Real Seafood Company - Naples Ratings and Reviews
It was our second visit: the first was last fall during restaurant week, we loved it. This time was so so, prices high. My grouper (roasted) was goos, my wife's (grilled) was dry. Appetizer (salmon/crab) looked spectacular on the picture, not in real life, not tasted that great either. Attitude was corporate, I hate when manager asks "was your food very delicious?" suggesting your answer. It was just okay.
The first time I had dinner here, it was wonderful. This time the food was horrible. Everything was overcooked and dry. So over priced for what was received.
This tells me there is inconsistency. The worst thing to say about a restaurant in my opinion.
With that said- our server was great.
Best meal we have had there. Miso sea bass was delicious and my friend always orders the Parmesan crusted lemon sole. Very enjoyable meal and we were seated at a table in main dining area but against a wall so it seemed quieter than usual. Also very attentive waiter.
We went to Real Seafood for my birthday. The twin lobsters my friend had were very good. My steak and whole maine lobster combo was OK. The steak was a little too well done and the lobster was good, not great. The next time I will get the combo with lobster tails. Didn't know I good change it until I asked the server. The server was excellent. She didn't rush us and came by to check on us during the meal. We will go back but I would order differently the next time. The best thing was that it was 50% off the bill for two people when it is your birthday. But, make sure you bring your ID.
We used to go there more often. It is a great place if you love oysters and lobster. In that regard, they are still really good. Lately, the service is lacking. Used to be way better. Looks like they employ a bunch of inexperienced and overwhelmed personnel. Overall, it wasn't bad but nothing to write home about.
Everything was great with just one exception... The ladies room was definitely in need of a cleaning! Hopefully that level of cleanliness didn't reflect the kitchen?
That aside, we would go back again... Food was good, portions great and service excellent... full five stars would take a thorough cleaning in lavatories.
We’ve been to this restaurant before and it was ok, we thought we’d try it again. My first comment concerns the bar. The cost of the drinks are high and they do a poor job of making a good cocktail. My Manhattan was not good at all and the one I got at the table was even worse. My wife’s shrimp was good, my jambalaya was ok, more like soup than true jambalaya. The shrimp in the dish were so small that you couldn’t even find them. Maybe it was an off night, too many good restaurants around to try it again any time soon.
Resort/3rd Street/ 5th Ave prices for mediocre cuisine. The food was certainly not bad, but it wasn’t great. In my opinion, there are bunch better dinning options - either less expensive for the same quality of dinning experience, or much higher quality for the same price.
We were their for their early dining menu which includes a glass of wine and a 3 course meal including dessert. The entree is a smaller portion which is the perfect size for most diners. As usual, the quality and flavor of their food was top notch. We will be back frequently this winter season.
Very disappointed in the service. Went to celebrate my birthday and because it wasn't EXACTLY on my bday, YES THEY ID'd me, they wouldn't give us the birthday promotion. That's pinching pennies and terrible customer service. Dinner was over $250 and they can't afford to celebrate a birthday a couple days later? I believe Applebee's doesn't even require you to be ID'ed for your birthday.
On top of that parts of the meal were also forgotten (side dishes).
