The Red Koi Lounge in Coral Gables serves up a mix of sushi and Thai favorites in a sophisticated yet laid back location. Guests can stay on the first floor to experience the family friendly dining area or go to the second level and discover the candlelit lounge. Both areas offer the full menu and bar service.
The Red Koi Lounge starters include tuna tartar, steamed duck bun, shrimp shumai and much more. Visitors can sample a variety of traditional sushi and sashimi dishes or try a specialty like the lobster delight, Carlito's way or wicked wahoo. The Red Koi Lounge entrée selections include favorites like chicken teriyaki and all season duck, along with many others.
every dish was a good one and had interesting tastes
Very good food. I love sushi ,sashimi ceviche in a rather pure form. Some of the items are too elaborate and complicated for my taste. However, the menu is very inventive and fun. The fish very fresh and tasty. My waiter was great, the service from the kitchen fast and efficient. Definitely recommend going there
I really liked this place. The food is great and excellent service. The lounge upstairs is great, they have a DJ and its not crowded just the right amount of people. Definitely an underrated neighborhood gem. I would definitely come back !!
No matter what you point to in the menu, it won't disappoint.
I was entertaining colleagues from France, and wanted to let them experience as many culinary styles as possible while here in Miami. Red Koi was a great choice for sushi. The Sumo Boat had a great selection of sushi and sashimi, and the specialty rolls were very creative. Our server, Mario, was on point and made great suggestions. We also had the Red Curry as an entree, and they offer duck as a protein choice, which was delicious. Will definitely return to try more of the appetizers!
The frist time I went , it was amazing had a great time. The second was kind off
This is our place of choice for just about any special occasion. We drive 45 miles to condensers and we are never dissapointee. Great food, spectacular service and reasonably price food.
Great ambience, fresh food. You will never be disappointed with this hidden gem.
The food was good. The locations is great. It is a little small but It was good overall. Good drinks.
Loved this restaurant. It's small but cozy. The food was excellent. The service was excellent. After dinner we went upstairs to the Lounge. I fell in love. Such a great vibe. Very Zen!! We will definitely be back.
Food is always good. Wontonamera dessert is always good.
Has been several years since my last visit however it was just as amazing as I remember. Everything was outstanding from the service to food to atmosphere. Definitely recommend it to anyone!
Great staff, wonderful Sushi
Great sushi rolls - definitely order the Crunchy and the Carlitos Way roll - the sampler platter is great too. And $15 of wine on Wednesdays are great.
I went to Red Koi on a Thursday night and it was nice and quiet. The server was very attentive and the sushi was extremely fresh. I will definitely go back when I am craving sushi.
Very good food and reasonable prices!!
Service was extremely slow; we had to request help from the manager to get service.
We were a party of four, and one of us got his lobster roll when all the others had finished their food... and the food was not what I expected based on the reviews that I read prior to making the reservation. Additionally, place was extremely noisy due to a party in the second floor.
It was not a good experience.
The only thing I didn't like is that the hostess put me down as a no show for my reservation.
My only concern is that the waitress should have a clean uniform
The chairs are uncomfortable but the food was good. Our server was attentive and polite. We will come again.
My wife and I went to the restaurant last night and it was great, the food was awesome and those are adjectives hard to top. I do however will have to say that our waiter Lee took the experience to perfection. Five-star place, five-star service by Lee.
Lobster roll delicious the fried rice was amazing as well!
The food was amazing! We had the sweet tuna and wicked wahoo (raw). Highly recommend them.
There were some unique sushi rolls on the menu and we tried a few. Pleasantly surprised with the combinations. A great little find! The upstairs is more of a lounge with low coffee tables and seating, while the downstairs is more of a dining room setting. We'll definitely be back!
Great Asiatic combination Menu, wonderful Thai food options, with the compliment of an excellent Sushi and Rolls options. Great Wines and nice sweets menu.
Dishes were pretty Good, service wasn't too great,Tables are small and plates are bulky, it was really annoying dealing with this, felt like I was playing Tetris.
I have gone to Red Koi many times and everything is always great. This time around, I took a friend and she loved it. We will be back.
The food was really good. The sashimi was very fresh. Our server Mario was fantastic. He was very attentive and polite. He made great recommendations for the sushi rolls (the Monkey roll was very yummy). I would certainly return.
Good food with excellent service. Always consistent quality.
A nice and relaxing place to have lunch while enjoying the view of Miracle Mile in the early Sunday afternoon from the restaurant's sidewalk tables. The Santini sushi is delicious - we highly recommend it. The shrimp Pad Thai is a must order - having a very tasting and different kick to it than others we have had. Service was well-timed and friendly.
The service was bad, the girl barely spoke English nor understood what were saying. She brought us the wrong drink twice, and it took a while each time to get someone's attention every time. Very chaotic. The food was pretty Ok for lunch.
Despite fine professional service and acceptable dishes - some with too many pre cut elements -
Red Koi does not live up to its press. The ugly sound and ueber decibel level makes appreciation of the food difficult.
I think we had the best service attendant on the plannet. Outstanding!
Overall the restaurant was excellent! The food is absolutely amazing. The seafood is fresh and you can tell! The food is warm and incredibly satisfying, but not overwhelming. The environment is nice and quiet. The servers are very polite and make you feel welcome and comfortable. Service is timely, and not irritating. Workers all seemed happy to be there!
Just phenomenal fresh sushi and creative rolls. Pad Thai is also a favorite...
My wife and I visited and we just loved the food. Food was served fast, our server was great. Pad thai is awesome.
I visited this place earlier this year but did not dine. Finally, I was able to make time to dine there... and it was good. None of the food we had was spectacular but it was satisfactory. Our soup was warm, not hot. The sake was not what I expected especially since we tried one of their special flavored sakes. I am sure the original sake is better. Service was okay, I understand they were under staffed but its not like the place was packed. Either way, good enough to end up there one night but not a place I would 'plan' on visiting any time soon.
We arrived and the table we were given was extra small for two people, not enough space to serve plates, we managed to eat but truly the place was over crowded with tables and not enough space. We ask for another table and our request was denied they say the place was already reserved.
Our food was delicious, but the service this time around was not great. We had to ask for things numerous times before finally getting it. I have never had a bad experience with service except for this weekend so I'm hoping it was just a one time thing. I would definitely go back again because as I said before...the food is amazing!!!
My wife and I had a very enjoyable dinner during the week. Without knowing it, beer, wine and appetizers were 1/2 price... nive surprise. The Service was excellent. The server was very informative, especially when we told him that my wife was a vegan. The Food arrived hot and tasty. We will return for more meals.
Amazing little restaurant on miracle mile not many around like that
