Thought it would be a cool place for a night on the Common to see holiday lights and have good food with the family. Have an 11 year old and a 3 year old. They both enjoyed the atmosphere and the younger one was able to eat from the menu of noodles. Would definitely recommend to friends. Is a bit pricey but worth it. Definitely try the calamari and the wagyu fried rice, as they were great!

Went on the early side (6:30pm) so noise level was not too loud. Great friendly staff and waitress. Food was excellent, had sushi, appetizer and one of the noodle dishes. Good portion size for sharing. Wine choices were also nice.
My favorite part is the ambience & decor... Very Zen!
Fun for a date night or just sitting at he bar with friends.

This place is an amazing find. It is not your average Asian restaurant. The décor is fabulous industrial chic. The food is extremely good and inventive. Menu items that might sound traditional are done in new ways. Everything we had was delicious and interesting. I think we decided the crispy rice bites were the best (try them!) but there were many contenders. Drink menu is fun. Service was impeccable. The only drawback is the pounding technobeat drilling a hole in your head... I get it - the place is cool and current but there are so many other kinds of new/hip music that wouldn't give people a headache. Save the techno for dancing!! I would have reservations about recommending this amazing place because of the music.

Unique very upscale hip dining/drinking spot. Great food, fair prices, service was outstanding. A place not to be missed, a place you will want to go back to often. Very well dressed scene.

Beautiful ambiance, great vibe, creative and well executed menu, super service.. but the music was too loud, too repetitive techno, and took away from an otherwise perfect evening..Lots of other Buddha Bar or Chill music would work better both in bar and restaurant.. I'll definitely go back but hope they do something about the music.. Stay away from the window wall on cold nights..

The fact that our table was right next to Chris Humphries(Kim K's ex husband) just made the night a million times better. This was my second time at Red Lantern and just like the first, I had a great time with great food!

Had edamame, spring rolls and Singapore noodles (split with a friend). All really delicious. Love the atmosphere- rustic old Boston building meets southeast Asia- it works! Service great, wonderful wine list. Cocktails looked really good- may try next time.Dishes are big so great for sharing.

We dined at Red Lantern on Saturday evening. The good: the rock shrimp tempura is the most delicious shrimp tempura of all time. I will fantasize about it until I get to order it again. The crispy veggie spring rolls were also delicious. The not so good: the cocktails were very weak. This is the second time I have experienced weak cocktails at Red Lantern and shame on me for ordering one again, but shame on them for not making a decently strong drink, especially at the $14.00 per they are charging. Also, the service was good, but the kitchen must have been overwhelmed as it took forever for our entrees to come. This situation was clearly not the servers fault, they were working extremely hard all night. We might return.

We loved the decor at Red Lantern as much as the food. The Pu Pu Platter was the best I've had anywhere. Everyone in our party thought the sushi was excellent and the staff were very accommodating, excellent service too.

This was my first time eating at Red Lantern. I was surprised at the quality of the food. It was amazing. The service was wonderful as well. This was a Monday night and it was rather quiet which was also nice. Can't wait to go back.

The food was excellent but our waitress forgot our second appetizer order. She apologized. After we finished our entrees, we asked her for a recommendation for a dessert choice, as our party of three wanted to share something. Her recommendation was for us to share three different dishes, which was not what we had asked for. She seemed so rushed that there was no thought to our question. Once we got the bill, we noticed there were four charges for entrees, and we were only a party of 3 who ordered. Again she apologized. Her apologies could have been more enthusiastic and the dining manager should have also addressed the errors. Nevertheless, the atmosphere was nice and we enjoyed our meal.

Food was just "ok". Was not a good experience and would not go back. Waiter was rude and took his time coming back to our table. One of the girls I was with spoke with the manager and just told us to go to Ticos as they would take care of us? Not the dining experience I expected. Especially for my sister in laws bachelorette.

Club music in an Asian restaurant was unusual, but I really enjoyed it. The service was great and amazingly fast. We had a concert to attend and there was never a concern. Food was traditional, but the flavors were more enhanced than would be expected.

Great menu, a bit on the pricey side, as there are many other Asin themed restaurants in the area, but good food and service. The place is loud though, not helped by the piped in club music

Great decor, looks like it was built into an old warehouse. Lots of choices on the menu; a little Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Singaporean etc. needs some Thai and Vietnamese choices though. Overall, really enjoyed it.

The food was ok not the best sushi though. The lobster dumplings didn't have lobster at all it was only cheese cream. And I asked for the lobster rice with no pineapple but I still got it. The ambiance was really nice and the music was fun.

I enjoyed the ambiance but better for a night out with the girls than a bday dinner with husband and college age son! Music too loud and EDM for dinner hour. Food was good tho sauce on the salty side, would have preferred it to be served on the side for dipping. But enjoyed it and will go back with my girlfriends!

Our group had two appetizers and shared fried rice and a grilled meat dish ($70.00!) The appetizer of lobster rangoon was tasty but a little soggy. The chicken lettuce wraps were almost inedible--the chicken was in thick stew without much flavor and impossible to eat without a fork. Fried rice and grilled meat/veggie dish were both good and large enough to share. Service was good.

Sat in a different spot on this visit and it was so noisy we could not talk to each other at the table. The food was again excellent but service was only fair. Our server had 5 or 6 tables so she was not able to cycle back to the table very often and the buser/water person never came back after we initially sat down. Still worth the visit. The food was great.
