Raya had breath taking views. The service was excellent. The lobby was beautifully decorated for mothers day. The Champagne Brunch was enjoyable. I enjoyed the scallops and my wife loved the salmon.
It was an an amazing evening! The food was exceptional and the service was just as exceptional! Thank you so much. We look forward to our next visit!

Outstanding food, view was amazing
Went with friends for lunch Sunday. Very mediocre.
Excellent place, Delicious food, Personalized attention, Quality service, It was an amazing experience, I loved it!.
The Raya at the Ritz Carlton is a gem hidden amongst the enclaves of Orange County. Dinner was exceptional. The service, elegance, view, and ambience can not be matched by any other establishment that does not pay attention to the details of what a dinner experience can always mean. I will always prioritize Raya as my first prospect for all dining options available in Southern CA.
Our waiter, Dean, is absolutely the best waiter in the country. He is attentive without being overbearing; professional; friendly and always smiling. Also, Rosa, who assisted Dean is one of favorites too. Very professional. The food was delicious.
Our servers were very attentive and outstanding.
The ocean view was breathtaking and very beautiful.
My friend and I had an amazing dinner.
The view, the food, the services -- all tops! The Ritz-Carlton is always leads!
Excellent dinner with impeccable service and a stellar view.
Good appetizers , fabulous view , fabulous bartender .
Excellent service by all the wait staff and kitchen staff. A very special and memorable meal with exceptional food and an extraordinary view of the beach. Thank you!
Dining room was overwhelmingly noise. Could barely hear my fellow guest. But a larger problem was the food took 50 minutes to arrive which was totally unacceptable. Also, pricing is not a good value.
Celebrating a birthday.
My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at Raya on Friday evening. It was our first visit to this restaurant and we wisely arrived in time to enjoy a cocktail before dinner. There was a good energy in the bar; our drinks were great and we had terrific service from the two bartenders. We requested a dinner table on one of the large windows in the dining room and weren't disappointed. Our table had a spectacular panoramic view overlooking Monarch Beach where we watched the surfers and a beautiful sunset. Our server was very good - prompt, informative and friendly - and the atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. We shared three appetizers: the Lobster Tacos were fresh, creamy and rich; the Charred Octopus was cooked perfectly and tasty, and the Kalbi Short Ribs were excellent though a little too spicy for my wife. We shared the scallops entree which was also good. Overall the service and ambiance were excellent and the food was good. We are locals and will definitely return to Raya.
First of all... the service was second to none!!! Thank you!!! I was disappointed in the menu. It was just odd. So many flavors make you question the quality of the main ingredients. I didn’t get the bread offering. Again, just odd. There’s nothing better than outstanding hot fresh crusty bread. This wasn’t it. I’d come back for a drink.
I treated my good friend to a birthday lunch at Raya and the total experience was exceptional!
Great service by Andrew, Ethan at Raya and Kevin in the bar, the Lobster salads and the cheese rolls were fabulous. The birthday dessert was a perfect light ending to a delicious meal.
Our table was in front of a large window and our view was amazing!
Thank you to everyone who contributed to making our experience so special, we will be back!
Halibut is back!!! Amazing been waiting for this dish - great flavors sooo good!!
Food was not good considering the reviews and that the Ritz is supposed to be a 5-star property. Caesar was the only thing worth it....the kobe beef short-rib appetizer was not edible...same with the rice/seafood dish Too bad....the restaurant itself is spectacular
Everything was perfect, noted we were celebrating our wedding anniversary, and a window seat would be awesome. We arrived early and were seated at an awesome window seat with a gorgeous view, perfect for sunset. The food and cocktails were scrumptious, along with the anniversary dessert provided. Many thanks to the staff for a fantastic evening!!!
Each time I arrive, RAYA never disappoints. Service, food, everything was excellent. Thank you.
Great place for Brunch, the food & service were amazing.
Food is excellent and so was the service.
We went to the Ritz for a Anniversary dinner, service was great, or server Dean allowed us to take our time and never rushed us, as he let us to move st our own pace. Food was Ok , but not up to our previous visits, to bad they took the Halibut off the menu, hopefully they will put it back on the menu.
Fantastic view, great atmosphere and kind staff. The food is nice while the price is acceptable.
We went to RAYA for Sunday brunch. We’ve been to other Ritz-Carlton properties and have enjoyed the excellent service and food. Unfortunately the service and food were disappointing. The service was slower than usual and little details like having salt and pepper or bread plates on the table were missed. The food was quite ordinary, the pastries were dry and lacked flavor. My omelette was over cooked. We did not feel valued as customers. We feel it was not worth the splurge.
Delicious food, great service, wonderful view. Would 100% go back.
We dined at Raya’s for my boyfriend’s 50th birthday. We were treated like royalty by Daniel and the manager. They made my guy’s big day so special. Besides the excellent service, the food was AMAZING! I would eat here over and over again!
Great service, beautiful view, disappointing food.
When the Ritz-Carlton Laguna Niguel opened 35 years ago, it redefined excellence in service and dining experiences.
20+ years ago, Marriott acquired the Ritz-Carlton brand and management contracts. Ever since, Marriott has constrained, cost-controlled, and standardized a Marriott standard across the various brands that it has absorbed.
The impact of Marriott’s meddling with the Ritz culture is evident at Raya, where the service was terrific (Ladies and gentlemen serving ladies and gentlemen) but the kitchen was marriott quality through and through.
Ritz prices for Marriott quality.
We arrived a little early for our reservation. They sat us right away, a window seat as requested. Excellent waiter, Andrew was so pleasant. Food was perfect for me, but my husband's meat was a bit too red. All and all a GREAT time. Can't wait to go again. J T
Very impressed with this restaurant. Service, food and atmosphere were perfect. Beautiful setting.
Rays serves excellent food in a beautiful room with the best sunset over Catalina view.
Raya was the perfect place for a birthday celebration. The food and service were wonderful and the atmosphere and view were amazing. We feel so blessed to have the Ritz-Carlton and this fabulous restaurant near our home in Dana Point, we can't wait to go back.
We love it! But we will like better service! The woman waitresses are not very pleasant
Staff was accommodating and the meals were great!
Terrible service. It took 1 1/2 hours just to get any food which we ordered from the very limited brunch menu. Once we did get a basket of muffins delivered, busboy dropped a tray of yogurt parfaits on our table covering our table in glass shards. He cleaned it up alone and had to take away muffins, water, yogurt that we had waited so long for. 2 hours to get lunch entree.
Celebration of my daughters 26th birthday.
Service was excellent as was the food and view plus the special dessert they gave us for our anniversary.
Amazing food, amazing service and an amazing view to add on. Highly recommend
