Every part of our dining experience was amazing. Each individual working there was exceptional, especially our waitress. She was extremely knowledgeable of the menu and did a phenomenal job. 10/10 recommend the Reata for a date night out!

Service was good and ambiance was nice. Valet was $23 and could not be validated. Food was okay, but for the cost I would likely choose other places over this.

Went there for our Anniversary. Got to see Momma Reata (Jane). Haven’t seen her last few times due to COVID. Was great to have Bonnie as a truly exceptional wait person. She was very attentive and timely. Highly recommend her. Had the fish special was awesome also had the beef special which was incredible. Never go wrongs without the chef specials here.

Service was down right awful. I have never had such poor service at Reata before. Then there was the food. Very poor. The Tenderloin Tamales were over cooked. The Masa was dry
And hard in places. My 14oz Ribeye Chefs Special was ok. The Mash potato’s on the plate were dry and bland as if they were made at lunch and left over for dinner the Asparagus was small and pale and undercooked and the Seafood Enchilada on top… no flavor and not good.
We wanted to have dessert and after asking to see the dessert presentation 4 times and 30 mins later, we said just bring us the check so we will not be late for our after dinner show.

Very Texas atmosphere. You could be comfortable in both nicely casual or dressy clothing. Greeted by smiling hostesses. Waitstaff professional, happy, made great suggestions. Tenderloin chili was excellent as was Buffalo burger. Spouses taco was excellent. Loved the take home boxes. Made leftovers seem special the next day

Both food and service were excellent. We were going to Bass Performance Hall afterward dinner and forgot to bring the required face masks for the performance so out waiter went the extra mile to round some up for us.

Very disappointed -- really was looking forward to taking a client to eat and the food was not anything what it used to be - my tenderloin was sent back - it was not prepared properly and we ended up canceling that order - the other 2 orders the meat was tough and the food was not very warm - the apple crisp and banana pudding had no flavor and was very bland - the icing on the cake was the $28.00 valet charged --- really sad that Sundance is becoming a ghost town and the Reata is just not what it used to be --

We've been going to Reata for years. It still ranks up there on the list of nice places to go in Ft Worth for dinner. To be honest, I actually had made reservations at two other restaurants -one that we had never been t and I wanted to check out. The other we have been to a few times and were always extremely pleased. My wife wanted to go to Reata because, in the past, she remembers them having good gluten-free bread. I canceled the other reservation and went to Reata. Not only did they not have it, but our waiter also said he could not remember them ever having it. Maybe our memories failed us, but that was why we changed from the other restaurants. In our mind, Reata had recognized that there was a population that ate gluten-free. The tenderloin tamales were excellent. My steak was excellent. The potatoes and vegetables were tasty but too cool. Unfortunately, the breadbasket contained bread whose crust was dry. Will we eat there again? I'm sure we will, but I think I'll give the other restaurants I had made reservations at a chance before going back. Reata has been an institution for excellent steaks, and I hate that it seems to be losing some of its luster. The creme brulee was, as usual, excellent!

We loved dining at Reata last night. It started with our waitperson Jessica who was wonderful! Her suggestions For food, and dessert were right on. We had not told anyone it was our 47th Anniversary and when she realized this, our dessert became even more special and Jessica even presented us with an Anniversary card with everyone’s signatures on it.
What a special evening we had💕

Reata is one of our favorite “go tos” in downtown Ft Worth! If there are any issues, they are quickly resolved by management. Given today’s service industry challenges, the occasional issue is expected.

My husband and I came here for our anniversary last night, 1/3/22. Madelyn was our server. She was absolutely amazing!! She got me single shot of Eagle Rare bourbon which I had been wanting for a while.. She also altered my plate for me because what I wanted had shrimp, and I have an allergy. Food was amazing as always. I love this place!

Arrived 30 minutes prior to reservation, welcome was typical and courteous, but nothing ecstatic. Host staff was friendly, but it was apparent rushed/busy. I had to request the bar on 3rd floor to wait (which is outdoors) and much more lively than indoor bar. Seating was actually five minutes early-very nice. Our waiter was friendly, courteous, but later would push the limit by appearing to rush the service. Example, the old presentation of the check routine BEFORE requested. Sad, and quite frankly, rude! Menu was preset (typical for NYEs), but strictly enforced. Asked to substitute risotto for mashed potatoes due to allergy. Was told, “sorry, no substitutions.” Really? Come on Reata! For $75s a plate and no substitutes of a side item? No fault to waiter, but now apparent management was more focused on “get’um in, get’um out” strategy. Later, noticed signature breads was on other tables, but not ours. Asked for bread and was told, “not part of preset menu, but would make exception.” Again, management bean counters hard at work. Finally, dessert, two choices. Menu stated, “raspberry chocolate cream brûlée” as one option. Was informed by waiter, actually chocolate brûlée, no raspberry. Well, looks like the bean counter management staff slipped on this one. Being NYE’s went with the flow and tipped waiter fairly-not his fault. Overall, Reata has slipped and lost its original focus on total customer satisfaction. Instead, now appears focused upon strict guidelines, squeezing a penny, with no lateral room to please customers. Sadly, only 3-Stars (being generous as I recall the good old days). No recommendations unless the old faithful Reata is permitted to revive.

Requested a specific table and had to wait 30 min past reservation time. Ordered the elk and was served a ribeye. Sea bass was over cooked, risotto was al dente and dessert was taken to go due to long wait.

Not the greatest service to start out and service was somewhat slow. I have had better my other times to Reata. Also, my steak was well undercooked when I ordered it medium plus and had to be sent back. Overall decent experience but not good.

It was good. The tamale appetizer was large and the masa was flavorful. Had the lunch pork tacos, I just wish I would’ve knew that there was a sweet bbq sauce on them beforehand. And the rice was not mentionable. You could tell it was some 5 minute bag rice with added vegetables and seasoning. But I don’t regret the visit, the staff was very pleasant and the ambiance was nice. The Christmas tree was fabulous. Thank you for being open for us on Christmas Eve. We hope your staff is having a great Christmas off. I hope you don’t judge my criticism harshly. I just wanted you to know my honest assessment. Thank you.
