I haven't been to this restaurant in years and years and it was every bit as delicious as I remembered! I enjoyed every bite!
One of the best restaurants I have ever been to in such a long time. Superb food, ambiance, service, and value. Courteous staff and and tasty selections. The bbq flash fried oysters were outstanding. I normally don't like cooked oysters, but I would order these again in a heartbeat.
My son and I are in New Orleans on a business trip. I liked the online menu and made a lunch reservation. Food and service was beyond expectations. Would definitely go back
Faire donc attention!!!
We enjoyed the food, but in the future better with 4 or more people. With only 2 of us we felt rushed
Our server Dawn was amazing and made our experience a wonderful evening!!!
We had a good meal. This is not fine dining. Food was acceptable and ambiance was ok for type of place. I thought bbq oysters were overrated. With all the choices in Nola I would go somewhere else before I would revisit. Nothing wrong with restaurant, just nothing special either.
Food was great, but the best part of dinner was the server, Chris. He was phenomenal.
Great food. Fabulous service.
Main room very loud, side rooms isolating.
When you visit Red Fish Grill you want Ike to be your waiter! I have dined countless time in NOLA and have never experienced the perfection of waiter table interaction until now. In the future when I visit Red Fish Grill I will wait until a table is available in Ike's area. The food was fantastic, it always is. Ike was the one that made this visit for my out-of-town family a truly perfect NOLA dining experience!
We have eaten at Red Fish Grill many times, but on Saturday I found the menu lacking and the dinner I was served was the special (Red Fish with crabmeat) and I found it mediocre. The oyster appetizer had oyster shells in the batter. I had family from out of town and I was very disappointed for their sake as well.
I was not impressed at all. The oysters on the half shell had some kind of terrible cocktail sauce and they put a imitation horse radish on the top. It was just half done! They also screwed up our entrees and the service was sad 😞. There’s too many good restaurants in the French Quarter to eat here. I can’t believe its Brennan owned!!!!
Food was delicious but after we finished our meal, before I had even finished my glass of wine, they asked us to leave so that others could have our table. We were not being inappropriate in terms of staying at the table and there were many empty tables around us. They said it was for a large group coming in but they could have offered us one of the other empty tables to finish our meal instead of kicking us out. We are 3 professional women, all doctors, who eat out a lot and this had never happened to any of us before. Would they have asked us to leave if we were 3 men?
The food was fabulous and our waiter was so pleasant and very friendly. I believe his name was Frank. Such a joy!
I ate at Red Fish Grill 9 years ago when I visited New Orleans. This visit, I had planned to only eat at different restaurants but decided to go back to Red Fish. I was not disappointed. Dawn, my waitress, was quite helpful. I had the redfish, my third time in the week to have it. This restaurant's preparation of the fish was by far the best of the three. I hope to get back to New Orleans before 9 years passes again. I will be sure to visit the Red Fish Grill early on in my visit. I also recommend the strawberry sorbet.
Had a great meal that was made even better by the outstanding service of Ike. He’s a true professional!
Jasmine (server) was amazing, the chef’s special was divine, really all the food was! You haven’t lived until you’ve had the BBQ oysters....
good but not great. Expected more from this restaurant as this was closer to the average pack in NOLA.
It had a couple of good menu items, but it also had some that didn't make sense. We made reservations based on the rating of this restaurant. We were disappointed. There were maybe 2 other tables occupied in the place. Should have told us something. Asked for items we didn't receive. Would have said more, but we had a flight to catch. Sad we chose this place for our last meal.
I appreciate that we had attentive servers but we had 3 that were checking on us so we were repeatedly being interrupted.
Appetizer was misrepresented. It was fried and the shrimp were very tiny. Sent back uneaten. Requested they not bill us and they did not. Cocktail was in a very small glass for the price. Could have drunk it in one sip. The two appetizers were lukewarm and asked to be sent back. All in all not a memorable night. Bourbon St restaurants are not up to par anymore. The tourists have eliminated the quality that used to be.
The food quality was very good especially in light of the size of the restaurant. Food was hot and dishes were delivered promptly. Everything we tried (bbq and raw oysters, bbq chicken creator rice corn bread, potatoe salad, shrimp and grits side of spinach) was very good.
Our waiter Isaac was a breath of fresh air. He had a very classic southern charm to his table side manner. Made my wife quite happy.
The ambiance leaves much to be desired. The way we see it the district is quaint and charming. The restaurant is the opposite; as my wife puts it its like a factory. I recall asking the person back in NY who recommended this place if there were more than 20 tables; his expression caused me to cringe (internally of course), there may be 100!
Noise level is low.
Overall a very good experience.
Food was wonderful as always. Service was exceptional. Great drinks from the bar. Dessert was a great finish to the meal. We will be back again.
Always a staple for us. Brennen operated. Must order the bread pudding in advance. Do not miss it.
We selected items from the Coolinary menu -- alligator sausage gumbo and blackened catfish were delicious.
Great food and we were seated immediately with our reservation. The peach salad was excellent.
This past trip to NOLA, we visited Red Fish twice; once for dinner and then for lunch before heading to the airport for home.
Phenomenal in every way!!!
Good eats in Bourbon street!
Excellent red fish
Our server Frank is fanstastic!
The food was amazing! Our server Andrew was knowledgeable, courteous, helpful, and hilarious. He not only gave us great dining recommendations, but also great places to visit throughout town.
We had another outstanding dining experience at Red Fish Grill in New Orleans. Highly recommend! The food, service and experience is always amazing. The waiter Ike and exceptional staff made our time their very memorable. Thank you
Food was fantastic (blackened catfish is a must-try!) but the tables are very crammed and it's very loud.
The overall atmosphere was very very pleasant and all of the employees were very knowledgeable and kind. The pricing was very good. I enjoyed every single bite of the food and every sip of the wine. I will go there again in a heartbeat.
I live between Chesapeake Bay and Atlantic Ocean in Maryland and I’m super picky about seafood. I never miss an opportunity to eat at Redfish. Their food is amazing, especially oysters and swordfish!
Food was great and our waiter Frank was outstanding.
The food was amazing. Love, loved the shrimp and grits. Please keep doing the coolinary menus in August, it was a wonderful opportunity to visit,
Food was very disappointing
Gumbo good everything else was not great.
Fabulous, as always
BBQ Oysters were amazing! Also the alligator boudin balls! Our waitress, June, was excellent!
