Great Mother’s Day brunch!
Visited for Mother’s Day brunch. Great ambiance, delicious food which came out timely and mimosas! Would definitely return.
Outdoor dining was very tight. I asked for regular seating was not expecting to be seated outside
No reply to my special request
The menu was VERY limited. Our seating was right beside the waiter station and very confined. Perhaps we’ll be back again after the pandemic.
Our server was great! We only had drinks and appetizers but everything was delicious! We felt very safe and it was wonderful to see the restaurant busy and lively again!
This is my second time there staff very friendly drinks are very good and that cheesesteak is to die for🙂🙂
The menu is extremely small, which we did not realize until we got there. The limited menu with higher prices led us to just get an appetizer and drinks.
ordered the seafood boil. it was very bland and not seasoned well. Not horrible but very bland.
Went on a Monday for the Lobster bake special which was half the price on other nights. Restaurant was quiet, few customers and appropriately spaced for Covid requirements. Service was pleasant but a bit uneven, flavor of the lobster bake was tasty if a little short on lobster and appetizers were good sized and flavorful. Was a good experience during Covid but not necessarily a place we would eat regularly
Great Sunday brunch for my family! Thank you!
Clean, fun atmosphere. Great service, great food.
Sadly, I was disappointed. I was celebrating my birthday and made the reservation for 5 people, however they only allowed four of us to sit together and my mother sat alone across the room. It was too late for us to find another restaurant, so we settled.
Aside from that, there was only one waiter serving the entire restaurant (upstairs and downstairs). He was great, but slow service is the outcome of that scenario.
Hello Karen, Sorry you that we could not seat you next to each other however the city of Philadelphia does not currently allow more than 4 at a table to dine together in doors.
Bottomless mimosas and brunch were great! We loved our server
Brunch was great. The steak was cooked exactly how I like it (medium). The chicken and waffles was tasty. Bottle of champagne for $22 and comes with your choice of juice. The waiter and bartender were both attentive and nice. I would definitely go back.
Food not hit when delivered but all else good. Missed the old brunch menu
Came for the lobster bake and left a happy camper! It was awesome 😎
The cheesesteak was amazing and was great quality for the value! Highly recommend it.
Great food, great service!
Our favorite restaurant, now that we are all vaccinated, it was the first place we dined since last February.
Great ambiance. Nice selections on menu, something for everyone. Service is excellent. Been to Red Owl many times and it never disappoints.
One of the best meals and service I have ever had in a restaurant. Especially during COVID...very efficient and clean system. Our server was so attentive and kind and the food was exceptional! Thank you!
The food was delicious and the service was great. Our waiter was friendly.
Great! Will come
The ambience was nice however I would have like to see more on the menu or more of the brunch options offered at a later time. However the drinks and the service were a 10 out of 10.
We had to wait after being told to come early. However the young lady (I can’t remember her name but I’ll remember her face) she gave us complementary Champagne and was hilarious. She made it worth it.
Seated quickly, the service was great, the brunch was yummy and the $20 Prosecco experience was valuable.
Good food and friendly staff. The lunch menu was small but had a nice variety of choices. Our order was taken but never placed and without us even complaining the staff realized the mistake, promptly placed the order, and then discounted our bill. Very impressed with how they handled the oversight. I will add though, that no one ever came back to take our credit card and we were delayed almost 15 more minutes just waiting to pay our check.
This place would be that much better with a bit more focus!
Ok experience. Nothing stood out, pretty basic Sunday brunch.
Ok. Nothing fantastic.
Felt very welcomed. We’re given complimentary glass of champagne after the manager was informed we were celebrating a special occasion. Service was very quick.
Pretty expensive for some mediocre grub. Must be the location. Plenty of better spots you can go to in old Philly.
As always- excellent food! They did a great job with the seating and we never felt uneasy or nervous. Service was excellent.
The service was excellent. Very fast, friendly, the server was wonderful. Made suggestions, brought food out immediately. The atmosphere is amazing.
Food choices were boring! Brunch was very limited. For the food offered the prices were quite high. Definitely better Brunch options in the nearby vicinity. Although the breakfast sandwich was well-made I could get a similar quality at a diner. I was surprised at the lack of creativity in the dishes.
Food was fine, nothing special and somewhat overpriced. I expected the food to be better quality since the menu was so limited and selective. Overall, it was good not great. Service also took a while to get our waters and orders placed upon seating.
The service was great!!! The server was nice and made sure that we was comfortable. The food was good.
Service was amazing and the food was really good.
Horrific and I do mean HORRIBLE, HORRIFIC!!!!!!!! The telephone girl-bartender-delivery girl-order taker girl Sara is terrible!!!! She is so inappropriate and immature that it’s a true disservice to Ref Owl. I will not be returning after being a loyal patron for 8 years which I think might have been when the originally opened. The one man show is nor a good look!
Waitstaff was wonderful and friendly.
