and the server was very friendly, attentive, and entertaining!
Our daughters birthday
Section we were seated was to dark, needed a flashlight to read menu.
Service was average, no bread served with meal.
Food was tasty but for the price at least a couple of warm buns would have been nice.
Service and food were both awesome! Loved seating on the patio. Great selection of drinks apps and dinner courses. Service is always great.
