The evening was great! I had the halibut which was amazing! Fresh and piping hot. Service, ambience and food outstanding. Love this place.
Once again took advantage of the early bird special which is a great value. Glass of wine, appetizer or salad, and entree for under $20. My wife had sirloin and I the crab cake. Both were delicious.
My wife and I tried an early bird special there, and came back again for a later meal. Both times were great. We are looking forward to our next visit. Keep up the good work. Pat and Artie
We had a wonderful dinner. Wish I could remember our servers name, it he was excellent, attentive without rushing us. We had the early bird that was price right and food was delicious. Very pretty ambience and had a great outdoor patio we hope to visit one day soon. Lastly, full bar but also amazing wine list and wines for sale. We will be back a highly recommend this gem in Bluffton.
Great food, terrific ambiance and friendly, helpful staff. We will be back.
Served burnt asparagus and never received replacement vegetables. Shameful for chef to serve such a distasteful serving of black, burnt asparagus! Wautress did not follow up, never aware that we never received replacement until we told her. Chef offered dessert instead. Should have offered discount on food that we wanted to eat, as evidenced by placing our dinner order. Service and food preparation have seriously declined over past 6-8 months. Time to eat at other Bluffton restaurants! Also where was management!
We had a wonderful server
Most of the food was good ... above average ... the pork chop was excellent!
Ordered from the Early Dining Menu. We always enjoy the wine that's included with Early Dining. The V8 salad was fresh and flavorful. My Black Bean soup was a great appetizer. My wife ordered the Crab Cake which was packed with crab meat and cooked to perfection. I ordered the grilled salmon cooked to medium doneness. The juliened vegetables and the rice were excellent accompaniments.
We went with 9 people. The wait staff was very good and the food was excellent!!
This was our second time there and again we had a great waiter - My only complaint was the young boy who kept on asking to take our plates away while we were still eating - it was not crowded so I don't know what the rush was to clear away stuff from our table.
We were seated in the small private room which had a large round table. It was perfect for our group of eight. It separated us a bit from the the crowd so that we were able to have our conversations without disturbing other diners; and the best part was that we could actually hear each other. The service was exceptional. We took advantage of the Early Dining Menu, which was an outstanding value. I was much more impressed than the last time I dined at Red Fish. We will definitely be returning soon.
Enjoyed the music. The piano helped muffle the loud conversation levels in the restaurant.
We seated at a table in the bar area and service from bartender was terrible. Keep making excuses for forgetting the appetizers or why the beer was warm.
Food was good but service poor.
We were celebrating two 20th anniversaries, the server did not acknowledge or congratulate? There were five of us, wine was a little slow coming out, and we had to ask twice for our second round! We were well into our meals when the second round arrived.
Server was nice, but not smiling or enthusiastic!
Good food, nice ambiance, wonderful service. Our go to place for dinner with visiting friends.
Our waiter was the best - we asked for a second glass of wine when dinner came and didn't have to remind him - very pleasant. We also did not feel rushed like some places.
Didn't like my dishes so was comped the lobster mac n cheese, shrimp and grits different, meh, server was pleasant but had too many tables to be more attentive, manager walked by tables but never saw her actually stop and talk to patrons. Wife's ribs were tender and tasty.
We'll give another try sometime.
Very nice. I would definitely go again.
I ordered a bourbon manhattan on the rocks. The was so much ice (overflowing) in the glass I has to use my fork to remove it.
Drink turned out weak in flavor.
The entree was small in size ( we have been to Redfish quite a
few times for Early Dining but they have definitely cut back on portion size. The side of potatoes was almost non existent.
It drew more comments than the small steak.
They used to include s glass of wine with Early Dining but this has
been discontinued. I am not a wine drinker but it was a nice touch.
The salad was very good the evening was disappointing.
Great food - recommendations by wait staff were outstanding. Good wine selection very reasonably priced. Generous portions. Service was a little slow at start otherwise perfect
The food and service were both excellent from the drinks to dessert we loved it. We will definitely return when my father-in-law offers to keep the kids again.
Great food! A bit noisy because it was Easter and the place was filled! We should have opted for the patio dining. Our mistake. Will definitely return!
Had Easter dinner. Some of us ordered off the special Easter menu which included appetizer, entree and dessert. The portions were generous and the food was great. The only disappointment was the salted caramel chocolate cake. The caramel had hardened, very sticky and difficult to eat. We ended up taking it off the cake and leaving on the side. Another in our party found the mahi mahi just a bit salty. Still we enjoyed the dishes and would go back again.
We recently ate at Red Fish Bluffton for a birthday celebration. The ambiance was wonderful for a late evening gathering. The wine list had many options. The entree and desserts we ordered were all delicious. I would recommend this restaurant!
Did not have a choice of seating
A favorite restaurant of ours, we were very disappointed in the service tonight. The server was inattentive and slow to respond, for example drinks were never refreshed (my husband requested a refill of his water twice), the meal took over 30 minutes to come out, we tried to catch the attention of 2 servers and the hostess to see a dessert list-she finally brought one menu for the whole table. Not the quality experience we have come to expect from Red Fish. The restaurant was not crowded, there were plenty of open tables-very disappointing.
We eat here often, but this time I was disappointed in my meal. The swordfish was overcooked and very dry. The kale was tough and chewy. The only good thing on my plate was the potatoes.
I took my wife there for her BIRTHDAY told our waitress this was mywibes birthday and wanted to share a desert We l we were charged full price with no candle
And also we had to ask our server for bread all in all a dissatpointing evening
Always consistent, never disappoints. Great pork chop.
We decided to eat at Bar after talking w Mike the bartender
A fun night-Food and libations!
I have rated Redfish 5 stars in the past. We love this restaurant!! But on our last visit one of the entrees was not up to par.
I ordered the Cast Iron Seared Filet Mignon. It arrived undercooked - not a big deal. The waitress immediately returned it & the second try was better. However, I found the filet to be tough and not what I would expect for a $36 Filet Mignon option. The Red Pepper goat cheese potato puree was fabulous as were the haricot vert.
My husband ordered the Create Your Own Plate Flat Iron Steak and his steak was more tender than mine. For the price (and taste) the Flat Iron Steak was the better option.
The service at this restaurant is always terrific.
We were there on a Monday night and enjoyed a bottle of wine at 1/2 price as part of their Uncorked Monday's special - a really nice treat.
Overall a great restaurant.
Both the Bluffton and Hilton Head Island locations are nice and offer outdoor seating. I meet friends for lunch on HHI and do dinner (closer to my residence) in Bluffton. Always a nice glass or bottle of wine to order. Regrettably their wine tastings (which are fun) are held in the HHI location. There is a gluten free menu which includes GF bread for their sandwiches. The other night we met 2 couples for dinner and got a quiet table, so we could chat. Everyone had fish (soft shell crabs, crab cakes and Mahi) and was very good! My husband and I have done Easter Brunch at Red Fish for the last 2 years. Never disappointed with the food or service. It’s a nice “go to” restaurant.
Okay But.... It's a little pricey unless you go for the early dining and it's a very good value
Food is always good, service was exceptional and atmosphere is perfect. This is one of our favorite restaurants.
The food was wonderful, especially the Shrimp & Grits. The service, however, was lacking. We only saw our server twice, to order & pay the check. We asked the other servers for a water refill, but no one ever returned. Next time we will choose a weeknight instead of Saturday night.
Food was good with interesting menu. The tables were too small and cramped. Seating uncomfortable. We ordered appetizer andcwith plates and candle centerpieces- there was no room for appetizer- waiter just asked where he should put it when arrived and noted the tables were really too small as well. Uncomfortable seating/table Kept this from being really great experience. I’d probably not return.
It was our first time and we both enjoyed our meals. The sautéed corn as a side is wonderful! I had scallops and they were nicely prepared.
