Not at all what I expected! We were given coupons from the American Queen to choose from four places. From what we were told this was one of the fancier ones, it had a dress code and you need to make reservations. We were very disappointed to find that when we showed up it was crowded it was so loud you couldn’t hear yourself think and there were people there in very very casual clothing blue jeans etc. We had to ask the waitress for napkins. cutlery, water.... I have a shellfish allergery, and the menu is VERY limited in that area. For the food, portions were OK but my steak was way overcooked and then we find out that the 20 percent gratuity and tax comes off the amount that we were given so technically you only get about $35 to use out of your $49. Coupon! No one would have us, made us feel like an inconvenience!!! Wouldn’t recommend it to anyone!

Overall, the food was well prepared and had nicely developed flavors. Grilled fish is a nice choice and the sauces were great. Only critique was the over use of cracked pepper distracting from the taste of the food and the subtle flavors of seafood.

Excellent main courses and appetizers. Service was outstanding. Overall the staff was very accommodating and the food was superb. Next time I'll have to leave room for dessert. The chocolate bread pudding looked great, but I just couldn't do it.

I had the grilled shrimp and avocado po boy; my husband the alligator gumbo and fish tacos. The best of the three was the gumbo, which was very good. The other two were good, but not worth raving about - or going back for. Of all the meals we had over the weekend, it was at the bottom of the list. There are just so many great places to eat.

The service was good and cheerful. The location is hard to beat. The noise level was quiet, but we were there off-peak on a weekday, so there weren't many people there. If it was crowded then I can imagine it's much noisier.

Both myself and my wife thought our entrees were ok. The tomato soup with crab & the oysters on the half shelf were great.

My wife and I enjoyed a perfect evening and ejoyed a delicious meal at Red Fish Grill. The server was very friendly and helpful with ordering some excellent local beers. The food was delicious and creative. Everything we ordered was fresh and full of taste. The menu is full of local favorites and the presentation is perfect for a date. We really enjoyed the entire dining experience and it was easy to walk to from our Hotel five blocks away. We are definitely coming back next time we are in New Orleans.

Food was outstanding! Our server, Jasmine, took great care of our group. We were grandparents with our three grandchildren (ages 9, 11 & 14) who chose to revisit Red Fish because they love the choices you get at Red Fish.

Fried oysters with blue cheese is the best, nothing else like it in the quarter! It’s the location we tell anyone visiting New Orleans is a must to visit!

I wouldn't recommend you go to this place, the food is really BAD. The hats they sell are the best thing about the place. Don't waste your time and money stay away from New Orleans, LA.

We stopped in for an early dinner. The service was excellent as was the entrees and appetizers. There was a misunderstanding when we used a coupon for a bottle of wine, but nothing to detract from our experience. Would visit again.

It’s a great place to have surgery because the lights are turned up so high, you can see through each other.

A manager did come by and asked how are you we are doing and we did mention it and he did go over there but just turned it down just a tad, But I would not recommend it for a date night it’s too loud and too bright but the food and service was good.

One on the best meals I had while in NOLA and the worst timed meal I ever had in my life. Party of two - I ordered a cocktail, my dining partner had a question if they carried a particular liquor. My cocktail arrived with the answer. Next came out appetizers. The other cocktail arrived followed closely by our entrees - apps plates not cleared and not even half way through with our cocktails. My entree was cold, they promptly replaced it with a piping hot one. They had a lovely wine selection, many served by the glass so we wanted to try some. Unfortunately the wine did not arrive until we were almost done with our delicious entrees. Shame the meal and that wine were delicious - just not enjoyed together. I ordered their signature Red Fish Grilled plate - really one of the best seafood dishes I had my entire trip. I would try them again and space out the ordering of food, because the staff can't time things well, I do it for them.

My girlfriend and I had our thanks giving dinner here. There’s only a buffet open and the kitchen is closed so we didn’t have the chance to try the regular menu. It was too busy so the waiters were not very responsive but thanks for their service at Thanks giving. The sea food was fresh. The turkey was a plus. I would love to try their regular menu next time.

They served an extensive buffet for Thanksgiving. The food was very good. It was very crowded, however, so it didn’t really feel like a Thanksgiving meal.

The restaurant had a buffet for Thanksgiving that sounded phenomenal, but wasn't. The food was cold and they ran out of specialty items like the redfish and the drum (a local fish). The "cajun" turkey was just regular old turkey. The side dishes were tasteless and congealed because they were cold. It cost $59 per person and was not worth it. On the plus side, the staff was friendly and remarkably efficient given the crowds they were turning over while we there.
