   From the first taste of our first course until the last bite of our desert course, we were hooked. The whole meal was outstanding. The Red Ox Inn did not disappoint. We will be back.

   We went for my wife’s birthday and had a great meal with a lovely bottle of wine. It was a wonderful night of food, wine and conversation.

   Heard so many good things, was excited to try it out for my birthday and my food was underwhelming and burnt. My husbands was fine. The waitress never came over and asked how our food was, made us feel not welcome and almost rude. So we didn’t even have dessert, or wine since i didn’t want to spend any more money there. Will not ever go back or recommend.

   Best beef tartare for a long time. Knife chopped not grounded, with délicate inclusion of porchicini, chives and seasonings. Duck breast with crispy skin, extra tender and prepared with great respect for the genuine taste of the ingredients. Friendly casual service and original wine list. Been there a couple of times, never been disappointed.

   I took my husband for his birthday and we had an excellent time. The food was fantastic and our server was very nice. The only reason I gave the ambience section 4 stars is due to loud road work being done outside the restaurant. This was in no way the restaurants fault. We will definitely be back and have already recommended this place to many friends.

    Small dinning area, very peaceful setting. Service was great and they take the time to explain/ answer any questions about what each item on the menu is made with. Wine list but no drink menu was interesting. I would suggest to offer a drink menu for those who don't enjoy wine. Dessert was great and even had a candle for the birthday boy! Will be back.

    As always we really enjoyed our evening at the Red Ox Inn. We plan to go there more frequently in the future. The food is always very flavorful.

    The food was simply amazing. I had the beef and my wife had the Cod. Both of us were very impressed with presentation and taste portion sizing was perfect, and the timing of the courses couldn't have been better.

    Fantastic food, cozy atmosphere. Only two servers for the entire restaurant resulted in fair service at best. Waters often sat unfilled for 10+'minutes. Wine was the only drink option with dinner. Maybe not for everyone.

    Family from Australia & we went to Red Ox Inn. The Menu was interesting but limited. We had a $100 Gift Cert & our server had the audacity to deduct 18% Gratuity from this, for a table of 4. We were embarrassed & had to explain this is has never happened before. Our Total Bill was in the $300s. Luckily, we will recommend, to all we know, to never eat at Red Ox Inn!

    Absolutely great dinning experience; a little pricy comparatively but worth it. Only element affecting the overall very positive experience is the sound level can be anoyingly high when its full. Conversations fill the room bouncing off the flat ceilings. Still, not a big issue.

    I've always enjoyed our Red Ox Inn experiences. The food is always unique and delicious. The only thing that I found this time was the beef price was out of line. I have no problem with great food at a certain price point but $45 for beef steak I felt was over priced.

    We had just a lovely meal at the Red Ox Inn. We have dined there before, and have always found the food to be extremely thoughtfully put together, so that every dish provides delicious and sometimes unexpected combinations of flavours. You always feel like you have had a special experience after eating there.

    We haven’t been to the Red Ox in a while, the food is always outstanding but the menu had got a little samey. We went for our wedding Anniversary and wow, there has been a gear change for the better. The menu has had a major overhaul and the dishes were creative, new and absolutely delicious! My husband had the carrot salad which was beautifully done with a gentle curry flavour, but no heat. I had the fish to start which was outstanding with pickled cucumber and apple and a subtle dressing. My husband then had the beef with a homemade ‘hp’ sauce which lifted the dish to another level. I had the duck breast with beetroot, parsnip puree and cherry compot. This was 11 out of 10. The earthy, sweet and lushious flavour combinations were out of this world. My husband had the chocolate and peanut torte which he said was womderful, (i can’t say, I don’t like peanuts!). I had the Ice cream sandwich with lemon Ice cream, lemon and pooyseed biscuit and blueberry compote. Wow, just wow! This is the Red Ox back on top form, with new and exciting dishes and flavour combinations. I just love 5is place and we’ll be back very soon!

    Having only been to Red Oz Inn a handful of times, each time I go, I am impressed. The food has such familiar food items in it, but somehow the taste is like nothing I have ever eaten. Amazed by the lovely pairing of ingredients to make such a great dish each time! And the dessert this time was by far my favourite birthday dessert.

    The Red Ox has been our birthdays, anniversaries and special occasions first choice for years (we've lost track of exactly how many) and never disappoints. When we have out of town guests we always make sure to get to Red Ox — it's that good!
