called them around 7.47pm to say I was running late for my 7.30p appointment. staff who answered said she could not hear me over my car speakerphone background noise. she disconnected. I called back 3 times on my handset and ALL CALLS went to voicemail, instructing me to leave a message!!! Very surprised that calls at that peak period were being routed to voicemail. I drove there anyway, wondering if I would get seated or not.

My family and I had a great time attending the game last Fri. The food variety was awesome and the desserts were to die for, literally. I had reservations for 20 and my sister had reservations for 6. The staff was able to seat us by one another to eat and watch the game. To seal our evening, Greald Green hit the winning shot, what a time we had.

The evening started with our table not being ready because of a mixup then the waitress didn’t know it was a birthday celebration so we almost missed the great dessert created! Other than that the evening was wonderful! I would have liked a little more seafood selections however what we had was great!! I was surprised there were no peanuts or popcorn! I will definitely come back and tell others about the Bistro!

Food, service, wine list and view were amazing. However, we were seated 15 minutes late despite having a reservation. We felt rushed to make our seats by tip off. Nice dining option, but allow yourself extra time if dining here.

Buffet style (restaurant said chefs table tho). Food was very good for taste but did not stay hot on plates for long - maybe warm plates may help? Desserts were ok, cookies were the best!

Nice pre-game meal. Buffet style so I decided to try a little bit of everything. We went on Grotto night. The cabernet special for the evening was pretty good. Loved the salad bar, chicken and cauliflower mash - SO good! Sauteed veggies were average - squash, zucchini, and asparagus. Fish in tomato sauce - slightly above average. Desserts were just ok overall - but did have some tasty dark chocolate covered strawberries and bite sized cheesecake. Coconut macaroons and brownies just ok. Didn't try the cookies because they were SO big and I didn't want to waste it. They had an ice cream bar that looked good as well. The view of the game from our table was obstructed - literally if they just lowered the rail by 6 inches it would have been perfect but I think they want to encourage you to move to your seat so that they can turn over the tables, so they purposefully offer obstructed views while dining. Waitress seemed overwhelmed. Overall, a nice option with a good variety during a Rockets game, you should try it.

Wonderful food, Eddie Romero does an incredible job, making both vegetarians and carnivores happy with a wide variety of offerings. Oysters Rockefeller was a real treat!

Food is very good. Table wasn’t ready when reservation was booked - normally isn’t a problem but they had overbook - and when you’re attending a Rockets game that’s problematic. . However, staff very accommodating and did a great job despite the initial issue.

Never fails, you get a reservation and still wait in line for your table to be cleaned. They must not have any busboys because it takes forever to get a clean table. Also, they don't clear out the people after first seating before game starts. And people occupy table till 1 st period which means you can't watch the game till they leave. Has to be a better way of having tables ready for people with reservations. All I ever see is the hostess just standing around the computer looking aimlessly into space. Why aren't they cleaning off tables and trying to seat customers. The hostess didn't once check with the people in line if they had a reservation or not, did they have ledge dining so they wouldn't have to wait for the line to shrink for them to get to there table. A lot of work need to be done up front. You also see mgrs. running around with a radio and a badge but they don't help out as well, I guess that's not their job. I don't know why I post these reviews because the Rockets or REd and White don't seem to care.

Nice option to have a decent meal before the game, but don't expect anything out of this world. Let's hope Mr. Fertitta improves the quality once the contract with the current operator runs out.

The food was good, variety and excellent presentation. Self serve, some of the utensils were not helpful. The hostess Christy??, was on the job to check back and engage us as to our experience. Our server was attentive. We enjoyed our meal before the basketball game. Now if they only served a bag of popcorn to go:) .

Excellent food with wide variety of very healthy buffet fruit, salads, Jesus, entrees, and sides and vegetables. There is an adequate selection for vegetarians if desired. Servers are pleasant, when available, but are stretched too thin. Suggest asking for the check early if you want to get down to the floor for tip-off.

We took advantage of the Buffet before the game at the Red and White wine Bistro, our growing son ate his monies worth, three times back. The buffet staff was amazing. The prepared foods keep coming and was Hot and ready to serve each time we lined up. Our server was not very organized and assumed because we were having the buffet that we needed no additional attention. We would have ordered additional drinks if she visited more often. I am in the service industry and am happy to tip a hard worker. I was a little set back when our bill arrived and a gratuity of 18% was added to our bill. There were 6 of us eating. No were on the menu or at the reception desk did they state this was policy. We consider ourselves very generous tippers, but for the three times we saw our server over the hour we were there, it was not worth $60 that was added to our invoice. That adds up to $20 per visit. She greeted us and told us to take our plates to the buffet line, second she brought us the one round of drinks we ordered and the third time was to bring us our bill. For a $350 bill i expected a little more attention. We will be back because its a great place to go before the game and not have to deal with the pregame crowds, but i hope they read this and work on their service. Between the tickets for the game, dinner and snacks and drinks during the game it was a $1600 night for us. This was a really big deal for my family. My posting will not prevent us from going in the future, but the service could be better.

Also, please consider adding PIE to your desert options. The cookies and ice cream are great, but a little bite of Apple Pie with a scoop of ice cream on top would end the evening wonderfully.

Definitely go if you can afford the cost, great way to start the evening if your going to attend a game at the Toyota center.
