Drove 8 hours and from another state for this to be our first destination on my husband's birthday. We had an unexpected tire blow on the highway making us 10 minutes late. Complete accident and completely understand that our table had to be given up due to us being more than 5 minutes late. However the way I was talked to over the phone by the hostess was very rude, unacceptable, unnecessary and most of all UNPROFESSIONAL. By the way I was so rudely disrespectfully talked to we would have completely not gone but I would have been charged $25 for the reservation so we decided to still go and try this place out. Then I was reassured the day before that my husband's birthday would be recognized and was a surprise. Not the case at all, the server didn't acknowledge the special occasion at all. I didn't expect much just a birthday recognition, correct order and friendly staff. However I didn't expect to be treated with such disrespect from the hostess. Our waiter also got our order wrong and even missed items we ordered never receiving them. By the time we finally got some of our food we didn't have time to correct the situation and just wanted to leave. My husband and I both agreed we will never go back or recommend this place to anyone. Nothing that great about it, looks neat inside. We ate at better places in the same area for the same prices and neat decor.

Disappointing! I had researched gluten free restaurants before my trip and read it was amazing for gluten free food! When we arrived the menu was very confusing mixing entrees with desserts and antipasto. There were only 2 things gluten free I could order. They did not carry half the things I read about in prior reviews. When I asked about exchanging sauces on a pasta, we were told no. When we asked for a side of something, and would pay extra for it, we were told no, that they wouldn't have enough for later?? Really? We're a paying customer. It only got worse from here. We asked for a pasta dish with sauce on the side, we were told no. At this point the chef came out and asked what our problem was? I was floored! She explained she wouldn't serve something that way, ummm hello, we were ordering it! We had people in our party with allergies and were told they'd accommodate, they lied. She was rude and refused to make any accommodations. If our other orders in our party weren't already placed and coming out, we would have left. And of course gratuity was added in already in our check. ( not that it was the server's fault) I do have to note our server wasn't rude, just trying to make us happy but obviously was being yelled at by the chef simultaneously. The only saving grace was the food, itself, was very good. Not what we exactly wanted to order, but it was good and I wasn't glutened! The portions were very small for the price. Not worth it!
A great new find for us that will be a must stop in the future for brunch. Reservations a must for brunch. The menu is nearly overwhelming, with all six of us having difficulty in making a selection. Our waiter, Patrick, was excellent, attentive, and quick to make suggestions. There were no misses on any of our choices. Don't miss it!
Open for breakfast and lunch. Homemade pasta and meatballs are the real deal. Everything we had we loved. Highly recommended

the food was fantastic! I highly recommend the polpetta omelette or really anything with red gravy! Eggs Florentine was also excellent. I can't wait to come back for lunch.

This restaurant was quaint, kitschy, and fabulous from the moment we walked in. You can feel the personal touch the chef/owner has on every detail and really feel her passion for food and service. Great Italian comfort food pthat makes a Texan turned Jerseyian feel right at home.

We came to NOLA to celebrate my daughter’s 18th birthday and Red Gravy was the one restaurant she requested. It’s one of the only restaurants we visit every time we come. Just fantastic! You have to get the meatball with red gravy!
This is my ABSOLUTE favorite Nawlins restaurant! We go EVERY time we come to NOLA.
Food: skillet cake and waffle, both orders incorrect. Waffle and fruit came out as pecan waffle, skillet cake was ordered without peanut butter but came with. Taste and quality for $18 “pancake” not on par with other breakfast options in area. Maybe would give 2nd visit if in area again, but not up to expectations.
Red Gravy is a gem! It’s a cant miss in New Orleans. Creative menu and the food is out of this world. Highly recommend.

Wow a blast from my old home of North Jersey. Trying to decide if I wanted to go with the spaghetti and meat ball or the jersey favorite pork roll. Went for the seaside stack which was incredible, french toast, pork roll, provolone and a pair of eggs. Great tasting and truly filling. I was quite content until the guy at the next table had his food delivered, spaghetti and meatball. It looked so good I was instantly jealous! We will be back soon, guess what I will order this time?
I had a party of 6 and we enjoyed every meal we ordered. The waiter was outstanding and he suggested many options. Although I have to say there was the hostess who was not friendly at all.
Disappointing! Expensive and food was very average. We have been 3 times before and each time is less impressive. This place is slipping, I hope the bad review will help get them back on track. We will not be going back.
The menu is creative and the food is delicious (the red gravy and the meatballs are truly awesome). Small, cozy, friendly, wonderful service. The owner/chef is warm, personable and always makes you feel welcome and appreciated. My wife and I have been here many times over the years, and we consider Red Gravy one of our favorites for Italian style cooking in a city known for great restaurants.
Amazing food, as always. The waitress got a little mouthy, but one of our friends was irritated by the no split checks policy since the menu stated they would... so it was a fair fight on both ends and they made up by the end of the meal. Will never go to New Orleans without going to red gravy for brunch. Never disappoints.

Every time we visit NOLA, Red Gravy is a must. Each time we have brought different friends with us for Sunday brunch and they love it as much as we do. Can't wait until we can visit again!
The bread is always so fresh and the drinks are the best! The Cinnamon Toast Crunch Martini was no longer on the menu, but the "intoxicologist" made it for us. 5 Stars from us!

Red Gravy was the best brunch I've ever had. The food is inventive and delicious. The meatball omelette was easily the best omelette I've ever eaten. I'm often disappointed with brunches due to the idea of paying $10-$15 for a mediocre egg dish that I could make at home. Red Gravy takes brunch to an entirely different level, and it is well worth the trip. I cannot recommend it enough!
