Great tasting hot food with knowledgeable efficient service.
The service was great. The manager was very attentive. I was there with 2 girlfriends and we did not feel rushed. The coconut cake is EXCELLENT!
I want to like this place. The atmosphere is lively, you can sit outside and the service is pretty good. When I arrived, the valet was nowhere to be found - I had to get out of my car and stand to ask a guy smoking a cigarette if there was a valet. He said I wasn't the first to ask, and that he thought so. Finally the valet came. Once seated, the service is fine but the food just isn't that great. We were impressed that our filet medallions, sauteed spinach and potato cake came out quickly, as well as the lobster ravioli and asparagus, but we weren't impressed with the taste. The filet wasn't the best quality (had stringy bits throughout), was cooked more than I asked for, and the spinach was bitter.. and it's one of my go-to sides everywhere I go! The potato cake was soggy - I was expecting a nice crisp crust. My date said her ravioli wasn't good, as she could hardly taste any seafood in it. The drinks were pretty good though - my Manhattan was made exactly the way I wanted it, and the drinks were strong and tasted great. If they got the food up to par with the local competition, this place couldn't be beat!
We had an excellent waiter. The seafood he recommended to my husband was excellent. Overall the food was great, especially the dessert. Have eaten here many times and will definitely be back. Thanks.
Awesome as usual ! Friendly staff, great dinner choices, atmosphere second to none, indoor or outdoor..
Red Rocks is not what it used to be - food was OK, but way overpriced for what you get.
For the prices they charge, the quality should be much higher, and they should at least provide some bread or a side salad as part of the meal.
I MISS THE SPECIALS
WAS DISAPPOINTED NOT BEING DONE
Everything was good until we received our check and I immediately discovered it was not our check. After finally getting a hold of our waitress and waiting about 10 min she tells us that someone else received our check and paid it and she needs to get a manager to straighten it out. After another 20 minutes and a bunch of group discussions we witness as well as my wife checking in on what going and being told rather rudely by the manager that it was being handled. 10 minutes later I am told the amount and asked for my credit card. No Apologies, no percent off the bill . Used to go here about once a month. Service has definitely suffered since it re-opened after the fire .
Absolutely wonderful service! The food is always great!
This was our first time and we very much enjoyed the experience. The food was very good and the atmosphere was nice.
It took 2.5 hours to get our order in, food ate (2 salads with water) and to finally receive our check.
We have been eating at Red Rocks for many years. This is the first meal we had that wasn’t up to par. 3 of the 4 people in our party ordered the grouper special. One of the groupers wasn’t cooked thoroughly and the manager graciously gave our friend and gift card for $25.00. The other 2grouper meals were tasteless to say the least. I never add salt to my meal, but without the addition of salt, the meal wasn’t worth eating. Of course the desserts were the highlight of the entire meal. So we weren’t disappointed with the chocolate cake and coconut cream cake. We will of course, give them another try. We like the location and I’m hoping this was just an off night for the chef.
Just too pushy.
Very good experience here. The staff was very friendly, and helpful. The food was prepared well. I would definitely go back.
We came on a Restaurant week reervation and everything was great. We will definitely be back.
Was very disappointed. Not nearly as good as it used to be. Way over priced
Food was excellent. There is something for everyone
First time and it was very nice. Service was excellent. We had a waitstaff training and he was phenomenal
Went for restaurant week. Food was overpriced for the taste. Website said business casual but most had on shorts and jeans.
Great dinner. Felt a little rushed by our server, but the food was fantastic.
We ate at the restaurant because it was Queens Feast. The menu was great with great choices for the 3 course meal.
We only go to Red Rocks Cafe for special occasions because it is so expensive. Even for Charlotte restaurant week, a meal deal and a drink for each myself and husband plus tip was over $100. My husband's steak had a lot of fat so his meal was not worth the price. My meal was delicious!
Nice spot but the food was so-so I had the filet medallions and shrimp which had no flavor. The service was decent though.
The service was exceptional and food delicious however we were disappointed that Red Rocks doesn't do anything g special like a dessert for a birthday. It was my husband's birthday and he was hoping for a dessert.
We went here for our 38th anniversary. The service was GREAT! Our waitress was AJ. She was wonderful! All the service was above and beyond.
My new favorite nice local restaurant! Never had a dish we have not loved. Great atmosphere, service and food!
Service was good but food was bland and blah. Nothing special. Great patio to dine on.
We went for brunch with some friends, and it was nice that we could do the brunch or order off the lunch menu. The service was excellent, and it is in the middle of the center area with nice outdoor fountains,
I use to come here all the time before it had a kitchen fire. Yet, this was the worst service I had ever had along with the worst tasting food. Nothing had a flavor.
Wonderful food and great service. Our only issue was six large people seated in a booth although tables appeared to be available. And since the reservation was made weeks in advance. Management did provide a free appetizer for the inconvenience though.
We were visiting a completely new area to us and discovered Red Rock via Google map and booked our table for 2 using Open table. The restaurant is located in a very nice walking outdoor mall type setting and provides complimentary valet parking. It was early in the evening and we were able to secure an almost immediate reservation however, I would not expect to be so fortunate as the evening progressed. We would highly recommend booking a reservation on Open table instead of arriving and waiting forever. Our waiter was fantastic. He was attentive, informative and offered us excellent service. The bloody Mary cocktail was excellent as was the calamari appetizer and marinara dip. Dinner was fantastic and uniquely all of the menu items are named after NASCAR drivers and crew chiefs. The manager introduced himself and welcomed us as did the general manager. Both gentleman we're very personable and made us feel welcomed that we will definitely be back.
Had issue with the mango chutney that management made gracious attempt to correct. Effort appreciated
Lobster and medallions were excellent. Nice size portions. Steak was cooked they way I requested-well done.
Had a great meal. The spinach salad was fresh and I love that dressing! The blackened fish tacos were great, love the guacamole salsa The rice was alright, but I would have liked it more seasoned. Definitely coming back.
Red Rocks NEVER disappoints ! Great menu, friendly staff !
Great place for drinks, food and service
Nice outdoor patio
Great home made desserts
Our server was very helpful
Really nice! Food was same as I remembered. Delicious! Didn’t do anything special for our anniversary but it was still lovely.
Mike our server was very professional with an excellent appreciation for customer satisfaction. Mike assisted Red Rocks Cafe in creating the perfect environment for my date (Lisa) and myself.
The salads with salmon were excellent. Also sat outside listening to the band playing in birkdale. Bonus points!
