Ravine Vineyard Winery Restaurant
Lovely! Great food and reasonable price. Oysters were great!!
Fantastic lunch. Best charcuterie board ever. Exceptional service. Great view. Our fave place in the NOTL area.
Food is always good here but portions are really small. Great ambience and lovely vineyard. The cheese platter is always a great choice and the beet salad amazing!
Went to Ravine for lunch. I had the burger - it was good, but way too salty...and I'm a guy who likes salt! My wife had the BLT special, which was fried green tomatoes with bacon, lettuce and sauce on a burger bun. It was okay but a bit of a sloppy mess, and the bun struggled to contain it. I've had better food experiences at Ravine, so not sure if this was just a one-off. In terms of ambiance, the restaurant is very nice inside, but unfortunately they have almost completely blocked the view of the the beautiful vineyards and countryside with a large white event tent, which seems to be there at least semi-permanently. That is a shame. So the experience was 'okay', but in the past, my experiences have been much better than just 'okay'.
Great place, food is always excellent as is the service. Disappointed that torn up tent block views of vineyard for our 8 guests.
Talia was our server and she was amazing. She helped us with the menu and wine parings... The food was spectacular and we will be back for sure!
The entire lunch was amazing. The menu was creative and fulfilling. The house wine was also top notch. The service has been top notch as well with our waitress giving us suggestions that suits us very well!
This was our first meal in NOL and we picked Ravine by chance. As it was a Monday, it was very quiet. Ambience was romantic and relaxed, very clean, nicely decorated. We had a turnip/apple soup to start that both my husband and I agreed was the highlight. The cheese charcuterie board with homemade preserves tasted so fresh. We shared the duck as an entree and though this was not my favorite part of the meal, it was certainly still delicious and nicely plated. If the ingredients are not fresh and local then I was fooled! Wine was yummy as well as the peach cider we purchased in the grocery area. Lovely spot and one restaurant not to miss!
My Wife & I always visit Ravine Vineyard as our primary place in Niagara-on-the-lake for a nice dinner we have NEVER been disappointed here. We didn't feel rushed and our latest visit for dinner flowed perfectly from start to end kudos to Lisa our server who we've had before. Short rib for me & trout for my Wife both prepared to perfection a shared butter tart with coffee to finish the evening. Looking forward to our next visit already.
Great food and people. Perfect spot for a Fall dinner with local wine. Started with the parsnip and Apple soup topped with crispy parsnip. Delicious. As a main I selected the steelhead trout which was topped with crispy nori in an Asian broth and spaghetti squash. I was surprised how well it went together. Finished with zucchini cake and maple ice cream. Frosting on the cake was a little too sweet for my liking but didn’t get in the way of the dessert. Staff were attentive and friendly throughout. I like that this place was a fine restaurant in a local winery that didn’t make you think you had to come dressed in your Sunday best. Some of the places out here can overdue it in terms of fanciness. This place had the same quality without the trappings of that. Definitely worth a visit.
While in Niagara visiting the falls we decided to get away from the tourist area and head north into wine country. Great idea. If I could give our server 5+ I would. Great service and good recommendations to pair food and wine. Fun tasting their wines which were quite good. Would definitely recommend if you’re in the area.
Took a couple of key employees and their spouses to Ravine for dinner and it was great. Just a perfect evening.
We had an amazing meal at Ravine Vineyard and Winery! Our first time here but we will definitely be back....soon!
Our adult children recommended this restaurant and we were not disappointed! The best, fresh pork chop dinner with a beautiful vegetable accompaniment that we’ve had in awhile! We shared a lemon trifle dessert and it was outstanding; a perfect way to end a special meal.
Next time, we’ll try their lunch offerings. Will definitely return when visiting the area again.
All three of us had amazing meals. However the service was less than stellar. We received menus promptly, then waited a long time for someone to speak with us. When the server did come to the table she asked if we were ready to place our order. We asked if we could order some wine first. Which we did. When she returned she took our order but she didn't give off any vibes that we were going to have a special time with a special meal, unlike previous times at Ravine.
The service was AWFUL. For the price we paid, we expected a smile, some light conversation. It was our 2nd wedding anniversary and a night out without the baby. We were so excited. Paul (our waiter) set the tone. We felt rushed and like we were inconveniencing him. There are many wineries in notl where we have not experienced this level of unprofessionalism so would highly recommend many over ravine.
We went for the Monday thanksgiving dinner. Jane was attentive and not intrusive. The food was delicious. My wife's gluten sensitivity was accommodated with a minimum of fuss. We were very happy diners.
It was a wonderful experience. The service was excellent; the staff were very friendly. The meal was delicious. We will definitely go back.
Menu could have perhaps had a few additional choices, but food was very good, service was great and so was the ambiance. Perfect place to spend a sunny fall afternoon/evening..
Everything was amazing
Attended on an early Monday afternoon. Ordered Charcuterie platter that we (2 people) shared. One person ordered the frittata and the other their corn chowder. We shared their zucchini cake. Everything tasted wonderful. Would definitely recommend this winery restaurant.
I made reservation few weeks ahead, however we were seated far away from the window side, plus there was a big tent set up outside for some events which blocked the whole view. Not impressed with the menu selection, no recommendation provided. I felt they only interested in selling wines. I have had good time at this place, but I am disappointed with the recent visit.
Fantastic food and amazing cabernet franc.
Service and locaion were perfect.
Would highly recommend to anyone seeking good wine and food.
This is the best meal experience I have had in years!! The food was so flavourful, and lovely ingredients. Everything was cooked well, and exceeded my expectations.
The best part is though, the service. Kind and thoughtful. We were served courses properly and checked on constantly. i never had to ask for water or bread... they just pay attention and give you the best experience possible. I highly recommend.
Great food. The quality really shows. It’s also obvious forethought has gone into the presentation. I liked the fact we could view the vineyards from our table. Very pleasant experience top to bottom.
It was a fantastic night! Every thing as expected. Nice stuff and delicious food. Recommend to anyone looking for a great place to have a good time.
Same good service but disappointed in the menu selections and the quality of the entree we ordered
Not up to the standards I remember
The food, wine, and staff were amazing! Will be back again!
Amazing food, nice view of the vineyard and good service!
We came here for our first anniversary this past weekend. We got the charcuterie to share and the scallops. The meats were all made in house and were amazing! I dont usually like mortadella but this one was delicious. The scallops were cooked perfectly; with the roasted corn it was my favourite thing i had! We both got the tenderloin for our mains. The potato, pea and brisket side was well seasoned next to the steak which could have used more salt either on the meat or the sauce. Over all an amazing experience and i will definatly recommend and be back!!
Amazing ambience and super friendly staff. Loved the fresh produce and Ravine wine. Awesome vineyard experience
Restaurant was busy did not have enough staff. Server was poor not attentive enough not very personable. Husbands fish lacked flavour. My chicken was spectacular. Dessert of peach cobbler barely edible. Booked over a month ago and could not accommodate a table overlooking the vineyard disappointing.
We enjoyed our first dinner so much that we returned a few days later. Both times our servers were extremely friendly and helpful, since this was our first visit. Food preparation - freshness of ingredients and cuisine - was excellent and the setting was most pleasant. We will definitely return in the future when we are in the Niagara region next summer for the Shaw Festival!
Really fantastic lunch! Lovely wines and great seasonal food.
Great service provided by Barb! Great food and great ambiance. Looking forward to going back.
We had reserved a table for six people right by the window on the lower level, specifically and personally spoke to the hostess who assured us that we would have that table. We were hosting two couples from out of town who were celebrating their 60th wedding anniversaries. I might mention that we are also Ravine wine Club 262 members, and have been Ravine wine club members for several years. As a wine club member, one of the perks is that we are allowed preference over others for the selection of table when reserving. Upon arrival we were seated in the corner on the upper level. We were not happy. The same hostess was there and was very embarrassed as she remembered us but not our request and had given away our table to another group of six. She assured us that as soon as the group of six left we would get their table. That is NOT what we had asked for. Our reservation had been made for 6:30 pm. By 8 pm we were still awaiting for that table (and had not had dinner). We were finally given the table at 8:30 pm. It was also extremely noisy, with many patrons speaking so loudly that I couldn't hear my own conversation but could verbatim tell you what the next tables were discussing. Fortunately our wonderful server, Jason, worked very hard to compensate. We were not charged for our three glasses of wine that the group of six ordered.
The food was delicious and overall it was a great experience for my parents 47th anniversary!
I do not rate very many things Outstanding, but the meal we had was so good , we couldn't remember when we had such delicious food....the drinks, the Lamb BLT, grain salad, pasta dish...everything was cooked perfectly! We have never been disappointed eating at Ravine, but we really enjoyed this last visit. We will, of course be back!
A beautiful setting and fantastic dinner! We really enjoyed all parts of our meal, so much so that we went back two days later to try their charcuterie and cheese plate. Our only complaint during dinner was the fruit flies were all over - so perhaps they can investigate some natural fruit flycatcher.
