Red O in Santa Monica is a great place for an afternoon lunch or evening cocktail. The service was excellent and food prices reasonable. The only drawback was the cooler temperatures; outdoor seating means doors are left open and the tables are drafty.
Red O Santa Monica was very noisy. The skinny margarita was watery and cost $17.00. My Jidori chicken breast was over cooked and tough. The vegetable enchilada was horrible. The tacos were mediocre.
The food was not as flavorful as I remember, and the service was subpar. Will not go back.
The restaurant was fantastic. In fact the service was what really made the day. Our server was one of the best person that could have helped make the special occasion for my friend even better.
We had four great meals. The oysters, guacamole, and yellowtail aguachile were fantastic. The Chilean sea bass was moist and very flavorful. The braised short rib enchiladas were awesome and the crab and shrimp enchiladas were excellent. The lamb chop and scallop combination was great. We are definitely going back many more times
First time here. Food was good. I would come back.
Celebrating an engagement. Nothing was great nothing bad. Portions were smaller than Newport location. Service average. Newport location does a far better job on the Margaritas.
We are Red O fans, but hadn’t had dinner in this location before. Each location has it’s own distinct charm. This one is right where the action is in Santa Monica across the street from the Pier. No matter, because we had the same great margaritas, delicious food and friendly service. A great night out with friends.
It’s pretty noisy and busy, but the food is pretty good! Definitely a hipster chic vibe, but it’s a nice time and literally across the street from the beach.
Awesome evening at Red O. Food was delicious and the margaritas even better. Excellent service as well
