Been there many times. Was a little disappointed with the salmon (undercooked). Everything else was good. Memorable for this occasion (birthday). Service was very good. Surprised there was no valet on a Sunday night (in November).

Fantastic food and service! Always a winner. We celebrated our 1 year anniversary, and they added tasteful touches with class.

We went at 5:30pm for an early dinner prior to a concert. We were immediately impressed with the waitress who made modifications to our meals as requested. We had salmon which was probably previously frozen due to the time of year and it did not have any flavor. Salads were good but a $140 bill without any liquor was excessive due to the quality of the main course. Obviously we will not return or recommend Ray’s.

The staff was very good and the service was excellent. However, the prices are pretty spendy (but that's Seattle). The menu is very limited if your don't like seafood and your going along to a seafood restaurant to be nice. Guess you could always fill-up at Dick's before or after.

Dinner was great, the only negative ( my 4 stars ratings) was due the our entrees orders somehow getting "lost" somewhere and were really late in arriving. While our server did apologize and did comp us a dessert.. they failed to inform us of the error and instead left us wondering where dinner was. When they did arrive, they were utterly delicious 😋

Enjoyed outstanding oysters and grilled king salmon on a quiet Wednesday evening. Service was friendly and attentive. Ray’s is an institution and always excellent.

I have been to Ray's Café many times, but this was the first time at the downstairs Boathouse. The service and food were amazing. We were there as a group as part of an interview for a potential employee. Ray's definitely impressed all of us.

We recently met up at Ray's Boathouse with some very dear friends of ours, whom we hadn't seen in a few years. We thought: - "Hey, let's celebrate at our FAV restaurant in Seattle for dinner - which is Ray's Boathouse!"
Ray's has never failed us, and we remain big fans of their food, service, view, ambiance, and persevering history in Seattle for many years now! They are simply the best to us! Our meals were so good, we all just raved throughout the entire meal. The scallops were to die for in my case! We had a perfect night, and it was so good to catch up with our friends as well. Thank you Ray's Boathouse...

My husband and I drove to Seattle for some shopping and decided to have dinner afterward. I had once many years ago been to Ray's and suggested dinner there. What an outstanding meal! Gorgeous sunset, seated by the window(on the water) and excellent food! Also, our server was very attentive without being overbearing. We will definitely be back soon! So good!

Ray's Boathouse is an excellent place to dine. It has a fantastic water-front view. The food and its preparation meet my high quality standards; the fish is fresh and superb.
The service and the ambiance are also equally excellent.

I've been to Ray's perhaps 6 times over 20 years. It's a quality place. Nice view of the water and Olympic mountains, very quiet, understated elegance. The food has always been great and this night was no exception. All ingredients were fresh and delicious. The waitress was having an off night, and couldn't remember what was on the menu or how some of the dishes were prepared. That was a surprise, as every other time I've been to Ray's, the service has been perfect, not obtrusive or overly familiar/friendly, but totally informed and helpful. It's nice to be able to have a quiet conversation; the acoustics are great. I'll come to Ray's again for a special occasion, but might try someplace livelier with a city view next time.

27 years ago we were married at Ray's boathouse so we figured it would be a great place to celebrate our 27th anniversary, the dinner couldn't have been more enjoyable, the food was amazing, the waiter top notch, dessert out of this world. We decided that if we're in town for future anniversaries Ray's is the place to come.

We made the reservation a few weeks ahead of time and requested a nice table for a 85th birthday celebration. We got a table without a view near the kitchen. Disappointing. Otherwise, the service was good and food was better than expected compared to other touristy waterfront restaurants.

We had a very nice evening on 10/19/2017 with great friends when we were in Seattle for our daughter's wedding. We live in Maryland and they live in Alabama. We went here as two different people had recommended this place. We stayed almost 3 hours and no one rushed us which we appreciated. Pricey but a very nice restaurant and we all had great meals that included: Halibut, Sablefish, Scallops and Crab with Squid Ink Pasta.

With a reservation made in advance, Ray's prepared a table for two with a wonderful view of the evening light on the water. We tend to go to Ray's Boathouse on special occasions, as in this case: a birthday. A birthday greeting was on our table. For elegant, quiet dining with excellent food and service, it's hard to find a better place for a special meal. Highly recommended!

My wife and I had an incredible Anniversary dinner. The oysters were incredible. Our entrees were amazing. The service: super easy going but refined. And we saw a sea lion out for a pleasure cruise amidst the evening sailers.

I will always like Rays but thier menu the last two visits has been disappointing
When was the last time you had a ceasar salad with greens in it? Not well dressed either
Entrees were few and high priced
My halibut was raw in the middle
Other entrees were small and paired with strange sides
Service was excellent
Wine list good
Views without compare
The small crowd on a Thursday evening makes me think the public is disappointed with the menu as well

Food and service was really nice. The restaurant however was VERY DARK and we were seated at an enormous round table that could have easily sat 8 or more. It was very hard to hear as the noise level was high and there was a newborn baby at the table next to us. As a mom I’m sympathetic to wanting to get out but it was unfortunate for a party of four the party didn’t respect the other diners in this very special occasion restaurant.
Will be back as the food is lovely and service great, but more for suites for a lively brunch crowd.

Elegant though relaxed, beautiful space. Food was pricey but very good and you pay for the ambiance/views too. We had king crab and coho salmon, being from Alaska and Washington can say they were prepared well with very generous portions. Very welcoming and accommodating staff (worked very well around allergies/food preferences). Welcoming to children though even with kids felt ambiance was well kept. Would return again for special occasions.
