Our waitress went beyond in making sure our soup was hot not warm but hot! Wish there were more selections. we have been coming four weeks in a row but now we will be moving on for we have tried atleadt 95% of the menu.

The food was good the place was not the noisy and the staff was friendly. We will be back again.

Always consistent. We drive 40 miles to eat there because it’s the best tasting Chinese food.

Customer service is very good. Food is ok. Some items much better than others. Portions these days seem smaller. Lobster way over priced.

The food was very good, one of the best Chinese Food restaurants I have been to! Everyone was friendly and I will be going back! Also... The Red Lantern is right inside the main entrance, so U don’t have to go deep inside to find it.

Great time at Red Lantern! Made reservations online and was seated promptly. Service was great...food and drinks were great. Just wish we would've had a bigger table for all the food! Thunder Roll was excellent and so was the crab! Martinis were on point! This was our second time visiting and we will definitely be back!

Food was delicious but service was lacking. The ambiance of the restaurant was very inviting and we enjoyed the atmosphere. We would have preferred to have had a more attentive server (we never got refills and he completely forgot to put in our order of potstickers for our appetizer) :((

Ordinarily, it's top notch - this time however, they seated someone else for my reservation, and then seated us at a table that should not have been in use w/distancing.

The food is *always* outstanding, however, and I cannot wait to go back. We're in there once a week.

I was very disappointed in the Orange chicken I had ordered. I'm spoiled
after eating at PF Changs, their orange chicken is not big pieces and you can
tell very selected chicken, white meat. Parts of your chicken pieces were
grisley (like skin pieces attached)?

Someone else may like your orange chicken?

Food is outstanding. Only comment is I wish they had a larger selection of dishes.

Food and service was outstanding. Best Chinese food we’ve eaten since moving to El Dorado Hills, and worth the drive. Husband had the beef and broccoli and the meat was amazing tender. Wor Wonton soup is to die for.

We go to Red Lantern a couple times a month. The food and drinks are always delicious. And the staff is always amazing. Definitely one of our favorite places!

We had a wonderful Birthday celebration. The food was fantastic and our waiter remembered the Birthday boys name the entire dinner. Thank you! We have been here a few times but this was the best yet. So appreciate the wonderful food.

the food doesn't taste as good before, and the serving is getting smaller, the whole peking duck we ordered has NO thighs and only ONE wing...i wonder if that was really a whole duck or just leftovers, so disappointing...i still gave a tip for the service because ANGELA was nice....you need to improve the amount of serving for your price and maybe hire a HAPPY CHEF....

Mongolian beef was delicious. Staff ready to serve you.

Wonderful staff and delicious food & drinks(Love Potion) went on Halloween and not crowded, casino floor could be heard but nothing terrible. Definitely will be coming back again!!

This is the loudest restaurant I have ever been at. Screaming children, kids running around. I could barely hear the people talk at my own table! Horrible experience.

Plus they no longer have the Chicken/Salmon Fried Rice on their menu.

Party of 7 celebrating a birthday. They put us into 2 tables even though a table accommodating 10 sat next to us empty throughout dinner. We asked for one table and manager said no!

Could not understand a word waitress was saying. 3 mask and a shield blocked her voice. I want my waiter to wear a mask, but that was 3 layers and you couldn't understand her.
She took our drink order 10 minutes after we set down, came back 15 with wrong drinks. Gave me soda water without the alcohol. Another 15 minutes, because only one bartender on a Saturday night. 30 minutes to have a drink! Service was not good!
Food was average. This is the opposite of my visit a week ago.

It was my wife’s birthday and so I made reservations @ Red Lantern Restaurant ( Thunder Valley Casino Resort) for dinner. We ordered an appetizer of fried calamari w/ dipping sauce, Kung Poa Chicken, Chow Mien( chicken) and Beef w/ broccoli ( American style). The calamari was good and served rather quickly. However, our main entrees seemed to take quite a while. Our waiter brought Beef w/ broccoli to our table but it was cold and we sent it back! Then our Kung Poa Chicken and Chow Mien arrived. Kung Poa Chicken was almost hot and the Chow Mien was just above Luke warm. I’m guessing there was a miscommunication with kitchen or whoever and that’s why our meal was served cold. Our waiter returned later with steaming hot Beef w/ broccoli entree but we were already disappointed. This meal was not worth the $70 comp points I used to pay for it! This was a bad experience for me and my wife on her birthday! The only thing good about this dinner was the hot tea & appetizer, wow! I’m not recommending this restaurant to anyone😕👎!

10/15/20 Update: The Food/Beverage manager @Thunder Valley Casino Resort contacted me in regards to my bad dining experience in the Red Lantern Restaurant. He apologized and refunded me the cost of our meal. It was a very good gesture on his/Thunder Valley’s part ! I and my wife appreciate and just may give them another chance😉!

It was ok, being it look like it just opened up. Service should of be better Food was good but not as I remember it last bust.
