Every meal we have had at Redfish Grill has been outstanding. Last night we brought two business associates to experience the food and the amazing service from our server Ike. He brings the menu to life and his attention to his customers is amazing. This is why every time we are in New Orleans we have at least one meal at Redfish Grill.
Red Fish is always a New Orleans stop when visiting the city for great seafood!
As a local, I normally wouldn't think to go to Red Fish Grill since it is on Bourbon Street. However, my sister was coming for a visit and wanted to eat there for her birthday based on reviews she'd read online. When I made the reservation, I noted that it was for a birthday celebration and asked that the staff spoil my sister. Brian, our server, and the other staff certainly delivered! The royal treatment my sister received was phenomenal.
On top of that, the food was outstanding. The special soup of the day, a lobster butternut squash soup, was the flavor highlight for me. Their signature red fish entree with crabmeat and the chocolate bread pudding were also delicious.
We spent Thanksgiving lunch at Red Fish Grill. Reservation is a must because it gets booked up very quickly. People who were coming in without reservations were told that the next availability was at 9 pm. When we checked in, we waited for about 15 minutes before we were seated.
The manager came by to apologize for the wait and offered us shots of liqueur. I was surprised because 15 minutes with reservations was nothing. I really appreciated the courtesy.
The buffet was delicious and worth the value and the staff were on point and so friendly. A couple days later we came back for lunch again and their excellent service was consistent. It was a Sunday and it wasn't crowded but we were treated with attentiveness. I recommend this place.
Everything about our visit there was great. I would highly recommend that you go there when you are in New Orleans.
Limited menu but great food.
The food was just meh. Service was OK but restaurant was very loud. We used to really like this place but it’s gone down hill.
Awesome as usual.
7:39 pm seating and found the shrimp swimming in melted ice water from the ice carving. Much of the food was lukewarm at best. Overall disappointing. Service and coffee was good.
We enjoyed the Thanksgiving buffet, wonderful treat for our family.
We went for Thanksgiving Dinner. I was expecting a more traditional thanksgiving meal. For a price $60 I thought their would be more fish selections. The combinations of catfish and cauliflower was strange. I thought they would offer traditional Thanksgiving menu or creole menu. The servers were also giving kids size portions. The dessert were not good at all. I can’t say how the main menu items and service would be on a regular day, but I don’t recommend the buffet. You would have a better meal selecting your own choices for this price.
My first time here and it was disappointing. We came for the Thanksgiving buffet and it was not worth the $59.95 plus drinks.
The menu appeared to look good but it wasn’t that great.
Amazing food offered on the holiday buffet, oysters and spicy ahi tuna were incredible and some of the best I’ve ever had. Service was good.
This was our third year for Thanksgiving. Never fails to please!
It was our second time visiting New Orleans and having Thanksgiving dinner at a Red Fish Grill. We only had to wait a few minutes to be seated after letting them know we had arrived. The service was great and the food is delicious. We hope to visit again next year.
couldn't have picked a better place to spend our favorite holiday my 6 year daughter enjoyed the "adult" buffet more than the child's. that will always be a memory for us both
Went for the Thanksgiving buffet and it was delicious! Would go back next year.
This was a first for us--eating out for Thanksgiving. We were very grateful to find so many restaurants open. The Thanksgiving buffet was stocked with traditional favorites and plenty of other options. The food was very good. There was more than enough food options from soup to dessert. It was very crowded and reservations were delayed by around 20 minutes. The wait staff was attentive, but very busy and seemed a little frazzled. Overall, we had a really pleasant experience and would definitely recommend Red Fish Grill as a holiday option.
Ask to sit in Tim's section.
Thanksgiving Buffet was delicious!!! Quality of meats was superb.
Great buffet for thanksgiving. We enjoyed it! I would recommend this for any occasion. Loved the artsy vibe.
Michael and Philip waited on us and did a great job! Thanks
Best Thanksgiving buffet ever! Outstanding service and food.
Yes ,and I did to my neighbors. I'll will do it again next year.
The prime rib I did enjoy, and the gumbo were very goo. Everything laid out was appealing and presentable.
restrooms were clean also.
Thurly enjoyed the offerings.
Great food but noisy room
Good food and good service!
Highly recommended is their alligator boudin balls, chargrilled garlic bread and peacemaker (which consists of charbroiled oyster/shrimp).
The specialty dessert, Double Chocolate Bread Pudding, is a must if you have sweet tooth.
Great meal, fabulous food, good atmosphere
One of our entrees was cold, one was mushy. Appetizer was good. Overall, just meh. Server started our nice but quickly got snarky and rude. Not sure why considering we didn’t complain about the mediocre food.
Our server, Philip, was amazing. He was very attentive and we got our food and drinks in a timely fashion. Our split checks were correct and we enjoyed our time. The manager even came by just to check on us. Great food and great service!
I had a wonderful gluten free meal! The jambalaya was fantastic and the salad i had was also outstanding! The waiter was very familiar with gluten free needs and i felt safe!
This restaurant never disappoints. We had the trout and grouper and both were great! Make reservations because it fills up fast.
Seated as soon as we walked in, great service amazing food!!
Great! No complaints
our waiter was very unfriendly. seemed annoyed about everything we asked.
Food was good and loved the more casual fine dining atmosphere. Prices were a bit high for lunch, especially the sides.
Awesome bbq oysters and I had a fabulous grilled redfish too.
Excellent fish dishes, informative staff ( Laura) who also made suggestions and explained all dishes. Lovely atmosphere, busy but not crowded. Plenty of room. Delicious chocolate bread and butter pudding.
Amazing food and service!!!!!!!!!
Service was prompt. Servers did an awesome job making sure our special meal preparation was followed. Food was prepared as request. Very delicious. Oysters on the 1/2 shell were fresh. We will be back!
Food was great. Waiter was marginal.
