Red Ginger of Traverse City Ratings and Reviews
This place never disappoints!!! Fantastic food every time. Calamari was excellent. Special edamame dumpling app was sooo good. Sea bass brought rave reviews. Kung pao chicken was great. My nine year old cooked her own filet on a hot stone. So tender and delicious. The only dish not loved was the beef w basil and pillow of noodles. Good but not up to par w their other dishes. Want to come here every visit to TC!
This could have been a great experience, however we were rushed. We made a reservation and arrived on time. We ordered drinks and salads to start. Our entrees came while we were eating our salad. We had planned to order a bottle of wine with dinner, but went elsewhere as it appeared that they were trying to turnover our table. My husband mentioned to the server in advance that we were not in a rush, however, we were in an out of this restaurant in under one hour. The food and drinks were good and prices were reasonable. If you are looking for a quick meal, this is a good spot. Not so much for a date night.
As always, Red Ginger offers some of the best food in town. We are never disappointed. The staff is extremely attentive and polite. Whether you want sushi, small plates or an entree there are a variety of options. A great place for dining, cocktailing, people watching, socializing and special occasions.
Fantastic fusion meal! My husband and I ordered 5 small plate courses and were impressed with every one...great flavor and more than enough to share. We had the Dragon Wings, Potstickers, Spring Rolls, Ribs and Black Rice topped off with Donuts and Coffee for dessert. So yummy! Terry was our server and she was wonderful, walked us through each course and was very personable. This was a great night out!
My wife and I have dined here for years...consistently excellent service and cuisine! Matt and Tyler in the bar are very personable and among the best bartenders in TC. Ernest greets everyone with kindness and profesionalism! Great chefs/team!
Love this place!
I've been told by multiple people to try out Red Ginger and they weren't mistaken. We sat at the bar and our bartender was awesome. He was on it from the moment we sat down.
My friend had the Lobster Fried Rice and I had the rainbow roll. Both were delish! The menu had a wide variety to choose from which makes it easier when some people still don't do sushi.
I'll be going back for certain!
I've been to Red Ginger on and off over the years. This was amazing! Best experience I've had there. Red Ginger has stepped it up! If you can get a seat on the new and improved patio, it's much quieter and very nice (any season). The calamari and Forbidden Rice were both incredible and I would go just for those appetizers. The Forbidden Rice is the ultimate in comfort and deliciousness. All of the entrees were delicious (sea bass is incredible!) and the coffee after dinner was great. We stayed for over 2 hours and the food was spread out perfectly and everything was delicious! Always love the mango rice pudding for dessert - the rum sauce on it is to die for!
Red Ginger is definitely going back on out date night list! Worth every penny!
We walked in and the hostess was very attentive. They right away asked who's birthday it was and then asked if they could take our coats for coat check for free. (Unless it's a free service lol) our server was great! He had suggested a twist on the mascow mule that they were offering and so my husband and I tried it. It was good and definitely was a twist on the original. The crab dip was delish and the rolls we ordered we're amazing! The stuff all pulls together on your birthday and they sign a card just for you which I think really puts an establishment a bit above the rest. We had a great experience and can't wait to go back again!
I have dined here many times, and it truly is such a gem of a restaurant. The service is the best you will find anywhere. The staff is well trained, efficient, and clearly works so well together. The food is Always perfect, beautifully plated, creative and delicious. It’s hard to go wrong here. It is the best restaurant up north, and one of the best In the state. It’s a cant miss every time I go to traverse area. Great job, Red Ginger!
