Felt like I was in Tuscany..
Wine too expensive and portions niggerdly ! Food portions miniscule not very flavourful. My chicken
A small portion of breast meat (probably 1/4 of a 1/2 breast) with a wing joint. Friends Fish was the size of a postage stamp. Ribs were dry and over cooked.
Dessert was two small rings of Swiss roll with two melon ball scoops of strawberry sorbet a few raspberries and some almonds $11.
Not very good value for money. Will not return, will not recommend to anyone!
Staff were lovely and friendly!
Dinner at Ravine is always worth the 7.5 hour drive from Massachusetts!
Excellent value for the money. This smaller winery is a great place to go for a more casual dining experience. Their wine is comparable to the other more established wineries in the area and a visit to the wine tasting room is a great idea. Our wait staff was excellent, the food outstanding and the overall experence made our day. We will be back.
Was looking for a “family” owned vineyards restaurant for a Saturday lunch. Closes early.
Pizza is only served outside, but no one informed us. Looked like very thinned crust ones, not the Napoli style they serve at Pieza (downtown). Strongly recommend.
Inside menu is limited, so we each had their burger, some coffee, 2x 3 once of local Ravine red Wine and a shared dessert. + $100.
Strange ambiance. Trying to be posh and mixing different flavours however, falling a bit short. Especially for the price tag and uneven service.
What a waste of money!!! Our lunch for our anniversary was not quite as good as it would have been going to Macdonald"s. The duck was overcooked by probably 10 minutes. Two pieces of asparagus and two beans with french fries rounded out a terrible meal. My wife ordered the cabbage rolls and she couldn't even cut through the cabbage. She ate one and brought one home and we both tried to eat it with no success. The beet starter was a total waste of money. Four or five pieces beets on greenery was not worth the money and the dessert was only a small stalk of rhubarb in a very large bowl which did nothing for us. All this for only 105.00. Thank god we split the starter and the dessert or it would have been even more. You are a bunch of snobs and the sooner that you are out of business the better.
Lovely patio dining, food and service was excellent, only one vegan dish so won't go often but cocktails made up for it!
Wonderful patio lunch overlooking the vineyard. Superb service, good selection of dishes to choose from. Decent wines by the glass, and all very reasonably priced.
It’s always a good meal here, great local cuisine and an excellent 2016 Cab.
We have eaten here numerous times and have never been disappointed
Great views of the vineyards in a relaxed setting. Menu is small but unique. Good wine and adorable gift shop next store where you can buy pottery or food for an impromptu picnic.
The service was average, but they tried to steer us to a poorly positioned table when others were available, we chose a better one than offered. We had the Charcuterie plate to start , heard the pate was good , that's why we ordered it. Pate was ok at best, nothing special , and the cooked meats were of Loblaws quality. I had the Short rib and it was good that it came with a horseradish pesto, because it was totally lacking in Flavour . My wife had the burger and it was over cooked, no choice was offered for Medium rare or rare. Nice drive out, but nothing special about the food.
This was fabulous!!! Asparagus strawberry salad delicious. Long cod and beef was cooked perfect. Great value for your money!!
Very good food. Dishes not what you get everyday. Lavender chocolate delicious. Hamburger and rib roast were excellent
Great place to have a nice lunch. The patio overlooks the vineyard. The service and food were both great. Have a very nice time with my wife following a bike ride in the area.
Always excellent service and food. We’ve never been disappointed.
Wonderful lunch for a party of five. Outstanding food, drink and atmosphere 👍🏻👍🏻
The food was very good, and although the menu was small, showed creativity and variety. The service was spotty - one waiter spilled soup all over my companion! Unfortunately, the wine was mediocre to awful! We had the reisling (terrible) brut (OK) and savignon blanc (OK).
Wonderful venue. Same menu. Good food great rose. Love the view especially the vineyard in early evening
Great little place. We really enjoyed our meal and the place. Our wine was great. AC was a bit too high for my liking but I get cold easily. Food was great.
Short rib was so tender and dessert was delish. Was confused why we couldn’t use a bottle of wine we just bought from their store next store for dinner, so ended up buying a 3rd bottle to have for dinner. View of vineyard while eating is beautiful
Since it’s inception, Ravine continues to get better and better each year. This is the only MUST restaurant in Niagara on the lake.
Took my parents to Ravine for their first time. Total enjoyable lunch and Tracy provided excellent service. Food is delicious and ambience is exactly what you expect from a quality vineyard. Highly recommend the charcuterie board and fresh oysters.
Very disappointed in the service! Went for our anniversary expecting a great experience instead felt like we were an inconvenience! Asked to be seated on the patio even though we reserved for inside and once out there we were pretty much forgotten! Girl who brought out our food practically threw it on the table! Had to wait 15 mins for our drinks and were not offered coffee or desert! Finally got up and went inside to ask for our bill after waiting for the waitress to come back when we finished eating! The $10 tip we left was way too much for the service we received! Will not go back or recommend!
Brought visitors from abroad to have lunch. Food was great and loved the Oysters! Pair d it with a Sand and Gravel Riesling.
We had a lovely lunch on the patio overlooking the vineyards. Our server, Cheryl, was very friendly and our house-cured salmon was delicious. The Ravine rose was the perfect accompaniment.
Wonderful fresh asparagus soup with accompanying savory muffin, gravlax, grilled haloumi salad, and seared ling cod dishes. Tried their riesling reserve with it-perfect for a hot June evening--enjoyed their bread--they add a few salt flakes to the butter. Really nice dinner. Informal setting.
The worst service , seemed like the guy was bothered for any questions that we asked .
The food was delicious! Sadly, there was a large group seated right beside us who were extremely loud. It wasn’t relaxing having to make such an effort to hear our friends as they were drowned out by the loud counterparts. Maybe large groups could be seated in a corner away from small tables looking for good conversation with their meal. For the price you pay, it would be nice to enjoy one another’s company.
Came here last nite with some friends from Burlington who had never been here. While we have been here several times prior and the food and ambience good, we were very disappointed that the menu hadn’t changed much ( was there a year ago) , there were no specials items featured and the value of certain items was definitely not worth it. I gave value a poor rating because the 11$ dessert I had was ridiculous for what it was priced at. I ordered the swiss almond roll , and while I didn’t expect something huge , what came out was 2 slices ( not even an inch thick each, I am NOT kidding you) of what was the size of a Little Debbie Swiss roll. On the plate too was a small handful of slivered almonds , another small handful of sliced strawberries and 2 melon ball scoops of strawberry sorbet. In hindsight I should have sent it back because it was not worth 11$ at all. I’ve had much more substantial desserts for less money at higher end restaurants. I totally get this is a somewhat upscale place and good chefs , artisanal food etc, but if you are going to serve this the price point should be like 7$ ( and even that would be questionable for the size.
Perhaps because it was the end of the night you could maybe assume they only had a little end piece of the Swiss roll and decided to serve it anyways when I ordered it , but I noticed that our server ( who had asked every time how are food was ) didn’t ask us how it was. Had she I wouldn’t have said something and I should have. So my fault for leaving it til now but I can help another person avoid the same disappointment I had , then this post was helpful!
Ps. I wish I had taken a photo of it , it was that ridiculous ! Makes me question whether I would return there again with guests. Even they were floored at the size of it considering the price.
Excellent evening for dinner with friends.
Ravine was warm and inviting, and a lovely outdoor setting.
The food was amazing, well presented. The wine was perfect .
We will definitely return.
Great to sit outside for lovely lunch by the vineyard
I chose the restaurant because of the view but were told we could not get the window seat as requested in my online reservation. All of the window tables remained empty for the duration of our lunch. I should have been informed when the reservation was confirmed.
Always a good experience at Ravine.
Wonderful food and service. It’s our fave
An all round good dining experience.
Excellent food, service, ambiance.
Cons - 1 page menu. Very limited options. Expensive. Dinner for 2 $200.
The food was fantastic - better than we could have imagined. Our server was great and very knowledgeable regarding the menu and wine list.
