It’s one of the few steakhouses in town where I feel comfortable (and welcomed) taking children

We went to celebrate a Birthday. The food was very good. Nice ambiance. I recommend eating upstairs on the patios. We went up after dinner and regretted not eating up there! Nice fun venue!

One of my favorite places to meet with friends or have a business dinner. Always a great atmosphere and the view from the roof top of Sundance Square is spectacular, no matter what the season.

The Sundance Square area of Ft Worth is a noble attempt at creating a downtown scene out of an otherwise homogeneous city. Reata was recommended to us because we wanted to try Buffalo steaks.

The place is done up like one would expect from a cowboy themed steak house in Texas, which wasn't a bad thing. The steaks and sides were delicious. The staff was very attentive and informative. Dining here was one of the true pleasures we'll take back with us.

There was little need for a reservation. We found all of the Sundance Square area to be wide open Monday - Thursday evenings. The area gets some lunch rush from local businesses but after 6PM a lot of things start to close up and the people disappear. A big convention might change the atmosphere but we were able to walk right in and get immediate seating everywhere up through 9PM any night.

Food and service cannot compare. We were over the top thrilled by our dining experience. We will certainly be back. Ann took very good care of us, as did all the staff. Food was amazing. Best dining experience we have had in a long time.

The staff would not qualify to work a taco stand. My friend ordered her tenderloin medium, it arrived rare, then the staff could not figure out how to take it back. My lady friend was forced to move her steak to a waiting plate held by a staff member who remarked that she might bite his hand off. The steaks return held no reward either now it was black on the outside and still rare. Ordeal enough I think not, because we said anything we were acousted by the manager who had the wrong attitude.

We ate here for our anniversary this past Saturday. We had an early reservation (5:30) and were sat immediately, and the staff was wonderful. Everyone we encountered was friendly, smiling, helpful. Our server was great. The food was wonderful, from our appetizers to dinner and dessert. I don’t think you could order anything bad here, it’s all delicious. They made our anniversary very special, and we’ll definitely be back!

We enjoyed Easter brunch/lunch at Reata. The food was fantastic and we were offered entrees you cannot get at other restaurants (the pork shank was out of this world). Our two teenage daughters joined my wife and I and everyone had a fun experience.

We love Reata and feel it is truly a Fort Worth experience. However, the food is a unique. If you have a playful and interesting palate, this is the place for you; but I would not recommend if you don't like to experiment with flavor profiles. Onion rings and chicken fried steak are fantastic for those who want to stay in their comfort zone. But I would recommed to try other things. We will continue to return.

We enjoyed a casual Easter lunch, as a family, in their upstairs Dome area. It's a terrific space to feel like you're outside even though the area is enclosed under a glass geodesic dome. It would have been even nicer on their open terrace, given the pleasant weather that day, but that area was full. Good homestyle food, good service (very country--polite manners and all), and lovely view around central downtown from the upstairs areas. It's a Fort Worth classic that delivers what you would expect from a traditional Texas restaurant. We enjoy it every time.

Fantastic rooftop views. I took my fiancé here to celebrate her birthday and it was amazing. The food, the ambience, the service were all top notch. Would definitely recommend for any special occasion; the prices were high but well worth it.

Our favorite is their tortilla soup. It is so flavorful and comforting that you feel like Mom made it.
The service is friendly but not overbearing which is very important to us.
We always try to order something different when we go and have never been disappointed in anything on the menu.

We sat on the rooftop for our 10 year anniversary. The view and weather were great! Our server was Sharon, she was polite and informative, considering it was our 1st visit. Since it was our anniversary she brought out a Happy Anniversary card signed by her and the whole wait staff. Then after our dinner she brought out a delicious chocolate, strawberry, cookie dessert that had Happy 10 year Anniversary written around the outside of the plate. Nice Touch! Our app and dinner were super tasty as well! It was the perfect place to spend our anniversary and I would highly recommend Reata any day of the week!

Outdoor seating was very nice with the exception of the cigarette smokers. Food was was not served hot. I think proximity to kitchen for outdoor dining is an issue. This is the first time I left Reata thinking that this experience just wasn’t up to par. We’ll return but probably eat in the main dining area.

I've now been twice to Reata, both times with reservations.

The first time was on a Friday night and I received very good service and had great food. It was my birthday and I recieved what was paid for and I was very impressed.

The second time was on a Saturday night, and my expectations fell short. We had to wait 20 minutes for our reservation, and getting to our table was confusing because the hostest called to tell me my table was ready, to grab any server on the 4th floor, but there was no server available. I asked for the hostess's name but she would not give it. I finally asked for the manager who sat us immediately. The rest of the service from our waitress was average, though, she was managing a large party and our table, so I understand that she was facing some difficulties. I think that was an oversite on the management at Reata, which is unfortunate because Reata fell short for me the last time I went. I highly doubt I will return to Reata on my volition.

Great service! Our waiter was so knowledgeable about the food and the restaurant’s history. Our appetizer (stuffed jalapeños) blew me out of the water. My main dish (carne asada enchiladas) was not necessarily the best; the enchilada tortillas were stale. The margarita as delicious! Overall great experience.
