We had an incredible meal. Service was outstanding. Atmosphere was beautiful.
Overall the food was good as usual. However the waiter we had seemed to be overworked and distracted. When he spilled my wife’s drink on the table he had a attitude when asked to clean up the spill which was even noticed by my kids. He was very blunt and seemed very uninterested in our table.
Celebrating a birthday, great treat that her meal was free. Party of 3 and everyone enjoyed their meals, great cream burlee'. Overall enjoyable meal.
Was there for my birthday- reserved a table early and requested window view of the water. This was not honored— waitress seemed rushed and not very attentive; e.g. refilling water, bread, drinks. Did absolutely nothing special for my birthday. For the price, food fair at best.
Quality has steadily diminished. Prior visit during Lobster Fest the food was mediocre at best. Swordfish this visit was over cooked and overseasoned.
Mother’s Day, everything was great! Ashley, our server was awesome.
Always a very nice experience and meal. We make sure we dine here several times a year.
As always, eating at Real Seafood is indeed a pleasue and a treat. The service and food were outstanding and we look forward to another visit in the immediate future!!
Our waiter was Eric and he was outstanding. He was very attentive to our needs while we were dining. Food was great, we have never been disappointed.
Went for lunch just 2 of us I had a Greek chicken salad and a water other person and salmon and asparagus and a side salad no alcohol was ordered bill was over $50. Very pricey
Always great food and service. Never disappointed here.
Our seafood and steak were all delicious. Server did a great job. Will go back soon.
Always a winner for a nice meal, good service and good cocktails.
Terrible food with no taste, the chef did not perform to my expectations.
Great service from staff. I reserved ahead of time and had zero issues when I walked through the front door. The food was worth what it’s listed at, and not pretentious at all. Great job, guys.
Food was delicious service outstanding I would recommend it
Nothing special. Felt like a very overpriced Applebee’s. Save your money and find something local. Plus my dishes were dirty, not as nice as you would think for the cost.
The Calamari appetizer has been better in the past, but was still good. We noticed the portion is smaller than it used to be, but always felt it was too large before. Scallops were great, Lake Perch perfect as usual. Salmon delicious and our friend that had Shrimp Fetucinni never said a word until he finished the whole plate!
You just can't go wrong here. It's always great, and if it isn't they fix it immediately!
Food was amazing. The server was not great. She forgot to ask for the side dish for one persons meal in the group and despite them ordering anyway they never got. She forgot to tell another person that they had blue cheese coleslaw with the meal and option to upgrade to salad or soup. That person cannot eat coleslaw and that’s what they got. There were three separate bills at our table. One had a bottle of wine that two people shared who had separate bills and one clearly ordered it stating on my bill, then there was an appetizer that was split by the table but told to be ordered to one bill. When the checks can the bottle of wine and the appetizer were split between the bills versus put on the bills who ordered them with instruction of what bill to put it on. Additionally one of the checks did not have the wine on their bill when they handed over their card to pay and when it came back to sign the receipt the wine split was added increasing the original bill. Loved the food. The experience was the worst we have ever had here.
We had a great time and James was wonderful and will recommend to friends!
We were celebrating our anniversary and received great service.
Has parking right in front of the restaurant, which is a plus. They saved us a table by the fireplace, which I loved.
Wine by the glass for Cab was a thin selection. Tuna tartar on top of guacamole was very good.
The crab cake was very good, big lumps of crab with very little is any filling.
Jumbalia was very good, could use a little more heat, but I think that is a personal preference, not the fault is the restaurant.
The server's shirt was 2 sizes too big, gave him a sloppy/unkept appearance. And he seems too involved in reciting the specials than to take our orders. But he was cordial.
Overall, a great meal. This place is much better than their sister place in downtown Ann Arbor.
Will be back
Service was outstanding and restaurant is different and a classy local spot.
I love Real Seafood. The wait staff are excellent, the atmosphere is great, and the food is excellent!
Great food and service as usual. Menu affordable and swordfish is good.
Disappointed that with my opentable reservation, I requested “a booth, not by the bathrooms”. They put us at a table, right next to the bathrooms. We asked to be re-seated and after another short wait, we were brought to a booth, not by the bathrooms!
The food was great & our waitress was wonderful. I wonder if the hostess does not have access to the requests a customer makes on open table, or ignored it.
Lovely setting and good selection. Service was excellent!
We ordered the lobster bites as an appetizer, which were tasty. I had the jambalaya which was fastastic, but my husband's scallop entrée was overcooked. Overall, a very good experience.
My husband's meal was comp'ed because he was so disappointed. He got the paella, which included lobster instead of double shrimp (not as advertised on the menu), and the dish's lobster and chicken were both overcooked to the point of being inedible. There was also sand in my clam chowder and pin bones in my flounder. The only side that has any effort in making, the Mexican street corn, needed salt. However, their Lake Erie Martini was good. Not returning.
We ordered Lobster Bites and Calamari as appetizers. Both came out hot and were very good. Clam chowder soup was also tasty, but the cole slaw must be an acquired taste because we did not like it at all. For our meals, I had grilled swordfish and my wife had king crab legs. Both were overcooked. The sword fish was very dry, and while there may have been a VERY light drizzle of some butter sauce on it (I'm not really sure if it was there), it certainly lacked flavor. I thought the portion was rather small. The crab legs were huge, but again they were so overcooked that the meat was rubbery and tough. Given the prices ($25 for sworfish, $45 for crab legs), expected much better preparation.
However, service was great and the atmosphere of the restaurant is very nice. It's a bit noisy (at least where we were sitting), but not so loud that we had any difficulty speaking to each other.
Hubby’s birthday dinner. Food was good, but we felt a little rushed. Ordered chowder and salads came before we finished it. Then food came right away. Disappointed you don’t get to chose your free dessert any more.
My reservation said special occasion, we told the hostess and server it was an anniversary and neither said much other than, Oh. We were never asked about it by our server nor was it acknowledged after or when dinner was complete. Never. Food was good, not great. Overall disappointing.
As usual, the food was excellent, the service attentive without being intrusive and the riverfront was beautiful. (I thought the crab cakes had just a little bit more filler than in the past, but they were still excellent - the closest to Baltimore's we have had elsewhere.)
Crab stuffed lobster tails were magnificent!! Great service and food!
Birthday dinner w out of town guests. Two pieces of fish seemed old on the ends but the middle was fine so we did not send it back. Everything else was superb
HAVE BEEN DINING THERE FOR YEARS-FOOD WAS ALWAYS EXCEPTIONAL. THIS LAST TIME THE STEAK WAS ROTTED . DISGUISTING-WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN
The crab cakes were tender & sweet. The Mexican Street Corn was delicious. Our server was very well informed and provided us with tidbits of interesting information on local cuisine. Love dinners at Real Seafood!
This is a nicely appointed restaurant located on the banks of the Maumee river. The menu features a wide selection of fish, seafood and steaks. Large assortment of appetizers, salads and healthy options. In other words, something for everyone.
The weather was dreary on the day of our visit, but there was a cozy fire inside. There is outside seating but not on this day. It has to be spectacular in summer though.
Our server was excellent, food was delivered promptly, at the right temperature and attractively plated.
I took my girlfriend out for a late birthday dinner
One of our favorite places to eat in Toledo...always great food and staff is excellent!
We love it here!!! Not only for special occasions but for anytime.
