Had a group of 9 for dinner. Everything excellent. Recommend take advantage of the complimentary valet parking at this restaurant as parking can be a bit of a bear on a busy weekend.
Excellent wait staff, very attentive to make sure you enjoy your visit and meal. Wonderfully, we did not feel rushed, and yet waiter was always available when we had a question. Food is the best I have ever had in the Charlotte Huntersville area. Very comfortable booth seating and privacy. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED AND MORE!!!

Small portions and very pricey. Food is good but severely overpriced, especially the kid’s menu.
Food and service were mediocre at best. We ordered calamari and mussels. Mussels were ok - nothing special. The calamari, however, was horrible. I took one bite and refused to eat anymore. I should have advised my boyfriend to stop but he insisted it tasted fine to him. Now he’s been in the bathroom all night because of it. We ordered salmon special for appetizer and the shrimp and scallop pasta dish. I set my expectations pretty low bc of the nasty apps. Neither were terrible but the shrimp and scallops both tasted frozen. This place is like a glorified TGIFs or Chili’s. Save your money and eat at home. Experience was terrible from beginning to end.
Enjoyed a wonderful dinner - staff was very attentive
We were really looking forward to trying out Red Rocks. Menu is very versatile, there’s something for everyone. We ordered a lemon drop and old fashioned and both were VERY weak, not worth the money we spent. Both of our meals were good, could have had a better cut of filet, still tender.
For a quiet dinner for two I would not recommend sitting in the bar area. Normally I prefer the bar area as there’s more atmosphere however it was extremely loud, the noise carried and there weren’t enough soft furnishings to absorb some of the sound. Next time we know to ask to sit in the restaurant and not the bar. Food was excellent excellent excellent.
The menu listed the tuna dish as a taco which is usually eaten in ones hand. When the food arrived it was nothing like a traditional taco. The sauce, while enjoyable, overpowered the minimal amount of tuna on the plate.
We took my husband out for Father's Day. Nice dinner-he loved the salmon, great service. Only 'complaint' was music was loud and a little too much (different selection of music for dinner would have been more enjoyable). we love Red Rocks Café and will be back!

This is our favorite place for special occasions or for an extra date night once in awhile. The food and service are always wonderful.

This was our 7th visit to Red Rocks, it appears to have declined some since our last visit in 2018. The service was very weak as our waitress was slow, not very attentive and didn't keep drinks filled. Food taste was very good, thank goodness. We were celebrating a birthday to which waitress stated they don;t do birthdays or singing. Didn't care about the singing but not catering to families who celebrate birthdays just lost you a customer.

VERY loud. Server wasn’t very attentive. Food was ok. Fish was a tad hover cooked, steak a little undercooked. Otherwise, ok.

Good food, but too crowded and very loud. Bar is too small to accommodate the number of people waiting for tables. Chaotic. Once sitting, food is good, but quite expensive for the type of place it is. Service was good.

Overall the food and service was good but it was way to loud. I couldn't hear my wife talking on the other side of the table. There is no reason it should have been that noisy. The lighting was so dim i couldn't see the menu, I had to use the flashlight on my phone to read it. I looked around and saw other people doing the same thing. Wake up Red Rocks! When you have it that dark, people may think you have something to hide!

We had great evening - were seated immediately, enjoyed all aspects of the meal - excellent meal options / variety, & perfect service / pace. We’ve never been disappointed at Red Rocks, but sometimes we’re still surprised at just how good it is.

We ordered the rib eye and were very disappointed in the cut, it was very thin . It also lacked seasoning and had no char. The sides were very bland and basic.

Red Rocks was my favorite restaurant for 15 years, but I may never go back after Saturday's visit. The child's chicken tenders was the only order that was correct. One order never showed up at all and two were wrong. Finally gave up and asked for check, which took another 20 minutes. Never saw a manager.

Red Rocks always delivers. Good food service and ambiance. Nothing awesome or amazing but always consistently very good. A great staple dining spot.
I have to be honest here. My husband and I were dissapointed this time . We frequent your place and we always love Red Rocks and always recommend your place to others. But I have to say the food was not as tasty as it used to be. Im hoping it was just an off night as it wasnt very crowded as it usually is. I just wanted you to know cause I would hate to see the place go downhill. It has always veen an awesome place up till now.
Red Rocks typically has reliable food. I say reliable in a good way. During this particular visit the food was very salty and my lobster tail wasn’t properly cleaned. I mentioned both of these issues to the waitress.
Overall, I like Red Rocks a lot. Have been there many times, and the food and service is usually very good. Was an anniversary celebration, and the atmosphere was nice.

My family visited while we were on a weekend getaway to Lake Norman, NC. We had a phenomenal experience at Red Rocks Cafe. We felt very welcomed by our server and the manager even approached us to welcome us, as it was our first time visiting. The food was excellent and the service was even better. I highly recommend Red Rocks. Try the Buffalo Calamari and the Oreo Cheesecake!

Haven't been here in a while (so many choices) and once again we asked each other "Why do we go anywhere else?"
Mother's Day was very disappointing on a day where we'd like to fee special being the guest of honor. I'll start with the positive but it did n't make up for the negatives...
- Easy reservations via OpenTable
- Love that they offer Valet although we did not use it.
- Greeted with smiles by hostesses
- Seated promptly
- Food was delicious
- Drinks were delicious
Now for the negatives...
- We arrived to a smelly outdoor seating area. The floor beneath our table literally looked like 5 toddlers just dumped their food on the floor their whole meal. It was disgusting and I didn't want to put my bag on the floor because of it. We only had 3 chairs for the 3 of us, so I held my large tote bag on my lap. Was also squished in there with the back of my seat touching the neighbors behind us.
- I asked for the waitress to send over someone to clean up the mess. To her credit, she did several times but no one ever came. After we asked again and 30 minutes go by, she finally went and got a broom and cleaned it herself. Not fair to her as it's not her job BUT it's unacceptable that the mess was even left there as long as it was. I'm glad she did the right things but at that point it was too late. I already was angry we chose the restaurant and feeling ripped off as it's not a cheap dive place. It's supposed to be nice.
- I ordered the Crab Cakes... Do NOT order the Crab Cakes. $26 and I did not see any crab, taste any crab. It was unbelievable. In my 40 years of eating out, having eaten many crab cakes I don't think I've ever experienced anything like this. They maybe have a dime's worth of crab in them. I'm not even exaggerating and that is giving them credit. I honestly would think there was no crab in them at all by the look and taste. That being said, they were yummy. They tasted like as if you took a spoon full of mashed potatoes and then fried them in a pan, similar to a Latke but mushier. Yummy, just NOT what a crab cake should be. :-(
It’s my fault for not looking at the website, but I didn’t expect a brunch buffet to still be going on at 3:00pm. No one really wants eggs and French toast sticks that time of day. We love Red Rocks and will be back, but it was disappointing that we could not order our favorites from the menu. The restaurant is not conducive to buffet, people running in to each other and squeezing by tables. Here’s my two cents, the last thing most Moms want to do on Mother’s Day is drag their kids through a crowded buffet line and make their own plates while helping the kids with theirs. I saw a lot of moms who looked exhausted and aggravated. Next year I will make sure to find a restaurant where I can be served and relaxed.
