I love their pizza and desserts!
We went to the brunch buffet. It was us and another table in there that was all. Service was amazing. Extremely friendly and nice servers and a very nice funny omelet cook.
Omelets were very good, made to order items very good. Quite a few items in the buffet were stale and old you could tell probably had been used the previous day. So for what we paid ratio fresh good food to stale old food definitely not worth the price.
Had a great meal and even better service! We are new to neighborhood and will definitely be back.
We go to Red Cedar at least once a week
They have a great menu selection,
Food is good and prices very reasonable.
There are quite a few things to choose from the brunch buffet. I usually get an omelette, some salad and some fruit. There is a dessert table. All the items on the table look good. But I think they are too rich to eat in the morning. (Just my opinion!)
Red Cedar has long been a favorite for us. Maybe it was just an off night - but the saganaki was not served flaming, the fried calamari was soggy, and we had to return the swordfish twice to have it cooked well done. We sat toward the middle of the restaurant (away from the door) and were surprised at the number of flies buzzing around.
We went for lunch on Sunday and when we got there they have a Brunch until 2p which was a nice little surprise. The bloody Mary was delicious. Our waitress brought us these tiny sticky buns- SOOO GOOD!
Great meal for a fair price. Great place for a date or to meet friends.
We went for brunch to get together on my son’s birthday. He would have been 35 yesterday but he passed away at 33. We won’t come back for brunch No one at the omelet station every time one of us went up to order. If you’re gonna have a Sunday brunch you need a cook at that station
We have been going to Red Cedar Grille for years because it is convenient for the 4 of us to meet. Last Saturday's dinner was the worst ever. Lettuce leaves in the Caesar Salad was brown on the edges. Also the very- small -for- the- price salad had almost no dressing. The entrée Salmon was cooked appropriately and tasted good, but was thin and small , 3 ounces or so, over a piece of dried wood to which the skin stuck, all over a slab of mashed potatoes and asparagus, which were good. My dining companions had dry and flavorless crab cake made with crab flakes---not the chunks of crab that they should have; a small tasteless sword fish; and brisket that was unremarkable. The Bloody Mary's swizzle stick had 2 old, dried limes and 2 perhaps-recycled olives. It was difficult to drink through the straw: each sip brought a mouth of pepper flakes.
The unfriendly young man who served us had to be asked to tell us the specials; kept trying to take our plates away; did not refill our waters; and did not tell us the dessert specials, except for a special dessert cocktail. ( Later we heard him telling the dessert specials to another group, as he loudly carried on a conversation with them.) He was arrogant and obnoxious.
The food was great. The waiter was working hard. It took forever to get waited on and to get our food and the soup was missed. Again, it was clearly short staffed and I’m not sure how this happens on Fathers Day.
1- The bartender does not know how to make an old fashioned, it was the worst I’ve ever had.
2- Chicken and Brie Sandwich wasn’t cooked, still pink on the inside. The fries that came with the sandwich tasted like freezer burn.
I wouldn’t return nor recommend.
Always a good experience! Was there with family before my son's high school graduation.
We came for the brunch buffet and were very pleased. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive.
The buffet had a nice variety and every thing was attractively arranged. The food was hot and very tasty.
We'll be back.
The food is very good (need to work on the desserts). Staff is excellent! Second to none. I like the overall feeling of the place from the staff to the food to the place.
We've dined here several times before and have never seen it so dead on a Friday evening. It had always been very busy before. Maybe there were other local things going on. Our server was new but very attentive. Food was good but the Calamari had too much breading. Overall it was pretty good.
We had a buffet. First, we were unaware when we made reservations that it was buffet only. The beef was raw in center, the shrimp was over cooked, salad was not fresh and desserts looked more like a pot luck of desserts brought from home - not tasty either. The most unbelievable issue was the $29.99 price even for children. Was definitely not worth that.
Mother’s Day buffet dinner was amazing. Very pleasantly surprised.
The Mother’s Day buffet was great, but we were seated in the back room with two families with small children. I’m pretty tolerant of child noises, but the noise definitely detracted from the meal. More sound absorbing fabrics are needed in that space. The main dining room was much quieter.
Food has went downhill. Brunch used to be quality food for cheap. The buffet food was stale, cold, and hard. The omelette station was appealing, but my omelette was burnt. My children had a waffle made that was not cooked and wet in the middle. The dessert station used to have fresh baked treats. It is basically just pudding and cookies now.
It was our first time experiencing brunch here and not sure we would do it again. The bottomless mimosas and bloody mary’s Are fantastic but the food just was okay. They have lots to choose from, omelette bar, fresh waffles, eggs benedict not cooked well, roasted potatoes were cold and bland, the chocolate chip french toast my kids loved as well as the fruit.
It’s not bad just not sure if breakfast is their thing. We prefer their dinner for the the taste of food.
We just loved this place from the minute we walked in we were pleasantly greeted and sat immediately. We went for their amazing Easter Brunch which was just delish!
Everyone was delightful. Brendan’s attention to us was just perfect! Highly recommend the Red Cedar Grille for any occasion especially brunch. We intend to go back for dinner!
A group of us met there for lunch. Service was excellent. Wonderful waiter. Delicious food. Everyone was happy.
Great food! Cocktails need work! Service was good as well!
The bartender didn't know how to make most cocktails.
The waitress forgot about us, despite the empty restaurant.
Service was staggeringly slow, we got up to leave twice but were stopped when our food came.
I think that about sums it up. How this place has good reviews is kinda surprising. The food was fine; nothing great. I was surprised how the bartender didn't know what a sazerac or negroni was, didn't look it up, and kept asking for other drinks that he might know. It certainly isn't "known for its cocktails". The waitstaff kept watching tv while we waited for water.
Outstanding 1st time there definitely going back
The Experience was good. The food was good and the service outstanding. The only thing a little negative was that the menu was limited.
Waitress was friendly and efficient. Food good too. Only issue was the Ceaser salad was turning brown. Made reservations and had no wait. Sat talking to friends and didnt feel like we were being pushed out like a lot of places.
Great food it is my go to place for a great meal . Large portions had to take some home .
We had a large group and were able to get separate checks. The waitress was very organized and attentive. We would definitely return.
Slow service . Bad timing . Cold entree . Won’t be going back
The food was delicious! It was my parents' anniversary and they thoroughly enjoyed their meals. My father had a seafood ravioli special. Two of us had the brisket entree and one had the pulled pork entree. All of us were happy with our meals and the additional soups and salads we ordered. The bar makes a great old-fashioned too!
Menu is well varied and prices are reasonable for the meals. Our food was tasty, but the booths are uncomfortable and the appearance needs updating.
Always good food, and good service.
menu needs an update
This place is a hidden gem off of the beaten track a bit. Very interesting menu , good beer selection
Very attentive service and quick service. I would highly recommend. It had a good crowd for a Saturday night. Not crazy packed which I liked
The apps were a bit pricey for the size, the rueben egg roll was as small as my thumb
The service was very poor. The restaurant was not full due to an impending snow storm and we waited for our drinks each time they were ordered. Waitress didn’t ask if we wanted dessert or a drink after we were finished with our meal just brought over a check
Our meals were quite filling and very tasteful!
The food was cold and the fries were soggy. Wrong order delivered up front. Never asked if we wanted more drinks or desserts.
Did the brunch buffet. Took forever to get mimosa (nearly done with meal) ordered bottomless ones. Service was just slow
