I was looking forward to experiencing "Red". Originally to dine outdoors near the fire pit, but after checking the temp forecast before arrival, glad I decided against it. It was a bit chilly to enjoy a meal, but i did tour the space before dinner to see the view of the Valley. I expected more.

Red's entire space was relatively 'simple', modernist decor. The outdoor lounge seating near the fire pit was a bit unkempt compared to other areas of the space...possibly more atmospheric on a warmer evening.
A nutritional portion of Atlantic salmon was seasoned very slightly. The "Honey Mee" cocktail was, for me, an uncharacteristically sweet blend of ingredients with Gin which, unfortunately intensified my headache.
Service seemed attentive; however lacked 'nuanced' professionalism; it felt 'forced'.

Positive attribute: Quiet enough to hear my companion. I was able to comfortably converse with my dinner companion without straining to hear over other diners or clanging plates/utensils. In addition, near the end of the evening, I began to hear soft, unobtrusive piped-in music--which was the other reason I chose seating indoors...it was a nice touch.

Although I'd hoped for a bit more ambiance, I'm glad my window seat allowed me an unobstructed view of the towering white-lighted tree on the patio...a festive touch! Unless invited by someone, I'll probably not return to sip cocktails around the fire pit on the patio.

Our servers Melissa and Junior were delightful.
Our dinners were outrageous, so flavorful! We truly could not stop raving about our choices thanks to Melissa our server who helped us with our meal selections. To top off our 5 star service and 5 Star entrees was the gorgeous view. We dine out quite a lot for business every week and BY FAR... RED has been the best all around experience in SoCal!

This was our first bisit to RED. The food was very good as was the service. Pricey, however, for the type of meals. Dining room was nice, but outdoors would be the best option.

Food is delicious, but drinks are unacceptable. 3.5 oz for $13. Whats the point. Not a place to go out and grab a mixed drink. Beer and wine are fine. Atmosphere is nice.

We had dinner at Red since we were spending the night at the Pacific Palms Resort. They only had 5:45 available or 8. We chose 5:45 and when we arrived the restaurant was almost empty. As we were leaving it started to fill up.....so I’m not sure about the 5:45. Service was very friendly and everyone tried very hard but every time we asked for something they forgot and we had to ask again. The bread they served had been microwaved for too long. We chose a charcuterie plate to start. It was very mediocre. If a restaurant is going to include a charcuterie and cheese platter, the ingredients have to be special. If not don’t put it on the menu! It reminded me of Harry and David cheeses and salamis. We also shared a tomato with burrata salad and it was an excellent version. Cheese was wonderful, tomatoes colorful and flavorful and aged vinegar perfect. We shared the papadelle with seafood which was excellent and brimming with seafood. All in all I would say the restaurant is a bit above mediocre but then again has very little to compete with in the area! We did see that someone had ordered the ribeye as we were leaving. It was one of the largest steaks I’ve seen! If I lived in the area I would give it another chance. Maybe we ordered the wrong things.

Would have been 5 Solid Stars but there is just no ambiance when there is no music at all on the patio. I understand its a golf resort, but even in the evening there is NO MUSIC playing in the outdoor dining area. Its dead quiet and you can just listen to every other tables conversation or hope there’s an evenr in their ballroom and eavesdrop on the music then.

My friend and I enjoyed our lunch here at Red. Service was great, ambience was awesome, and the view was fantastic!!! We took a little stroll around the periphery of the restaurant and it was a
very enjoyable walk. Will definitely try this place at night to enjoy the night lights in the surrounding areas.

The filet Mignon was just how I like it. My wife really enjoyed her chicken also. We had the Baked Alaska for dessert with strawberry gelato and it was perfection . The service was great and our server Melissa was so kind and made us feel welcomed. Will definitely be back.

The overall dinning experience was fantastic. We had a twilight dinner on the patio with a great view on the valley. We both had a seafood entree with a superb Pinot wine. The pace of the service was spread out perfectly so would could enjoy our evening. Would highing recommend Red for your dinning.

The Lamb Chops and Rib Eye Steak was pretty favorable and desert Service was great with only a minor issue with one of my plate but was quickly remedied. Service was great great from my waitress and manager. Would definitely come back soon to experience the rest of their menu.

One of the poorest customer service experiences to date, which is sad. Started off with a bang and ended with a whimper. It's inconsistency. I must give them two stars for each of my other five-star visits, but tonight killed it for me. We asked for H20; never came.

I asked for a New York Steak, medium. Sent out well done, or at the very least medium plus (compared it to the medium rare steak next to me). No apology from the server. She took it away and came back and said, "The Chef said that's our medium." Okay, I don't want to argue with you. You tell me what I need to eat. Apparently I don't eat a lot of steaks at steakhouses and don't spend more than a small country's GDP to eat out. But that's okay. I would have bought and swallowed his crap whole if I hadn't had a perfectly cooked medium steak only a few days before. It was amazing. I was craving it. (No joke it was perfect). But not tonight. She brought the check without asking us for dessert? Really? Our server checked on us less than the cocktail waitress? Yes. Horrible. Where is John? At least John understands customer service and cultivates tips like a farmer plowing a field.

After showing pictures of the steaks to Olivia, she said my pictures were different because of the lighting. I showed her the picture of the medium rare steak and asked her, how would that steak look under the other lighting? She said, "Blue." - basically a 5 to 10 second sear on each side (the epitome of rare, but that's not what we ordered either). Olivia giggled at me when I discussed what happened. She wasn't serious or sincere about making our experience exquisite. We live in the area and would have come often, but she missed that opportunity. Mock me, giggle, no problem, but I have no problem making sure others don't spend their Ben Franklins for a mediocre night.

The food was excellent and the service was a rare find- Good old fashioned customer service. I was at the resort for four nights and I couldn't wait to get back to the restaurant. The only negative was the loud and very rude tourists that were extremely rude to the very pleasant and hard working staff at the restaurant.

My experience was great! My fiancé and I were out for date night and he actually proposed to me there after dinner. Our waitress provided us with a complimentary celebratory dessert and was even kind enough to write "Congratulations" on our plate to make the night even more special. She offered to take our photo out in the beautiful patio where the background was so pretty. I left such a happy woman. Great food, great drinks and excellent service! Definitely coming back for our anniversary!

Food was amazing! Had the black cod...probably one of the best I've had. The sea bass was spectacular as well. The edamame humus was so good. Unfortunately the service was just mediocre. I expected better service for such a good restaurant, but instead, it was the kind of service I'd expect at a basic diner. The servers were very friendly and approachable, don't get me wrong, but they need to get their act together to live up to Red's reputation. I'll still come back for dinner another time because the food was pretty amazing.

RED made black angus and outback look very good... At least their prime rib is tender and juicy for half the price . The calamari was extremely salty as well. It was nothing compared to my first visit there
