Exceeded all my expectations
Great meal and great wait staff
Every dish was delicious. Had octopus and risotto appetizers, chicken(most succulent).
Went back 2nd time in 2 weeks.
What an amazing meal! Food and service were top notch!
Excellent food and service. Highly recommend.
A great meal and good time after being away for a few years. Food and service A+. Drinks a bit pricey and that brings up the tab when you add tax and tip.
Beautiful setting to go with a walk on the High Line.
We will return soon.
Perfect end of the week quiet dinner with my husband
As always superb meal. This time the onion tart was exceptional, loved the gin martini, and my chicken dish was moist and luscious! Love to bring people to the Red Cat. I am never disappointed. Oh, did I mention the desserts?? lemon cheese cake and pistachio semi freddo was fantastic !!! Thank you!
Love the Red Cat! Always fun to be there. Food and service consistently good, wine list interesting, noise level tolerable.
The pistachio semifreddo was the perfect crowning glory to an already superb meal - and all of it enhanced by service with just the right soft touch.
Consistently excellent food, cocktails, and service.
First time diner here, have been wanting to try it for years and glad I finally did. Liked it a lot and will be back but was very taken aback how loud the room was for dinner; I really hate having to shout at a dining companion who is seated three feet away. Octopus and liver pate/fois gras apps were really wonderful. Duck entrée was delicious. Portions were filling and there was great value to pricing. Food showed thoughtfulness and care and fell more on the comfort side of dining than on the innovative trying to impress side, which was perfect for me. Similarly, the specialty cocktails were nothing to knock your socks off and we had enough of them after the first round and went to wine and standard cocktails for the rest of the night. If I lived in this neighborhood I'd be eating here a lot.
Outstanding cuisine. Flavors were amazing. Service highly professional. Unpretentious, relaxed yet sophisticated atmosphere.
I would highly recommend nice atmosphere and good food.
We went after an event and enjoyed our dinner and the evening. Thank you
Service and food are always excellent
I have been dining at Red Cat for several years and it never disappoints.
My favorite neighborhood dining spot!!
Great food and very nice staff
Red Cat is always a treat. The staff are welcoming, knowledgeable and so friendly with great recommendations. My experience here has been consistent in food and service. I really love the vibe and will return again and again.
excellent food. fun vibe. energetic bar crowd. VERY noisy at full tilt. had to move to a more remote table just to hear ourselves.
Food was very good and well priced - would recommend and come back
This Chelsea eatery helped lead the way to a gastronomic revolution for this neighborhood over the last 20 years. Small restaurant and menu ensures extraordinary food and service. Duck hash and tempura green beans were scrumptious. Wine list as imaginative as everything else here. Highly recommended.
This restaurant was exceptional on every level. The server, Philip, was extremely personable and efficient, doing everything possible to please. The choices that we made were creative and excellent (Hake & hangar steak). I cannot say enough about how beautifully the presentation was and oh the taste - simply WOW! When dessert was offered, we tried hard to say no but found it impossible! I would guess that EVERYTHING is top notch but our choice was the triple sorbet (homemade and again - OMG!). Oh and it was our anniversary, so they brought us complimentary glasses of sauterne. We can't wait to return and would highly recommend! Thank you, Red Cat!
I took a small group of my co-workers for dinner and the food was nothing short of amazing with superb service.
A restaurant with consistent integrity and a sense of value. Has often had chefs starting out who became celebrated on their own. Good imagination and creative dishes. Completely comfortable and adult. Mercifully quiet. All the waitstaff is superior.
The Red Cat Restaurant was recommended to us by the lady who’s apartment we were renting, it is just around the corner from the apartment which made it ideal for us seeing as we didn’t arrive at our accommodation until 7pm, our son having flown in from the UK and my husband and I from Atlanta.
We had a lovely meal there and hope to dine there again before we leave New York.
Red Cat tries to be a high end neighborhood gathering place. The ambiance supports the goal. Comfortable and welcoming. The staff was competent and attentive without being annoyingly friendly. The food was the let down. Overcooked chicken, nondescript salad, OK yet not memorable ravioli. Maybe a bad night. Didn’t make an impression.
Great service great and thoughtful food.
Though only half full for lunch it was way too noisy for me to hear. The acoustics are terrible. I had remembered it being loud at dinner. As a result, I wouldn't go back again because of the noise which is a shame because the food was very very good, the menu so interesting that it was very hard to chose among very interesting options, and the service attentive. Bummer. :-(
Great place food & service
Been there 10x and consistent
Randall and his staff continue to excel in every way. Our charming waitperson Erin was attentive and a pleasure. Red Cat has not lost any of its luster as one of NYC's most inviting, delicious, and pleasurable restaurants. Thankfully the tourists have not discovered it.
Anniversary celebration was such a fun time at this off the Highline restaurant! Kate was an amazing server and the cheeseburger is to die for!
It's been a while since I've come across such a great place. The service was AMAZING!
They make you feel special and well served. The food is also AMAZING! I had the chicken liver and foie gras terrine, so smooth and flavorful. It was so good, I wanted to take a separate order home with me. As an entrée, I had the Long Island duck breast. It was delicious and cooked perfectly.
It was my first time there and I will DEFINITELY return again.
The staff are caring & attentive. Food excellent
Took my mom here for Mother’s Day, the Menu was delicious! The service was also excellent.
I have dine there several times and never ever regret it - the food is outstanding always and the service very very good - please keep up the good work! I never tried a better duck risotto in my life and I’m a big foodie
Never fails to deliver. We have been several times over the years and today was no exception. Service exceptional, food great. Well done!
We loved this restaurant. The service is outstanding, the food and wine were delicious, and the ambiance is charming. Make sure you order the tempura green beans.
Always lived this place. And our last visit there was not exception.
Thy asked if we were heading to a show after dinner so they could get us out at a time we where comfortable with.
The food was outstanding!! And the service on point.
A little pricey, so perfect for a special occasion.
