I prefer Sunday brunch or lunch. Seems the menu is better served. Menu is rather limited at dinner and quite a bit more expensive. Special grits are spectacular! Game food at season wonderful; duck comes to mind!
The atmosphere was cozy with a good menu and the food was very tasty. Not to mention, the waitress Denise was engaging, friendly, kind and helpful! It’s definitely worth the drive from DeSoto, TX! Highly recommended!
It was a nice experience with great food for the occasion.
It was my wife's birthday. Our waiter was outstanding taking care of everything we needed. We will definitely return.
This is not the first time to Reata, in fact my wife and I have been coming here since we moved back to Texas in 2011. While that isn't a terribly long time, we have NEVER been unhappy with the service, the food, the restaurant staff in general, and it has always exceeded our expectations. This is by far my favorite restaurant. I was particularly pleased because they had a hard to find wine that I've wanted for sometime. If you want an exceptional experience, you want to go to Reata. Justin was our waiter and he was absolutely wonderful. Anticipated our needs without hovering at the table. All food was served hot and fresh. No sitting in a window waiting to be delivered to the table. They are the best.
A minimum dress code would be nice. Some patrons arrived in cut off shorts and tank tops. Since I brought out-of town guests, it lowered the impression I had given them of a classy Texas-style venue
Great experience but you're partially paying for the ambiance. If you're okay with that you'll definitely enjoy the rooftop patio. Food was great but we will probably keep hitting other restaurants based on food value.
Reata is our go-to restaurant when we have out-of-town company. We love the ambiance as well as the food and service. I had the duck breast with flash-fried spinach and cheddar grits this time. Reata always meets our Texas dining expectations.
Reata has always been a favorite restaurant. However, on this particular Thursday night the meal felt very rushed. The restaurant was not crowded and appetizer, drinks, and meal arrived to the table within 15 - 20 minutes. The appetizer arrived before the drinks, and the entre arrived shortly after the appetizer, and we did not get to really even taste/enjoy appetizer. In my view, I feel that one slower nights having a more relaxed/slower dinner service would have made the evening much better.
Great service, food was awesome!
Another great evening at Reata. Weekday at 7PM. Fabulous weather so we got a table on the rooftop patio and experienced the sunset as we ate. Service was excellent from hostesses at desk to wait staff (stephen). We had a leisurely dinner and were not rushed to "turn the table". Ordered appetizer of bacon wrapped crab stuffed jalapenos--three large peppers stuffed with crap mix wrapped in smokey bacon (EVRYTHING is better with bacon). They were great...first time trying those. Entrees: chicken fried steak--partner says it is the best in DFW. Served with cheese grits and special requested flash fried spinach. It is a weekend special but the chef said he could do it midweek. Other entree was charbroiled ribeye cooked med rare (warm red center). Also served with the grits and spinach. Desserts are great at Reata but we skipped tonight. All in all, another 5-star performance for Reata. We will be back.
in Fort Worth only one night and wanted to make sure we got a special meal..knew we could count on Reata!
Worst dining experience in a long time. Every dish was lukewarm at best. Bland flavors for the most part. Flavor of jalapeño soup was good, but it was cold. Cheese enchilada on the Carne Asada was hard and cold. Kid's fries were cold. Not sure how this restaurant gets good reviews.
It was outstanding.
It was out 25th wedding anniversary. We had made a regular reservation but found out from the Bar staff that we could sit on the roof top patio area and they were more than accommodating and got us a nice table.
My wife an I love the Reata. It is an exceptional example of the local Fort Worth food scene at its best.
We came here on the recommendation of a friend while we were in FW. We ended up going to the restaurant rather than the rooftop bar, and we had an fantastic time.
The food was excellent, and the ambiance definitely made it a competitor to, say, the capital grille in DC. The service was far and away better however, as were the food options. Our server Nick was attentive without being overbearing. The best way to describe the service is "detail oriented without being pompous". Our busboy even took out a pen light to help verify that my steak was cooled to my preference.
Afterwards we went to the rooftop bar to look around. The view of FW was wonderful and is definitely a place to go to if you're looking for a bar scene.
If you visit FW, visit Reata. While jeans and cargo pants are okay, make sure to wear a collared shirt. It's a hair pricy, but I recommend it without reservation.
My husband and I travel a lot and this was one of the best restaurants we’ve been to. Excellent food and overall experience. This was our first time in Fort Worth and everyone was so welcoming. They gave us a handwritten card with places to visit and things to do. This is a must if you are in Fort Worth and want a real Texas experience.
Friendly, knowledgeable staff exhibited fantastic teamwork in serving delicious food. Hostess and waiter were full of compliments as well as recommendations
Great food and interesting atmosphere. Combine that with an extremely hospitable staff and the kind anniversary note they left and it was an amazing experience!
Food was excellent and my guests were very impressed with food, decor and service.
Authentic western atmosphere.
We were seated promptly at our reserved time.
It was a wonderful date with fantastic service and the perfect ambiance. The waitress was sweet, peppy, fast, polite, and very knowledgeable and helpful. Overall perfect experience. 💗
Had some people visiting from out of town so I had to bring them here! We all got steak - filet and ribeye. Filet was delicious but the ribeye was a little too fatty. We sat on the rooftop and had a beautiful view of downtown.
Our first visit and everything was excellent! Our waiter Kyle was great and the food was delish. The bacon and jalapeno Mac and cheese was to die for! The Clearfork limeade was so good.
Wonderful food and great service once again. Reata is one of my favorite FTW restaurants.
Food was average. Wedge salad was huge, with a lot of hard inedible pieces. We both had specials. The filet was cooked correctly with three small shrimp scampi at $42. The red snapper was good but covered with a cream sauce that didn’t enhance the taste. Snapper grilled would’ve been tasty. Mashed potatoes and spinach were fine as sides. House margarita was fine-cost $11. All in all an average meal at a nicely decorated restaurant with good service.
Great place to eat, steak are perfectly cooked and super tender.
Excellent staff. Taylor and Jane were awesome ambassadors!
The food was great... the service was amazing! Our wait staff was very knowledgeable and very attentive.
First class service, excellent regional food, and beautiful facility.
Wonderful place to meet friends & enjoy a meal. Can’t say enough about the wait staff - they were superb! The food was scrumptious & dessert was a difficult choice! Have also experienced the Reata in Alpine - also an exquisite place to dine.
Had a great 3rd aniversary dinner with friends! They gave us our own private room for a party of 6. Our server was funny and did a great job!
Went with my wife for the 18th Anniversary of our first date. Arrived early for our reservation and they seated us within 30 minutes in a busy Friday evening. Food was excellent and the service superb.
They surprised us with a complimentary dessert after the meal.
We will definitely return soon!
Food and service were phenomenal as always! Never had a bad experience at Reata!!
We came for my son’s 22nd birthday. The service and food were both excellent, as always!
Outstanding food with the best service & ambiance in the Metroplex! Romantic, fun and delicious.
Dinner at Reata was great as usual. The food always has great flavor and is prepared well. Only complaint was the tortilla soup was not hot this time. tasted great but only luke warm. Service was outstanding as always.
Great restaurant recommended by hotel. Great service, great food and great atmosphere!
Great service! Amazing food! This was great dining for a business lunch.
Sharon was outstanding with her service. Food was great!
