Great food and service..BYOB. outdoor dining
Great birthday experience! My first time there. Definitely returning! Loved the service food and ambiance !
Very nice place. Quite our door dining in the back. A fan will be helpful. It was way to hot and humid. Otherwise it was very nice. I gave 3 stars for food just because we had an issue with the gauc and the steak. Service was very very nice.
Rebecca’s consistently serves some of the best Cuban Cuisine in northern NJ. Service is always friendly and courteous. We have never had a bad experience over the past many, many years of dining here. The food is always prepared with care, always flavorful and always served hot from the kitchen. We look forward to our next visit.
Really good food at reasonable prices with a cute romantic ambiance in the patio room. Would recommend and go again!
Best Cuban restaurant ever!! Food quality is superb. Service is outstanding. Love this restaurant and go as often as possible
Rebecca’s was the perfect place to have Valentine’s Day dinner. It was intimate, the food was amazing, it’s BYOB and they even gave me a rose at the end of dinner. I would definitely go back
Rebecca's is small but AMAZING. We dined 2/15 (Day after Vday) and even though it was packed because it was a Saturday and the day after Vday, we were seated promptly for our reservation. Food and dessert were great and the staff was attentive and nice (Also can't beat a BYOB place :) ). Would absolutely recommend and we're absolutely coming back!
Valentine’s Day dinner. Had reservation for 9:30. Had to wait for over 1hr to be seated. When we did get seated waiter completely forgot about us for over 20 minutes. Had to get up and go to the front to inquire. Waiter was nice could be just an honest mistake. Took our orders from the menu and then comes back 10 minutes later to let us know that they don’t have a regular menu but rather a Valentine’s Day menu. I was like okay why didn’t you give us that menu and not take our orders. After our orders were taken food took a very long time to come. Overall we were in the restaurant for 4 hours. The silver lining is that the food was amazing!!! Perhaps it was just a Valentine’s Day thing and they didn’t have their act together. The waiter even though she messed up a bit was overly nice
It was extremely cold that day which is fine but they sat us in the back via restaurant extension. This is despite making a reservation weeks in advance. At any given time the temp was hovering around 55 F even with heaters. We waited a few minutes for a waiter but over 45 from them taking our order til our first appetizers. Then another hour for main course and 25 mins for desert. All while only seeing our waiter about three times. When asking for the bill she came and responded “oh I didn’t even know you had finished main course. “ To add even more it was BYOB but it was a forced prefixe menu in which the bill ended up coming out to over $75 per person without drinks. The food wasn’t terrible but definitely not worth the price,, temperature or wait. I wouldn’t recommend this place for any holiday event or anything you’re in a rush for.
Food was amazing service was a little slow but still great. My only complaint would be the valet parking was horrible, they had one driver to park it wasn’t fair to him. It was very hard to park forcing everyone to valet there car. In my option the restaurant it self was amazing but they need to hire more drivers for the valet.
My boss recommended this place to me. I love Cuban food and always up for trying new spots. The food was delicious and staff was very friendly. Definitely will be recommending this place and will be returning back.
I was celebrating my birthday with my family here and I was disappointed with the experience.
- To beginning with on the website there are instructions or information on parking. I had to call to find out that we would be able to park half a block up at a municipal parking place.
- As we walked up to the restaurant I noticed in front there was foul smelling water coming out of some pipe in front of the restaurant.
- When I made the reservations I specifically requested we NOT be seated next to the door and that's exactly where we were seated. All the tables that could accommodate 6 persons were taken.
- I wasn't greeted at all or asked who's birthday we were celebrating since it was noted on the reservations made
- After a few mins of being seated we began to smell that same odor we smelled outside, sewage. The smell came in waves.
- The bread given was not warmed and the butter was frozen.
- The water was nasty tasting, we assume it was sink water.
- We waited 30 mins for Appetizers and an 70 minutes for our entrees. Between the time waiting we literally sat there staring at the walls and each other and no extra bread or refills on out drinks were offered or given. After about 50 minutes the hostess came over to tell us the food would be out in 10mins well she lied it was 20 mins later.
- All of our entrees came out together and not everything was hot. And after an hour waiting that's pretty ridiculous. The side dishes that accompany the entrees were a very small portions. Two people ordered the tilapia that came with heart of palms salad and they both agreed the heart of palms wasn't good at all. The side of yuca was burnt but cold.
- We decided not to order desert because we didn't want to continue waiting. When the bill came we laughed and then were angry at the audacity to give themselves $35 tip. It was not deserved at all.
- A couple sat next to our table and they argued loudly obnoxiously next to us.
Overall, we all agreed we would not return.
The no parking was annoying and we waited over an hour for our food. There was a draft by our table and a sewer smell as you walk in the door. The food was good and service was ok, the restaurant is very nice. It wasn’t what I was expecting overall
The Apps, dessert and soup were delicious. The main course - not so much. The service was pretty slow but maybe on purpose to give us time? A very dark restaurant - probably better for date than family. The parking is atrocious. The servers were very nice.
Great place. Food and service was great and the BYOB feature is a plus.
Food was good as always. Service was slow at best. This was not the fault of the wait service. They can't serve what the kitchen doesn't give them. The issue was it's a small place and they had a couple of large parties and the kitchen couldn't get the food out in a timely manner. We waited over 45 minutes between appetizers and main course. However, the manager did give dessert, which was a nice thought.
We have been coming to Rebecca’s for the past 10 years and have found the staff most accommodating and friendly, the food outstanding on every visit and the atmosphere warm and inviting. They never fail and provide a consistently outstanding experience.
We will certainly return.
We had a very nice time! Food was excellent and the service was same. The only thing we weren’t too agreeable on was that the gratuity didn’t at least give customers an option to choose or made the choice of how much to tip. I feel if it had something like 20% or 25% with the total. It’s New Year’s Eve and we understand that employees had to work hard and we appreciate that but just a thought what if the service for some reason wasn’t satisfactory or didn’t go well? At least you still make a profit with the 20% and that’s mostly what customers would give. With that in mind everything else was great..
FABULOUS. This was one of the best New Years Eve I ever spent out. The price fix dinner was wonderful. Good choices.generous portions. Everything served well. And a champagne toast to boot. We always have a good meal and a good time here. I just loved the skirt steak and shrimp. But I love the legion and jerk chicken too.
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Rebecca's.
We look forward to being there again.
Made a reservation for my husband's birthday - noted when I made the reservation and was not acknowledged.
First, If you have a private party and can't serve other guests, have the courtesy to let guests know. It's called hospitality.
Second, they seated us near the door (30F), we asked to be moved.
We ordered a bottle of wine, a salad, and 2 entrees.
The bottle showed up, no offer to taste. Some average bread was also served.
20 minutes later, we had to inquire about the salad. A soggy house salad was served with watered down dressing.
25 minutes later, I walked to the main desk and requested our order be canceled and the check closed.
Not even an offer to comp the sorry excuse for a salad or the wine.
I'm glad we got to enjoy Hubby's birthday entree at a different restaurant where guests are valued.
We gathered for my girlfriend’s 35th birthday. This was also the first time I met her closest friends. Everyone had an exceptional time and the food was the star. She was so happy with everything and her friends loved every aspect of the environment, etc. We were running late to the reservation of course, and they were nothing but pleasant and accommodating the entire time. Rebecca’s is a local gem through and through. Thank you!
Red snapper, hearts of palm and avocado salad and speciality shrimp all excellent. would definitely dine there again and again
Great food and service and accommodating for small tweaks in the ingredients
Beautiful ambiance, loved the food and the intimate setting was amazing!
Very nice, romantic restaurant. BYOB. Food is excellent. Wish they had more specials. Courteous attentive service. Great place for a quite dinner.
When Rebecca's changed ownership about 7 mo. ago someone told us it had closed. And we didn't find out it was open until just recently. We were thrilled. Everything was excellent. We enjoyed the avocado and hearts of palm salad, the legion and dirty rice, the jerk chicken and yams. The key lime pie was to die for! Service was excellent. Prices were good. And it's a byob. Now that we know it's open we will be there often.
Beautiful lil gem. Food was delicious perfect for date night
Very attentive food was great and staff was accommodating
Hidden Gem food was amazing
We visited on a friday, 630pm. It was a good time, able to have a conversayion without having to yell to communicate. Sangri, plantains guac, shrimp, yams with coconut mash, ropa vieja. . Pretty awesome
Food was great, but we waited almost an hour for our appetizers, once we started eating it was good from there on.
Exceptional dinner as always! Great restaurant. Grilled shrimp is the best.
Rebecca’s never disappoints me. Had dinner on Saturday with my wife and a few friends. They had a birthday party so the back was very busy. Do to that event, our food was being delayed. But the gentleman that I think was the manager, came to our table and explained to us that they were running behind by 15 minutes or so. No big deal at all because the food was OUTSTANDING!!! Like always that is. Our friends had never been to Rebecca’s and fell in love with it. The service is above and beyond what anyone would expect. And the ambiance is perfect. Keep up the great work Rebecca’s. Definitely my favorite place.
The food was back up to previous standards when Rebecca herself was running the restaurant .Cuddos to the new owners!!
Rebecca's is one of my favorites. Vanessa and Angelo treated us like long time friends. It is jewel off the main road where the food and service are always excellent.
All was good however it took a long time for food to come out.
Food was good. The place is cool. Love the ambiance. Music great. Hospitality amazing. Our waiter was really in top of it. Knew when and what anything was needed. Highly recommend it I had the “churrasco” it was a little over cooked, it still amazing. My girlfriend had the salmon citrus. Portions are big so bring an appetite!
