nice place, but menu is very limited. The food selection is mostly very rich food. Not a place that I feel to have a good meal, more of a show off place on how much you would send to impress people.

Booked this to celebrate my wife's birthday before she gives birth to our first baby. We don't usually go out often but we definitely felt like this was worth it. A friend recommended this place and though it was very pricey, we felt it was totally worth the experience. We shared the clam chowder, crab cakes, the sake fused sablefish entree and the scallop and filet mignon entree. The bread was a great addition as well but we definitely felt full before we were able to complete the entrees.

I have frequented Rays for 45 years, through many menus and apparently an ownership change or two. But the unique views still play out, and the service is almost always top tier. Valentine's Day was no exception. The set menu offered choices almost any seafood lover could embrace, and the wait staff kept to the beat, not easy on "date night". This old timer still gets what he pays for at Ray's. Seattle restaurants come and go, and diners have higher expectations, but my security password is still Rays when prompted for favorite restaurant.

Salmon dinner not impressed with.
Rays Caesar wasn’t anything beyond others.
I’ll have to say Anthonys has better food, but not better service. Rays service was very good!

We had a lovely dinner from start to finish. Excellent service from Karen, our server and delicious food that was served piping hot. We live in Reno but travel to Seattle periodically for a long weekend and always make a point of having dinner at Ray's. Our favorite restaurant in Seattle.

Had not been there in a while. Service was very attentive, informative and polite.
Had the beet salad and chowder for appetizers. Beets were enjoyable, chowder had way too many flavors that conflicted and something was not right about it.
Sablefish was very good, king salmon was ok.
All in all a fair experience, just nothing that stood out for the high prices.

Sunday evening at Ray's Boathouse is always special. The crowds are light and the meals and service are always top notch. Take advantage of the specials - their seafood is exceptional and uniquely prepared. The ambiance and the view are inspiring.

I had a negative experience on my first and only time visiting Rays Boathouse. I will not be going back. We were going for my anniversary with my husband. We were sat next to a family of four with their two children who were watching a show loudly on their ipad/cell phone. It absolutely took away from a romantic experience. I understand that I cannot blame Rays Boathouse for this. We tried to ignore them and enjoy our experience. Our drinks (iced tea and water) were empty several times for about 5 minutes while we looked around for our server. My husband ordered a Caesar salad and had the chicken as his entree. The salad came and had 1 piece of Brown lettuce. We did not think much about it and just removed it from the plate. Once the chicken came, it was pink in the middle and had a dark red pool that came out of it. After another 5 minutes, we finally were about to find our server. He promptly removed the chicken. At this point, we were just ready to go. The manager came over and apologized that , "the color was undesirable". He offered an additional dish but we had lost our appetite. When we asked for the bill, they had removed the chicken but did not offer anything else as an apology or good faith on our next visit. It was not a good experience and do not recommend this restaurant.
