About Ravine Vineyard Winery Restaurant
We are among the few self-standing winery restaurants that bake our own bread and grow our own certified organic vegetables while pairing our meals with the guidance of our Winemaker, Martin Werner's discriminating palate . We are blessed with a renowned culinary team that chooses an ever-changing menu. With a variety of ingredients picked right from our garden, Proprietor Paul Harber and Executive Chef Ross Midgley not only create a seasonal menu but also preserve as much as possible so that going local is not just a seasonal term. Our 34-acre site is located in the sub-appellation of Niagara-on-the-Lake called the St. Davids Bench. This place is dynamic, fresh and full of energy for doing everything well while never fearing to try new things. Consequently we are perfect for events and really good at it. We host almost any event ranging from 10 — 600 persons. Weddings, anniversaries, family reunions, social club meetings, corporate meetings, we’ve just about hosted them all!

We tried the restaurant at Ravine after hearing many recommendations.... the food was very good although we found the servings (especially the potatos!) too large, which made the presentation a little less than what might have been possible. The highlight was the charcuterie platter, which was spectacular. They use their own pickled products a little too heavily through all courses although they are very tasty, so if you like pickled veggies you're good!
We had a group of 6 and had reservations for 12:30 on a Monday. We had a cheese and charcuterie board to start with and lunch entree after. The only small complaint was that the cheese and charcuterie boards took about 45 minutes to arrive, which seemed like a long time to us. The restaurant was not that busy when we arrived, but did fill up after. The food was delicious and the entree's came out in good timing, everyone had a great time. Would definitely head back again.
We celebrated our anniversary at Niagara-on-the-Lake and Ravine Vineyard Estate Winery was highly recommended by a friend. Excellent cuisine served by a friendly and professional waiter who made wonderful suggestions. Due to the weather and our arrival in the evening, we were unable to tour the grounds, which we heard are beautiful.
You can not go wrong with anything on the menu or with the wine list. The historic building and wonderful decor really make this a spot to behold. Service was amazing from the managers to the busters playing a part in making our night wonderful. It is the quintessential spot for a true Niagara experience. Arnagar.
Had a great time, service was great! Food came out at the same time because they use multiple servers to bring everytjing out at once. Wine tasting - they knew alot about their product and have free samples if you have reservations at the restaurant. Definitely will come back in the future.
We were 3 for Lunch during 'fabulicious' on Friday Nov 10th 2017 and we all enjoyed our 3 courses. Our server was attentive, pleasant, and added to our experience. White linens, creative presentation, generous portions. Good wine pairings. Peaceful views of the vineyard while dining. Eager to return.

We were greeted by chickens upon our arrival and I knew immediately that I was going to enjoy my experience at Ravine Vineyard. I ordered the short rib and my friends and I shared the cheese and charcuterie board. It was delicious! We left nothing on our plates. The view to the vineyard is beautiful. We really enjoyed ourselves and the wine was exceptional too!
Chef Ross is definitely one of the best chefs in Niagara, a region already boasting some exceptional food, and his seasonal, locavore-friendly menu at Ravine is excellent. Book well in advance because Ravine is modestly sized and hugely popular. It may get a little loud, but the atmosphere is comfortable and unpretentious.
An absolutely stunning restaurant attached to a great winery/farm. They raise their own hogs and create their beautiful chacuterie board filled with pickled vegetables also from their gardens. The smoked pork chop over grits with purple cauliflower purée and roasted vegetables was the best pork chop I've had, and the pumpkin and sage stuffed tortelli with cranberry compote was a vegetarians thanksgiving dream. The view over looking the vineyard was stunning as the chickens roamed free entertaining all the window diners. Service was friendly, prompt, knowledgable and also uninvassive. Jerah(sp?) was absolutely fantastic walking us through the menu and explaining what it is Ravine Vineyards is all about. An absolute must try in wine country!
Based on recommendations from our children, my husband and I booked dinner prior to attending an event in Niagara Falls.
Our server was great and we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner selections. We shared the Cheese tray, a nice start to the meal. I had the Sweet Potato and Pumpkin Tortellini and my husband had the hamburger, with amazing fries. And, while we were pleasantly full we were tempted by the dessert menu and shared the Bounty Coconut Bar.
It was a wonderful evening and we would highly recommend a trip to Ravine. We are definitely planning a return visit next summer and bringing the whole family.
This farm to table experience was superb, a cozy comfortable restaurant tucked into a beautiful vineyard. If the weather was nicer we would have sat outside. The fall vegetable salad with squash and apples is one of the most flavorful dishes I've ever had. My son had an incredible grass fed burger and our entrees were fantastic too. So glad we followed our waiters recommendation to go to this all organic vineyard.
We go here every year at the end of October for their wine and for their food. Although we were disappointed in 2 ways this time...no Gewert and no Duck...we loved both in the past 2 years...we still had an excellent meal and enjoyed the wine we did have. The food is well prepared and presented nicely. The staff is pleasant.
We ordered the charcuterie board and cheese plate. All the items from the almonds to the veggies to the meat was extremely salty (except the cheese). Not very appetising. Ruined our taste buds to stay for a main so we left.

First time here while visiting Niagara for the weekend. The meal was exceptional, from the charcuterie to the fresh tortellini. The wine pairing and knowledgeable service took it to that next personal level. Overall a really amazing meal and experience. We will be coming back as often as we can.
