Real Seafood Company - Naples Ratings and Reviews
Expectations for Real Seafood is always high. Some issues this time. The Grouper was so over done it was inedible. We did point this out to the waiter, and it was replaced with management apologies. My Parmesan Encrusted sole was also very over done. Did not return it, as it was still enjoyable.
Overall, not a big deal, we still had a delightful evening with good friends in a nice restaurant.
First time visiting Real Seafood after hearing positive comments. My husband's stuffed salmon was excellent. My kale quinoa salad was not very flavorful. Our friends both had different preparations of the sea bass. Neither were impressed.
The restaurant was comfortable and service was good.
We enjoyed our dinners, the appetizers and entrees were very good.We had swordfish, sole, mahi-mahi .. all cooked perfectly. Sides were a little predictable, but still well done. The alacarte Mexican corn side was exceptional. The service however was slow , indifferent attitude, but adaquate... had a nice time, maybe a little pricey for portions and atmosphere. Wouldn’t put it on top of my list but won’t cross it off either..
Decided to try the Early Fare menu as it appeared to be a terrific value. However, this was not the case. The restaurant did not disclose that the entrees were a half portion. A simple notation on the menu would be easy, and it would inform their customers what they are getting for their money. I will not be going back to Real Seafood ever again. I do not like the feeling of being misled.
The restaurant is within walking distance and we have eaten here many times. We have never had a bad experience in all the years that we have been coming.
This time it was a special occasion, a birthday, and the deal that the restaurant offers is very good.
Great food, nice setting, excellent service.
We went for seafood and were not disappointed. The crab stuffed sole was very good and the paella was also good although the shrimp and the clams were a bit overcooked. Service was excellent but the waiter raved about the "hummingbird" cake however when we came to dessert both we and the waiter found out it was no longer offered. So we were disappointed and the waiter was apologetic. We will return.
We were in the area in time to take advantage of the early dining menu. One of us had the shrimp scampi, the other the lemon sole. Both were served with nicely seasoned mashed potatoes and green beans, the scampi combined with artichokes and red peppers in a delicate sauce. Would have preferred the sole in a lighter crust, but it was tasty, the portion size sufficient but others may find it a bit small. Two house wine choices were included in the prix fixe and served in generous 8 oz. portions.
We were graciously welcomed and the observant hostess directed us to a booth convenient to the entry, very considerate given a minor mobility issue. Service was attentive and impeccable without being intrusive.
The server we had was really not to our expectation.
Had to ask 3 time for a glass of ice.....
Had to wait to order my wine because she was busy serving the mens drink at our table......
Forgot to give my freinf her doggybag.....had a new orger made.....
Altoghether not impressed by the service and she was training some one.......go figure.
This was not our first visit...we always had a great experience...until now.
It was a Sunday eve., out of every entree we choose..inexperienced waiter...were even out of the Scotch our friend ordered. We were embarrassed to have brought them there.
Don't know whether I will return...They did however give is a bit of a discount because of the fiasco!!
Sorry Real Seafood but this night was a bust. It was my birthday so we looked forward to the free dinner but it really wasn't worth it. The potatoes on all three plates were not even warm, the green beans on my plate and my husband's were so undercooked that we left most of them on our plates. We like crisp but these were almost raw. Bread was brought, 3 small chunks, at first and we were promised more with our meals. That never happened. The inner dining room was full when we arrived but it looked like most people had their food. We were seated to the left of that room and service was extremely slow. We were thoroughly disappointed and decided that even if my meal was free it was not a pleasant experience and we wouldn't repeat it.
Have eaten here twice in last week. Excellent gazpacho - freash and best in town with option to and crab and shrimp. Paella is most interesting thing in menu with 1/2 lobster, clams, mussels, chicken and chorizio over rice all cooked authentically together and compares to dish I had in Barcelona! Great service, and multiple interesting preps of many local and distant fresh fish. Fried perch tasted just like perch we catch in Michigan's cold waters. Great desserts as well,
My wife and I have visited the Real Seafood Company for many years. The food is great and the service is very good. The restaurant gives you 50% off your bill for your birthday. The cocktails are well priced and good size. A very good place for dinner anytime.
Our Early Fare dining was amazing! The three of us all had something different and each one was delicious. You can't beat the value - starter, entree, and dessert, plus a glass of wine for $25. Waiter was very attentive and helpful. Would definitely go again!
Decent ! Decent food decent service decent ambience but pricey for the overall quality. Restaurant was almost empty when we were there. Lots of other options for dining in the area many of which offer specials during the off-season and are rewarded with patrons.
The restaurant was not busy...however, our service was a bit sketchy....waited a long time
for each course... Never saw the entire bill as we put in our credit cards together to share the total cost and we each got a separate bill so couldn't decide if our "birthday gal" got a free dinner ( as advertised for a birthday) or not, as our individual bills were rather high...
Probably won't go back again.
