Real Seafood Company - Naples Ratings and Reviews
It was our first visit to this restaurant and we had a mixed experience. We were seated at a table by the hostess, but it was very close to the door and it was quite cold outside so the cold air was coming right at us. We requested a change of table, and since it was early, and there were many empty tables, it was not a problem to move us. The second table was much better. Our server, Greg, was excellent and very knowledgeable. The food was excellent, although the kitchen was quite slow. We waited a long time for our entrees. We didn’t mind though because we were enjoying our friend and family’s company. All five of us chose the Restaurant Week special. For the price it was a very good value. I would definitely go again.
The Lobster Bisque is just outstanding. The Lake Erie Perch diner is also really great every time. The caesar salad was fine but need some cracked black pepper, wasn't offered by the server. The coconut shrimp was slightly over done and kind of dry this time. Overall, we really like this restaurant and dine there often. Service is good and the selections are wonderful and plentiful.
We will be back.
The food was fantastic but the service was very slow. It took the waiter 15 minutes just to come by for our initial drinks. He would disappear for long periods of time. Also, the restaurant seemed to close at 9pm when the hours are to be open until 11pm on a Saturday evening.
Another great meal, and a real plus it being Restaurant Week. Three (3) course meal a bargain at $35 per person. We started off with Oysters Florentine, followed by a 1 1/4 pound lobster, cracked by the staff at your table. Finished off with Key Lime pie, or cheesecake. Our waiter Kevin is a real pro. Hard to beat this restaurant or a night out like this.
Expectations for Real Seafood is always high. Some issues this time. The Grouper was so over done it was inedible. We did point this out to the waiter, and it was replaced with management apologies. My Parmesan Encrusted sole was also very over done. Did not return it, as it was still enjoyable.
Overall, not a big deal, we still had a delightful evening with good friends in a nice restaurant.
First time visiting Real Seafood after hearing positive comments. My husband's stuffed salmon was excellent. My kale quinoa salad was not very flavorful. Our friends both had different preparations of the sea bass. Neither were impressed.
The restaurant was comfortable and service was good.
We enjoyed our dinners, the appetizers and entrees were very good.We had swordfish, sole, mahi-mahi .. all cooked perfectly. Sides were a little predictable, but still well done. The alacarte Mexican corn side was exceptional. The service however was slow , indifferent attitude, but adaquate... had a nice time, maybe a little pricey for portions and atmosphere. Wouldn’t put it on top of my list but won’t cross it off either..
Decided to try the Early Fare menu as it appeared to be a terrific value. However, this was not the case. The restaurant did not disclose that the entrees were a half portion. A simple notation on the menu would be easy, and it would inform their customers what they are getting for their money. I will not be going back to Real Seafood ever again. I do not like the feeling of being misled.
The restaurant is within walking distance and we have eaten here many times. We have never had a bad experience in all the years that we have been coming.
This time it was a special occasion, a birthday, and the deal that the restaurant offers is very good.
Great food, nice setting, excellent service.
We went for seafood and were not disappointed. The crab stuffed sole was very good and the paella was also good although the shrimp and the clams were a bit overcooked. Service was excellent but the waiter raved about the "hummingbird" cake however when we came to dessert both we and the waiter found out it was no longer offered. So we were disappointed and the waiter was apologetic. We will return.
We were in the area in time to take advantage of the early dining menu. One of us had the shrimp scampi, the other the lemon sole. Both were served with nicely seasoned mashed potatoes and green beans, the scampi combined with artichokes and red peppers in a delicate sauce. Would have preferred the sole in a lighter crust, but it was tasty, the portion size sufficient but others may find it a bit small. Two house wine choices were included in the prix fixe and served in generous 8 oz. portions.
We were graciously welcomed and the observant hostess directed us to a booth convenient to the entry, very considerate given a minor mobility issue. Service was attentive and impeccable without being intrusive.
