We are among the few self-standing winery restaurants that bake our own bread and grow our own certified organic vegetables while pairing our meals with the guidance of our Winemaker, Martin Werner's discriminating palate . We are blessed with a renowned culinary team that chooses an ever-changing menu. With a variety of ingredients picked right from our garden, Proprietor Paul Harber and Executive Chef Ross Midgley not only create a seasonal menu but also preserve as much as possible so that going local is not just a seasonal term. We are extremely proud of our service team and confident in the level of hospitality that will be shown to your table whenever you choose to dine with us at Ravine.

Our 34-acre site is located in the sub-appellation of Niagara-on-the-Lake called the St. Davids Bench. This place is dynamic, fresh and full of energy for doing everything well while never fearing to try new things. Consequently we are perfect for events and really good at it. We host almost any event ranging from 10 — 600 persons. Weddings, anniversaries, family reunions, social club meetings, corporate meetings, we’ve just about hosted them all!

My boyfriend and I came for a wine tasting and lunch before heading back to the States. We ended up doing the tasting, enjoying a three course lunch with a bottle of wine and brought a bottle home. Everything was spectacular and we were both very impressed. We would absolutely return again on or next Canada Trip.

I was ultimately very disappointed with my experience at Ravine. While I am a big fan of their wines and tasting room I was surprised by what felt like a lack of care and attention to almost every aspect of the restaurant. For a place that has a reputation of being romantic and charming, to not have candles on the table at dinner was a huge disservice. It actually served to make me want to eat and get out, rather than stay a while and enjoy my wine and my date. Then of course I thought, well don’t worry the food is sure to be redeeming of the dull ambiance but aside from a tasty cheese board (no mentioned of where the cheeses were made), it felt like I was transported back in time to some wacky Canadian grandmas kitchen, and not at all in a good way. Firstly we were disappointed by the fact that the burger and short rib we had seen online weren’t offered since they were only doing brunch... (it was a Sunday at 7:30pm and this was not explained online or at time of booking). I found pairings to be strange - take for instance 3 nacho chips with cheese melted on them to be paired with trout gravlax ... or the peanut crust (the menu read hazelnuts but I could have sworn it was peanuts) on the pork loin. The pacing of plates was off for ys too, waiting 10-15 mins between courses. We took our desert (chocolate peanut tart which was good) to go because I was feeling so saddened by the experience and just wanted to crawl into bed. Of course this tart came on a plate to our table after we had already paid and we proceeded to wait what seemed like an absurd amount of time for it to be placed in a box. Ultimately I was very surprised based on what I had heard of this restaurant from friends and the reviews. I would be hesitant to recommend this restaurant after my experience there.

Very disappointed. First the food - ladies ordered pork as their main course and it was inedible. Mostly fat and too tough to even cut through. Next, the service - ordered shared appetizers for the table. They arrived at the same time as the first course. Poor planning. Lastly the ambience - the new bar area made for a very loud evening. This used to be a go to dining experience. Emphasis on used to be.

We loved everything about Ravine! Winter price fixe menu with wine pairings was outstanding! Cheryl (our server) was awesome! The food was delicious and just the right portion size. Will definitely be back!

Great Saturday afternoon lunch was had. From the front of house staff to the servers. All three courses from their prix fixe menu were absolutely delicious. I had the Heirloom beet & goat cheese salad to start, beef short rib as my main and the sticky toffee pudding for dessert.
