Took my mon to lunch for her birthday and they really made her special. The food was outstanding. Their pecan biscuits are to die for! I had the Jalapeño Cilantro Soup, which was creamy and had avocado in it. I would go back for just that alone. The tenderloin tamales with pecan mash on top never disappoint. Mom picked out a dessert from their amazing selection and she chose the banana pudding. It was thicker than most and the bananas are diced small so as not to overwhelm. It was topped with a cinnamon shortbread star too and presented on a plate with "Happy Birthday" written in chocolate ganache. Oh so yummy!
Wanted to have a special dinner with mom. It was wonderful. Very happy with our experience.
Outstanding service by Joci! Thanks a lot for a wonderful night
Very nice place.
Our only problem was that when we ordered our a Fillet Mignon, we had extensive conversation with the waiter on how we wanted it cooked. My wife wanted it Rare. He talked her into a Medium Rare and she agreed. I ordered mine a Medium Rare also.
When it arrived at the table, it was a Well Done. They ruined two pieces of fillet.
Also, they put LOTS of pepper on the filets. We asked for very little pepper.
They arrived at the table with LOTS of pepper. We had to cut off the faces of the steak to get the seared pepper off.
Food was fantastic friendly quick service. Went to rooftop bar not enough tables and the host was horrible I saw him abusing a customer.
Love this place and the food. Priced right and you cant go wrong with any of the desert options. The fajitas are so tender and delicious.
Reata is one of my all time favorite restaurants. This was our first visit for brunch though and it was not disappointing. I ordered the Juevos Rancheros and my friend ordered the grilled cheese sandwich, which was not your ordinary grilled cheese! We had the dessert that came in the tamale husk and yowza, was that ever good! This is a great restaurant. From the moment you walk in to the moment you leave, it's a wonderful experience.
We enjoyed our anniversary dinner celebration at the Reata! The food was delicious and our server was very polite and efficient. We will be returning here in the future!
We used to include Reata as one of the restaurants for special occasions but will not do so anymore. The service was average at best, the food not what it used to be. We were here for our anniversary and had requested a rooftop table on the rail. I had to request to he rail when we were seated and was initially told no. That got resolved but hostess was not very accommodating. The food comes out so fast that trying to enjoy a nice evening is not possible as you feel rushed the entire time. Most fine dining establishments will inform the wait staff that it is a special occasion and you will be treated as such not the case here anymore.
Hopefully just a bad evening and not an issue with the restaurant all together. That being said we could have gone to chili’s and received the same level of food and service.
While the food was very tasty and cooked well, the service was not at the level for the price. For an anniversary, we were waiting so long at the end of the meal that we did not stay for the complimentary berries. All around us, service seemed high quality, but we were neglected.
My husband and I visit Reata frequently to celebrate our own anniversary/special occasions. We took my in-laws to celebrate their anniversary this past Saturday night. The staff was friendly as always & the food was excellent. My only issue was a “one time” thing with this visit. The service was much, much slower than normal. Our drinks came out fairly slow, our meal was maybe a little longer than average, but our dessert took 15+ minutes after we finished eating to have it offered & then over 20 minutes for it to come out. This is the first time we’ve ever had an issue with slow service.
Great menu - tho k it would hard to find a wrong choice. Enjoyed the food - bit over the top on the noise level.
Always a wonderful experience.
Always a favorite. Food is excellent. I had the snapper special and my son had the chicken fried steak both were very tasty.?
Great service and delicious food. Would definitely come back and try another item off their menu.
Wonderful evening at Reata! We came a little later than we usually arrive (730) and on a mid-week evening. We were surprised to find the restaurant so busy. We were seated at a window table for two (wonderful people watching location--both inside and along the street). Mayly was our server and she was personable, attentive without hovering, and very competent despite being relatively new to Reata. She did a great job!
Food, as it always seems to be at Reata, was great. Tonight we skipped the starters and went straight for the entrees, with a mind towards desserts. 14 oz ribeye is sort of my "go-to", tonight I had it sitting on their jalapeno cheese grits. The steak was done to perfection medium rare and the grits are fabulous. Mixed veggies tonight were green beans, carrots and peppers. They were fine although unspectacular. The other order was their tenderloin special for the evening: 6 oz beef tenderloin with a white cheese, poblano peppers, and bacon sauce (and maybe cumin rub?) and fried oysters. Also on a bed of cheese grits with a side of asparagus which was cooked perfectly. Both entrees were great.
Dessert was very good despite our initial disappointment that their seasonal cobbler was not yet Texas peaches--it was blueberry. Peaches here are in season and their peach cobbler is wonderful...the best dessert they offer. But it is only occasionally available. We instead opted for the apple crisp. Excellent on its own but it was served with a vanilla bean ice cream scoop drizzled with a smokey caramel sauce. Two spoons...one dessert. Outstanding again.
Another great night at Reata. Thank you Mayly for making our evening special. It is worth the drive from North Dallas.
We were celebrating my husbands birthday. We enjoyed our experience and will be back!
Wait staff was knowledgeable about specials and items on the menu. Our order was delivered to the table in a timely manner. Appetizer, main course and dessert were awesome. Great restaurant.
Got seats on the outdoor patio, the breeze made it comfortable. The food and cocktails exceeded expectations. I apologize for not remembering his name, but our waiter was very attentive. Great ambiance.
Great food and ambiance.
Food was great, service excellent, noise level in the dome was extremely to loud to fully enjoy our meal!! We wished we had been told this when we were given options on our seating arrangements.
This place has fallen from a great restaurant to comparable to chain place. Nothing we ordered was above average and it had to be 80 degrees inside. Never going back. So sad it was great in its day.
I've been to Reata before and loved it but this experience was not good. Our friends steak was horrible and he sent it back. The manager never came to apologize. And there was something wrong with the AC and it was hot. Staff said it had been that way all day.
Way too loud for that level of restaurant !
Not impressed at all
Excellent food, great atmosphere! Staff was on point! Will be back soon.
Good table location. Good food. Good wine. Good service.
Celebrated our 35th wedding anniversary. Food and service was amazing
The occasion was an outing with some friends. The experience was outstanding- food was good, service was outstanding. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Always the best
Our server was phenomenal! She truly helped to make this a wonderful anniversary dinner! We were unsure of the menu until she started describing everything and blew us away!
Food was good. Service was excellent. We where there for a anniversary and the whole staff was aware and was very nice and all told us happy anniversary. After 8:00 pm it cooled off on the roof so we went to the roof for desert and was very nice and the Vue was great. It's a definite place to go for a special day. Thank you
I've never been a fan of what I think is an extremely over rated restaurant. In my option the food choices are somewhat limited, and although the food itself is good, it lacks character. My mixed green salad with goat cheese and glazed pecans and white sherry dressing sounded good.. until it came out with two tiny dollops of goat cheese and not a pecan in sight! They remedied the situation but come on!! Service is an entirely different matter with "teams" taking care of you. Our primary server gave us less than 60 seconds of her time during the course of the evening and was completely inattentive, leaving a very accommodating male server to work this entire section of the restaurant alone! Unfortunately this has become a tourist trap off Sundance Square...
Always enjoy. We were there about 11a on a Sunday. Husband had stuffed French toast that was such a treat. I had lunch. So-so. I have ordered the tamale before and did again thinking I liked it. I don't. Others love it, but not my thing. Service with Justin above nice! Natch, we will go again. It is just so "fort worth".
We actually didn’t eat dinner. We got drinks on the roof top. Great atmosphere!! So we’ll be back to eat
Very friendly place and a great atmosphere. Our waitress was excellent and on top of her game. She did a good job of recommending sides since we don't eat meat, only fish. We had our wedding reception there last year, and this was our 1 year anniversary.
I’ve been wanting to go to Reata for 20 years, and it finally happened! The food and drinks were excellent. Steaks were cooked perfectly, and the goat cheese cakes and balsamic pearls were divine. Our server was kind and knowledgeable, although he did make a Holocaust joke (seriously) that was bizarrely inappropriate. The overall experience was a bit less polished than I expected, and the noise level was a bit high at times. The last half hour was unbearably hot! All in all, I would go back. I still need to try the amazing-looking chicken fried steak!
we had a great time and our waiter was great I do not remember his name but he was a very good waiter
