I will miss this gem. So sad to see it close, but delighted to be here on the last day. Lasting memories of a true NY institution.
As always, we thoroughly enjoyed dining at red cat. We are very sorry to see the restaurant go.
Great restaurant - excellent food - very sorry to see it close.
Celebratory evening at Red Cat. Experience was exciting. Everyone in group had something different to eat. Everyone thought their meal was the best. Service was very attentive. Outstanding!
We are so sad that Red Cat is now closed. We will miss this wonderful place!!!!!!!!
Sorry that they are closing! Yummy as always!
bartender/server was just adequate
As always, the Red Cat was awesome in every way. I'm so sorry they are closing.
RIP Red Cat. You will be sorely missed. I guess Jimmy needed a change of scene, but with everything bad going on in the world these days, why did it have to be at the expense of The Red Cat's fans?
AT THIS POINT THIS RESTAURANT WILL BE CLOSED BY 12/31
Love this placed. Bummed it will be closing. Always amazing!
Will miss this place so much
So, so sorry to see this Chelsea restaurant close. Lots of great meals with good friends her over the years. Hopefully, another eating establishment will continue the tradition.
Food was excellent. So sad that they are closing on 12/23.
We’ve been regular patrons at The Red Cat for many years. It’s been one of our favorite dining experiences in Manhattan and it didn’t disappoint this time either. We had a small hiccup with my meal (the pork chop was over cooked), but it was fixed and the service was fantastic as always. We’re sad that this will be our last meal at such a wonderful dining establishment.
It has always been my "go-to" restaurant in NYC. Sad to see it go, but so grateful for all the celebrations and meals at the Red Cat. Best wishes to every one on staff as they move on to new adventures.
Have dined there since they opened. In town 2-3 times per year from NC. Had our final kiss goodbye dinner, sad to see her go. Thank you for many a nice night.
Having had a great meal last year we came back. The service was awful and the food good but not great. Definitely a downturn from last year. Wonder f what happened.
Will miss this place!
We are devastated that The Red Cat is closing next week. It has been our go-to special place for friends and celebrations for over 20 years! It will leave a void in our neighborhood- so sad to see it close-
Always a delightful meal. Sorry to see it close. Glad I got to Ho before it closes. Temporal string beans always a treat.
One of the most special spots in Manhattan. Five stars.
Fantastic experience for late lunch we really enjoyed the food. Sorry to hear the restaurant is closing in Jan.
Delicious risotta and cocktails. Cozy restaurant. Friendly staff. Closing down soon, so catch it before it gone.
The food, service and atmosphere was terrific. Our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable, and the food was delicious! Definitely a neighborhood gem in Chelsea.
Disappointed meat dish...poorly cooked and served...not good, sorry. Service was nice and wine selection good...
Great restaurant, I hate to see it close on December 23rd.
As everybody else says, please don’t close!
This is such a delightful restaurant, all around. The food is creative and delicious. The staff warm and helpful. We are going to miss it a lot when it closes later this month. Huge loss.
As always, a nearly perfect meal in all respects. I can’t believe Red Cat is closing. What a tragedy!
The experience was great, as usual, but this time, a touch of bittersweet because we knew it was probably the last time we would eat there. The food and service were terrific; however it was pretty noisy but we managed to have a conversation by shouting over the shouters. We will try to get there one more time before they close for good in a couple of weeks.
Oh how lucky we have been to have The Red Cat in our neighborhood . It feels like your quintessential neighborhood go to spot yet at the same time serves up some of the consistently best food in the city. I love that there is something on the menu to make everyone happy.
A very busy quality restaurant. We wanted a New York restaurant for New Yorkers, that served great food and was great fun. The Red Cat delivered on all fronts. Thank you
On my lunch reservation I marked "Special Occasion" and asked for a table in the rear. No accomodation.
The table was near the front door and chilly.
The food was mediocre. The coffee was really bad.
We love Red Cat!!
We have been dining here for years. We have dined here twice this month knowing that it will be closing on 12/23.
A terrible loss.
So sad this is closing. Happy with our meal. Service was friendly and knowledgeable but she had lots of tables to there was some lag in the time she had for us. Great location. Hope something new will go there
I brought some Canadian family and friends to Red Cat for a Saturday lunch. The reservation was easy to make and more importantly, it was easy to change. When I called 45 min before our scheduled arrival to ask if we could arrive with our part of five 30 minutes earlier. "No problem" come on in. The food was great, the atmosphere fun and the service very attentive.
Excellent as always. Cannot believe it's closing in a couple weeks. A big loss for the neighborhood and the lovely people who work there.
Wonderful meal and experience. Alex the bartender is efficient and an absolute pleasure
