Red Monkey is a fun and casual eatery and lounge. Designed to be a sports bar and night-life destination, there is always something going on inside. On Tuesday nights, guests are invited to bring their smartest friends out for a trivia competition, and any time there is a game on all eyes are on the wall of HDTVs that sit behind the bar.
The menu is American bar food done right. There is a section on Red Monkey's menu for pizza, burgers, sandwiches, soups, salads and entrees. One of the signature dishes of the house is Mamma's mac n' cheese with buffalo chicken, jalapeno bacon, smoked pork and smoked chicken. At Red Monkey the beer is just as important as the food, and there are 26 taps behind the bar that are filled with craft beer from local breweries in addition to some more well-known national brands.
I'm just sorry all my kids weren't behaved
The right way for the style of restaraunt
My family and I ate ate the Red Monkey after a basketball game. we were very pleased with the service and food
After a 3 hr. drive, my husband and I enjoyed appetizers and refreshing beer before calling it a day. The Gorgonzola cheesy fries were good, but our favorite is the dynamite shrimp, perfect with a crispy coating topped with a delicious, light'n creamy sriracha-type sauce. Our server, Rachel, provided personable service with just the right amount of attention.
I am always pleased with my experience at the Red Monkey. GREAT FOOD, Amazing service, and reasonably priced. It is one of our go to places when we go out in Walla Walla. In the downtown area. Has great food specials and daily type deals. It has something for everyone.
Thanks to OT, we were able to handily get a table for the 6 of us. Fish Friday tacos were excellent.
We brought a large group here and it really smelled bad in there!! It smelled like a old stinky house. I ordered the tortilla soup and it was about 1/2 cup! I asked them to fill the bowl and was told it was "pre-measured"???? We won't be back.
I had a really great beef sandwich. The fries were scares - maybe 20 - but they weren't that good anyway so not a big deal. The other 3 in our group each had a pizza on flatbread (only kind available). They all said it was "just okay" and not great. I would say get the sandwich! They had an okay list of beers however.
We've enjoyed lunch at the Red Monkey twice now and like the burgers, sandwiches, and fries. The sports bar atmosphere is tasteful and fun. We had a bad start with the service last Saturday as we were not waited on for at least ten minutes with people coming in after us being promptly attended to. If we hadn't been meeting someone there for a birthday lunch, my husband and I would've left. However, we did change tables into another waitress's area and she was there practically before we sat down. My anger cooled and we ended up with great food and service. I wish I had gotten both waitresses names...for separate reasons. We will go to the Red Monkey again when we are in Walla Walla.
