Enjoyed a late lunch at Ray's. Impeccable service, well presented entrees, and nice atmosphere! Love Ray's.
We have been going to Rays Grill for Christmas Eve for many years. This year was not even close to the experience we've had in years past - extremely disappointed. There was a lack of attention to detail that effected the ambiance and dining experience such as the way we were greeted, no table clothes or decorations on the tables, no hot bread available, and an overall less than average experience. The food was good but not exceptional as in years past. This will be the last year for our family to include Rays Grill in our celebration of the holidays. It's unfortunate.
Food was really good. Service was a little slow, but it was Christmas Eve.
We will definitely try them again. The menu was aittle limited, but everyone was happy with the food.
Food & serving size, very good, X-Mas eve crowd, extremely busy, appeared short handed, but overall experience very good !
The food and service was excellent! Portions were manageable rather than excessive. It was a tad bit pricey. Great for a special occasion!
My filet mignon was outstanding. My wife's Ahi was good. The bill was way too high
My wife and I just recently moved here to Fulshear and we're looking for a perfect date night spot, we found Rays and it was just what we were looking for
This has got to be one of the best spots in the entire Katy/Fulshear area
Try the French Onion Soup!!
The food was displayed beautifully- as it always is. Everything was extremely tasty. Went back for seconds. 😊 this was my 2nd year for Thanksgiving. I will be going back next year as well. Love this little hidden gem.
There food was not good and cold. The service was terrible. We never got refills on our drinks and it took forever just to pay our bill.
We went to Ray's to celebrate our anniversay. It was a quiet mid-week occasion, with good food & excellent service.
The quality of the food was excellent. But for the money we spent would have expected more attentive waitstaff. Restaurant was not busy.
A little gem in old Fulshear
We went for Sunday Brunch. Good food selection, reasonable price. Price for Mimosas was cheaper than soda. Staff were friendly and helpful but not overbearing. Next time dinner.
This was my first time at Ray's. We had a large party and the service was great. Will definitely come again.
Really exceptional. Amazing that such a remote restaurant can produce such high quality food. Would come here often if not so far away. Went after going to the Blessington Farms Fall Festival down the road.
Excellent venison tenderloin and venison sausage. Great quail stuffed with chorizo. Crab cake had a little too much "filler". Excellent carpaccio. Children's meals very good and very well priced, but as usual the kids mostly ate off the appetizers. If you like local meats and game meat it is a good option.
This was probably the worst dining experience I have ever had. We had been to this restaurant a few years ago and had a really good experience. Not sure what has happened. We were really hungry and could not eat the food. It had no flavor, my husbands sweet potato fries were burnt.
I will never go to this restaurant again
This little restaurant in Fulshear continues to impress us. The mushroom strudel appetizer was delicate & flavorful - I have never had anything like it. The off the menu special of duck leg confit with braised cabbage was extra yummy. And the red snapper served with calamari risotto- wow. The service continues to be excellent and the wine list surprisingly good. Casual gourmet that is worth trying!
They had flies and nats around the food.
Very disappointed
I'd been there twice before and both times the food was good and the ambiance was somewhat "high class" which is great for a suburban restaurant. Maybe intentional, but this time seemed like they have made the place much more casual with TV's in the bar and no more tablecloths on the tables during dinner. I was immediately disappointed with the ambiance. I was still hoping for good food. I got the lamb "t-bone" and my wife got the pork chop. My lamb was ok at best and not as tender as you would expect. Her pork chop was better, but not great. The best part of the mean were the mashed potatoes. We had a flourless chocolate cake for dessert and it was slightly overdone. I would go there again for a casual lunch, but not for a nice dinner.
Ray's offers international fixed price 4-course meals each Wednesday. These are in addition to its full a la carte menu. I find the international menus interesting and good value and can highly recommend these. Ray's is the best restaurant west of Hwy 99 - and that covers a large area.
Excellent food and wait service. Nice ambience. Plenty of parking.
We absolutely love Ray's Grill -- it's our favorite date night spot near Katy! They have an amazing menu and staff. We are always delighted when visiting restaurant. Also, be sure to ask for Sesan. He is an amazing server!
We had a terrific early evening at Ray's Grill. The waiter was attentive but not intrusive, the food was outstanding and they made an effort to help celebrate my wife's birthday in style. Good variety on the menu including pricing. It did become a little noisy as the restaurant tables filled.
We went for Houston Restaurant Week. It was outstanding! I had surf and turf and lobster and steak were perfect!
Went for our anniversary and the food was superb. I had the lamb porterhouse, my husband had a steak and our sons had burgers. Everyone was very happy from appetizer to dessert. The wine, recommended by the waiter, was also perfect. My only wish is that there was someplace in Flusher/West Katy to go dressed up. We were way overdressed for Ray's.
Restaurant week food 4 course menu was awesome!!!
Went for the Taste of Brazil...!! Food was (and always is) FANTASTIC. For the month of August, every Wednesday they offer a 4 course dinner from said country. Worth the price without a doubt. Each month they tour a different country as well.
Great Food, taste good and excellent products, very good service and all the staff vey friendly, clean and neat place.
Very nice restaurant I recommend best upscale in the area
Food was delicious. Best restaurant west of Katy. Great menu selection. Lots of light, comfortable tables. White linen. Wine prices a little high versus the quality. I will meet friends for dinner there who live in Fulshear or Bellville.
I will still recommend Ray's Grill to friends, but with caution. My visit for lunch on Friday of last week was disappointing. The food was good, but service was sub-par. I could understand it if the restaurant was busy, but there were only 4 or 5 tables active and adequate staff was available. When my party asked for bread to compliment their soup, the answer was that the bread is frozen and they don't serve bread at lunch because they would have to throw too much away. Although they rounded up some crackers, that was a bad answer. I doubt they would throw away bread made the same day, and even so, serve your customers. With lunch prices matching dinner prices, combined with the lack-luster service and ammenities, I can understand why the lunch crowd is practically non-existent. A recent dinner yielded similar results. It doesn't seem that long ago that I simply could not get in without reservations; now it's no big deal.
Food was terrific and a real value. Also, our server, Donato, was excellent!
We thought we would try their Argentina special meal. Starter Empanadas were superb. The flank steak though very flavorful was too chewy for me. Desert great. Always pleasant staff and good service . wish their wine selection was a little lower in price!
A good evening!
Great food (needs a few more choices) and mediocre and somewhat slow, out of sync service. I will give them one more chance.
They were literally sold out of three quarters of their menu. I'm not sure if this is a regular occurence, but It really tainted the overall experience and high end feel they are charging you for.
The food here is wonderful! I live in Richmond and the drive to Fulshear was well worth it. The lobster and the red snapper melts in your mouth. Don, our server, was very attentive and helpful with our food selection. We will return.
The food on the Argentine night (Wednesdays in July) was great as were the wine pairings.
Super nice evening/meal at Ray's. Amberjack special with tomato/basil risotto was first rate & hubby's chicken fried Wagu was perfect. Paul was an awesome server. Love the touch of replacing tea with a fresh glass every time. Crab cake appetizer was tasty.
was ok. i guess i have been here too many times. Just tired of this place.
Will be awhile before we go back.. Nothing really wrong. Not as impressed as I was the first few times we dined here.
