About Red Lantern CT
Red Lantern is unlike anything Foxwoods has ever seen before. With a capacity of 225 people, Red Lantern is modeled after its sister property in Boston, and features a redesigned open kitchen, full sushi counter and lounge area. Once again designed by the award-winning Peter Niemitz, the space also features 66 lanterns hanging overhead with the entrance marked by oversized, red ceremonial doors. Featuring a large leather, wraparound couch, high-back red club chairs, black tufted club chairs and acupuncture lamp statues throughout, Red Lantern Connecticut has the same feel so many have fallen in love with, in its Boston counterpart.

Red Lantern CT Ratings and Reviews
I found the Red Latern to be a bit tired and dirty. The place needs a good dusting. The Red Laterns hanging from the ceiling and the speakers and wires over the dance floor are covered with dust. There’s stained and worn ceiling tiles over the entrance. The food is very average and the cappuccino machine was broken that we were served luke warm. Our server was very nice and replaced the cappuccinos with complementary coffee. I would not recommend this place for dinner. The cocktails were pricey but well made.
Overall had a good experience for our first time there. Booked an hour ahead and it was pretty empty (surprising for a Friday night). Waitress was awesome, drinks were good, food and desert were great! Was my first time trying Saki. Highly recommend the House Hot Saki if you haven’t tried it before. Excellent! We’ll definitely be back again!
We had a 6:15 reservation on a Saturday night - when we arrived, the gentleman that checked us in made a point to tell the hostess who was seating us that we were an OpenTable reservation before we were seated which seemed weird (on their website, under reservations, they link to OpenTable so not sure what this was about?). The restaurant itself had nice ambiance, but we got seated as one of the less favorable spots, right across from the bar and server prep station/ computer station and next to a door that opened up to a much nicer dining area - not sure if this was related to the fact that we were an "OpenTable reservation" or what lol.
Once seated food and drinks were good - we got a few appetizers and small plates to share and everything was delicious. We were happy with the prices in comparison to some of the other comparable restaurants located in Foxwoods. Waiter and staff were attentive to us and all surrounding tables. Would recommend for a nice dinner at Foxwoods.
Food Was wonderful, service was great. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars was due to the scorpion bowl....It was quite expensive and didn't taste very good. If you're going to spend $50 on one drink you at least expect it to taste good! But that's not the fault of the Wait staff or kitchen!
Our 2nd time there, first time was great. I have Celiac disease,so gluten-free choices were available, however, this time there were NO dessert choices except ice cream. Also, my salmon entree was not only a small portion, it was a half inch thick on one end and only skin on the other half. Weird and unacceptable. Will think twice before gong there before our next concert at Foxwoods. Disappointed, left hungry after paying $26.00 for an entree? Unbelievable! My non-gluten free husband loved his meal, but felt uncomfortable eating while I could do nothing but watch.
Red Lantern has awesome food, however the hostesses seem to lose sight that they are a restaurant not a status symbol. We were seated at a truly awful, not functional table staring at bathroom sinks and were made to feel terrible about it. The manager was hardly any better. Our visit was certainly marred by this.
We had made reservations for four. It was our first time here. We arrived on time and were greeted pleasantly and seated right away. Our waitress was table side quickly and very friendly and helpful. She help us with our choices and everything was delicious. Drinks were also very good. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Highly recommend.
We had a 5pm reservation. We were seated in a noisy area close to the check in stand. Our cocktails arrived after our appetizers were served. We had to ask to have the appetizer plates removed when the dinner was served. In spite of these difficulties, the food was was well prepared and delicious. Servers and management need some work.
We made a reservation, but once we got there we decided to sit at the bar as it seemed to have a better party atmosphere. The bartenders were really great, but at first one told us we could only have a limited menu at the bar, but when we asked the other bartender what she recommends, she suggested something that was not on the bar menu and we were confused because we certainly would have ordered from the main menu to begin with. The food was average, although it was brought out very quickly. Portions were small and prices were high. But we enjoyed ourselves anyway.
We came to Red Lantern on Saturday to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary our dinner was great! Our waiter Reuben was wonderful he was social, energetic, helped a lot with the menu! Food is a little pricey so would only come to celebrate special occasions.
We had an exception waitress, her name was Kara. We dined on 9/29, two couples and it was one of my friends birthday's a week prior. She noticed it was on her license and gave us a complimentary dessert. She was attentive and kind. Excellent all around - the food, atmosphere and service!
Me and wife thought of celebrating her birthday in a special way this year and we chose "Red Lantern" for a special dinner date but the experience was very disappointing. The food was nothing special if I compare other restaurants which offer Asian cuisine and it certainly did not justify the price at which it was offered. The service was awful, we had to wait for almost 15-20 mins just to get a to-go box and the check. I also ordered for a birthday cake while making the reservation and confirmed if it will be provided or not by calling the open table number but nothing was presented at the table. I wonder why the requests are taken online when the same service is not offered. This is probably my first and last visit here and I would definitely not recommend any of my friends to dine here.
Have been here multiple times before and enjoyed it regularly. Tonight though the b squad may have been in the kitchen. It Was Monday. Mai tai and sushi was good. Lettuce wraps were not the normal kind and chicken was burnt. Hot and sour soup was Heavy with oil on the top and the chips that came in it were soggy on table delivery. The chicken fried rice we got was burned on the bottom and upon delivery the server noticed it and even mentioned that it looked A bit overcooked but did nothing about it. I don't think we will go back with all the dining choices at foxwoods.
Terrible service unfortunately, bad seating arrangements, not a restaraunt more of a bar/club. Would not reccomend if you are going to sit and eat! BAD SERVICE, I mean usually i dont do this but this hit a personal no no for me. I have been brought up in restaraunts since my youth(family owned restaraunts), and have worked restaraunts most of my teens and 20s. This restaurant committed EVERY restaraunt NONO. Just bad experience and would not go back unfortunately, just overall really bad customer service, its too bad because we were there celebrating a birthday and the night started off on a bad note due to the terrible service!! Management needs to be reassessed at this establishment .
This restaurant always has something new to offer. Though it may not be that the menu has changed, or just that we have out favorites but always atleast try one new. We have occasionally sat outside, but the dining room overlooking the club, offs the queitest option if dining before 9.
