It was very busy which was to be expected with so many people without power looking dinner. We opted to eat at the bar. The bartender was great but the food was mediocre at best. Turkey burger was terrible. Overall a lot of money for burgers and fries.
We arrived early for our reservations and were seated in a reasonable amount of time. The waitress took our drink orders but we had to remind her about our drinks. We placed our dinner order while we waited for our drinks. 30 minutes later after she told us she was trying to hurry our order we had to ask for rolls. Over 45 minutes after we ordered we finally received our meal. The food was good but for what we ordered I feel the wait was unreasonable. We probably won't go back.
This was a great restaurant. Food was really good and service (our waitress Kendra) was incredible. Can’t wait to come back!
This was our second time here and both times we had excellent meals! I had a shrimp fettuccini dish that was amazing and my husband had a steak salad that he said was delicious! We will definitely go back!
The Food was wonderful! So delicious and great portions! Will definitely be back!!
We eat here often and usually enjoy everything. However, this last time our server was awful!
Not as good as the last time....too much garlic on a non garlic dish....little chicken in the salty pot pie....disappointed
We frequent the restaurant. Never fails us. The butter cake was amazing!! You wont go wrong with the Cedar Grill!!!
Got a seat right away. Service was great and food good. There was a lot of noise from the bar and we would like to try the back dining room next time.
It was very good. We were seated by the door so it was a little chilly.
Used to be a lot better... Only 1 person out of 6 liked their meal.
Pleasantly surprised! Our party had the mushroom and goat cheese pizza, nachos (they are huge), chicken wings, and shrimp salad. All very good! We’ll definitely be back!!!
The chef does some very new and interesting combinations. It is a little noisier than I would like but the food is well worth it and the staff are very helpful and accommodating.
The food and service were both excellent. They have a broad range of American food offerings.
We eat here often and have pretty high standards which should speak for itself. The food is always delicious the service is always good and the prices are absolutely reasonable. We might even be back next week.
The pasta buffet was awesome and so was our server!
We have eaten at the Red Cedar Grille twice in the past two years. We had positive experiences both times. The service was amazing! The servers were attentive, but not annoying. They know the menu very well and can recommend items if needed. The food selections are quite varied and unique. It is always made fresh to order.
Good food. Casual atmosphere. Courteous staff. Decent value.
Comfortable restaurant. Food was good. Liked having gluten-free options. Not crazy about little flies...
GREAT FOOD REASONABLE PRICES
MUSSEL MONDAYS ARE ALWAYS GOOD
Monday's All You Can Eat Mussels is great. The habanero sauce and the Thai curry sauce are our favorite! The price is good too -- $11.95/person!
My dinner partners and I all said, "What a find!"
This is a gem of a restaurant, and although out of the way for where I live, it is worth the drive. I'll definitely go there again, should an occasion arise.
Advertised special not offered that night.
Had a shrimp dish with so little shrimp lots of pasta and no taste
Our experience at the Red Cedar Grille was amazing! The food was unique and absolutely delicious and the service was incredible. We can't wait to go back and try more dishes!
The place should be avoided at all cost. There were only 6 people in the entire place and yet the food still came out cold. Even if the food had been hot it was awful!!
Stick with 'pub' food and you can't go wrong. Any if their in house smoked meats were a hit. Our waiter (also a bartender) was terrific. Lots of enthusiasm and good recommendations. We will be back.
The crab cakes were fabulous. Hamburger and fries were typical. The Bavarian pork chops with mushroom gravy , pierogies and wilted greens could have been fabulous but were fried too much. Pierogies get tough when sautéed too long and the thin pork chops were just too crisp.
The service timing was good but not real friendly. I felt like the staff were robotic. I will try again since the crab cakes were so good.
It was a beautiful afternoon and we requested outdoor seating. The wait staff was very accommodating. The drinks were good - nice variety and not over priced. Everything on the menu. It was hard to choose. We ended up getting the special - which was a surf and turf. The shrimp and filet were cooked perfectly which doesn't always happen on a grill. I would definitely go back and recommend it to others.
I love going to Red Cedar - great food, great servers!
Get the thai curry mussles and breads and spreads!
The food was ok, but the service was very slow for a night when it wasn't that crowded. This was our second time there and we have now had the same experience twice. We will not be back.
This restaurant has innovative, well-prepared food for a variety of tastes, reasonably priced. The servers are friendly and the management is attentive. Only caveat is that the night we were there saw an infestation of gnats, which was annoying. The manager apologized and discounted our meal, so they took full responsibility. I will go back and hope they got rid of the gnats!
Update: returned and this time the gnats were mostly, but not completely, gone. Much better experience.
Been here a number of times and even hosted a family baby shower here. The food is very good and the service excellent. The staff is always friendly and accommodating - whether your in for a regular meal or planning a party. They have a great brunch too!
We will try it again, but stick to sandwiches. The menu sounds amazing, but some of the dishes fell flat (mussels in stout, tomato mozzarella salad and shrimp and crab linguini --great quality seafood, but no flavor/seasonings). The pork cutlet and short rib ravioli were excellent.
Our server was new and gluten free, so hadn't tasted anything on the menu, had no recommendations and rushed us through the entire evening, even though no one was waiting for tables.
One suggestion, dim the lights. It's a beautiful interior, but lit like a diner.
Awesome, everything about the evening was superb, especially the staff.
First time eating dinner there but have multiple times been to brunch. Enjoyed our meal. Husband and I ordered two different meals and shared. We will be back
We'd come back again
The good and mixed drinks were tasty
Always good fresh food, friendly service and great value. Portion size is very good. Food is always delicious. Take friends and family here a lot. Good spot with co workers too. Really nice local spot I can count on.
A great new place in Colmar, PA
Food was very good and hot and our waiter Dalton was new but did a great job
The Red Snapper over rice with asparagus was awesome and reasonable
The service was very good, very nice wait staff. We got the special which was suppose to have crab meat on it, there was none. The restaurant had a musty smell to it.
