The wait staff seemed moderately disinterested, the buffet was not cared for with dried out food and spilled food on the table and the food was just not good.
I am sorry to report, this place is an utter disaster
I want to preface this review by saying that I went on Mother's Day, and they were having a buffet instead of normal menu, which my parents and I were not expecting. The restaurant was almost 30 minutes behind on seating us even with our reservation. The buffet was cold and demolished by the time we were eating, and sparsely replenished. The food was mediocre at best. It was generally an extremely disappointing experience. I wish we had known in advance that they were only serving a brunch buffet that day because I would have cancelled. They are definitely not set up to serve that style. Plus our server seemed like he had probably only been serving for a couple of weeks and wanted to be there less than I did. He barely spoke to us.
Waited 25 min for a table. It was mother's day brunch and they were overwhelmed. Not the servers fault, but the front of house should be more informative and seated tables better. They had few bus people so tables sat dirty while people piled up in lobby. Food was just ok. I would go back and try normal dinner service, but not a great first impression.
They always great you with a smile, nice varied beer menu, and just enough diverse food selections to keep everyone happy.
Always enjoy the brunch! Miss the mussels, but understand the cost/quality issue.
We went to the Red Cedar Grille for brunch and it was top notch. Service was great, brunch buffet was delicious, and Kentucky coffee and milkshake martini were great!
Excellent menu with innovative dishes
Overall, a solid night. Hostess a bit abrupt, server was very good though impatient as she interrupted conversation twice without so much as an excuse me. However, she was nice. Food is overpriced for the quality and presentation. Still, three of the four of our party rated their meals as excellent. Very busy, staff seemed rush. Worth a visit, we’ll return but nothing special here to make one eager to go back.
A step above other area dining options with reasonable prices and small plates good for groups.
My husband and I enjoyed our date night at Red Cedar Grille this past weekend. The food was delicious! My husband had the whiskey glazed brisket - very tender and had a great taste. I had the buttermilk chicken BLT - you could cut the chicken with a fork, that's how tender it was. both dishes were generous portions. Tanya, our server, was so friendly and made some menu suggestions. We will definitely plan another date night here!
Always enjoy going there.
Reasonable drink and food prices and a friendly atmosphere.
We waited almost an hour for our food, but our waitress was food
Pam is the best!!!
Brendan very attentive, knowledgeable of menu, gave recommendations. Food was good, portions good. Would dine here again.
Decor same as the last two restaurant occupying space.
I go to Red Cedar on a regular basis for a variety of reasons. Happy hour is always fun and the bar staff is exceptional. All the bartenders are great, but Scrappy really makes an effort to know his customers and makes the evening entertaining. The food is great, they usually have two or three amazing specials to pick from along with the regular menu which has great burgers, mussels, brisket, salads, something for everyone. They also have a nice brunch buffet every Sunday.
My husband really likes it here. I have dairy issues and find most foods have dairy in it. But there are a few options for me to choose from. Our waitress, I do not remember her name, was very nice and attentive. Even though it was busy, we did not feel neglected. I had the shrimp scampi special which was really good! My husband had a caesar salad with steak and the onion soup which never disappoints.
Our first time, party of 5, 2 adults and 3 kids. Server was attentive, food was good and portions decent. We will definitely be back!
St Patrick’s day
Place was packed. Food was great and drinks are very reasonably priced.
It was very busy which was to be expected with so many people without power looking dinner. We opted to eat at the bar. The bartender was great but the food was mediocre at best. Turkey burger was terrible. Overall a lot of money for burgers and fries.
We arrived early for our reservations and were seated in a reasonable amount of time. The waitress took our drink orders but we had to remind her about our drinks. We placed our dinner order while we waited for our drinks. 30 minutes later after she told us she was trying to hurry our order we had to ask for rolls. Over 45 minutes after we ordered we finally received our meal. The food was good but for what we ordered I feel the wait was unreasonable. We probably won't go back.
This was a great restaurant. Food was really good and service (our waitress Kendra) was incredible. Can’t wait to come back!
This was our second time here and both times we had excellent meals! I had a shrimp fettuccini dish that was amazing and my husband had a steak salad that he said was delicious! We will definitely go back!
The Food was wonderful! So delicious and great portions! Will definitely be back!!
We eat here often and usually enjoy everything. However, this last time our server was awful!
Not as good as the last time....too much garlic on a non garlic dish....little chicken in the salty pot pie....disappointed
We frequent the restaurant. Never fails us. The butter cake was amazing!! You wont go wrong with the Cedar Grill!!!
Got a seat right away. Service was great and food good. There was a lot of noise from the bar and we would like to try the back dining room next time.
It was very good. We were seated by the door so it was a little chilly.
Used to be a lot better... Only 1 person out of 6 liked their meal.
Pleasantly surprised! Our party had the mushroom and goat cheese pizza, nachos (they are huge), chicken wings, and shrimp salad. All very good! We’ll definitely be back!!!
The chef does some very new and interesting combinations. It is a little noisier than I would like but the food is well worth it and the staff are very helpful and accommodating.
The food and service were both excellent. They have a broad range of American food offerings.
We eat here often and have pretty high standards which should speak for itself. The food is always delicious the service is always good and the prices are absolutely reasonable. We might even be back next week.
The pasta buffet was awesome and so was our server!
We have eaten at the Red Cedar Grille twice in the past two years. We had positive experiences both times. The service was amazing! The servers were attentive, but not annoying. They know the menu very well and can recommend items if needed. The food selections are quite varied and unique. It is always made fresh to order.
Good food. Casual atmosphere. Courteous staff. Decent value.
Comfortable restaurant. Food was good. Liked having gluten-free options. Not crazy about little flies...
GREAT FOOD REASONABLE PRICES
MUSSEL MONDAYS ARE ALWAYS GOOD
Monday's All You Can Eat Mussels is great. The habanero sauce and the Thai curry sauce are our favorite! The price is good too -- $11.95/person!
My dinner partners and I all said, "What a find!"
This is a gem of a restaurant, and although out of the way for where I live, it is worth the drive. I'll definitely go there again, should an occasion arise.
