In the Charleston, SC area, there's no excuse to eat at a chain/franchise restaurant. Dining at Red Drum demonstrates the reason perfectly. Everything about the place is unique and memorable. Their fresh catch is purchased just a few miles down the road directly off the fishing boats at Shem Creek, their Scallop Ceviche is delicious, and the salads are unique and light. Oh, and if you want to find a place with bread just like your mom or grandmother used to make? This is the place.

A positive experience except for extremely slow service. There is no excuse for arriving at 6:00 & eating @ 7:00 when all that was ordered was a drink and entree each.

I have always had a good meal at Red Drum. This visit was no different. On the night of our last visit, they had a large birthday party in the back room. The owner told us that the party was for the wife of a local restaurant owner. The fact that they (as restaurant owners) chose Red Drum for the celebration speaks for itself. The service and food was great as always. Great ambience. We were pleased with our experience.

Red Drum is good place with exelent atmosphere for a diner with friends, the food has a lot of flavors of Texas but with sofiticacion touch, in general food has a exelent quality and good taste.

Simply awesome! Got the Chicken tacos for the first time and they are ridiculously good!!! Red Drum always deliveries in amazing ways! Great night! We have celebrated birthdays and anniversaries and this time we got to celebrate and discover we are having a baby girl and Charlie and his staff were so sweet to my wife and I. Made the occasion that much more special to have it at Red Drum.
