Wade and April are the best host and hostess ever and the chef is absolutely amazing! We cannot recommend this place any more than we already have to everyone we know - we're a little afraid that if everyone found out about this little gem, it would be too hard to get in but they deserve the success!!

Wade and April gave us great service and food. Everything was great from appetizer, salad, entrees (salmon and sea bass) to dessert. Their mussels are always our favorite appetizer.

My third visit to Ravenous and once again the food and service were superior.

Absolutely amazing meal. Such great attention to detail with every component of the meal, from the great soup, beet salad, to the perfectly seared duck breast and chilean sea bass. Elegant decor without being over-the-top or stuffy. The definition of a neighborhood gem, but that wouldn't be suffice. A true Sacramento, regional, global treasure. Wade and April create a magical ambience and experience to match the heavenly food.

I love Ravenous. A group of friends had lunch there. I was able to introduce Ravenous to them. They all really enjoyed the food and ambiance and the owner Wade who was friendly and helpful in selecting the food. Our group had scallops, escargot, duck risotto and burgers and desserts. Everything was fresh and flavorful and all dishes were well received.

Immediately upon stepping through the door we were pleasantly surprised. It’s small and quaint but it makes the experience that much better. Conversation was quiet, I barely heard anyone else’s and was able to talk to my husband in a normal tone. The ambiance was such a nice change from a “normal” restaurant. It was romantic and perfect for our date night. Food prices were more than we expected, but in my option well worth it. Our server (April) was fantastic. She did a great job, perfect balance between helping us and also letting us enjoy our meal and night. And our glasses were never empty. All in all a fantastic dining experience, will definitely be back.

We were looking for a special occasion but not-too-stuffy place for a birthday dinner and read great reviews for Ravenous. It is located in a strip mall but offers an oasis of calm among the chaos. Everything about the meal was on point, from the friendly greeting and lovely decor to the warm crusty bread and delicious appetizers (crab cakes and salad).
Entrees of steak and of salmon risotto were fantastic as well, as were the wines and desserts although I think desserts were less special -but that could have been because we were completely stuffed to the gills at that point. (lemon cheesecake was great!)
Overall a really impressive leisurely multi course dinner in an unexpected area of Sacramento.

There is a reason why it is rated the best food in Sacramento -- it is! Sophisticated palates won't be disappointed. Simple palates won't be overwhelmed. Ravenous is in a funky location and yet, once inside, you are transported into a fine dining experience. They way the chef combines ordinary flavors with a little pop of the unexpected, the results dazzle. If you order the chocolate mousse for dessert, you will have a very difficult time stopping at just one. (Recipe has been handed down through a couple of generations.)

This place features very well prepared food and excellent, attentive service combined with a friendly intimate atmosphere. Highly recommend it.

This cozy small bistro has a great ambience and the host and sever is the owner. The food and presentation is excellent and will have you coming back again. Hats off to his excellent chief,. Get your reservations in early as the owner takes only so many reservations per day and that is it. We had a great experience for our anniversary and in our neighborhood the pocket also.

Had not been here in quite awhile as it is a jaunt for me but well worth the trip. Menu well thought out something to please everyone. Small space was very well utilized. Service was great music in the background not overbearing. All our food appetizer, entrees and dessert were excellent. I will have to make a point to return despite the drive.

We love the food at Ravenous. Next we love the welcome and service from April and Wade. We have never been disappointed by either. Ravenous has THE best cheesecake. The salmon and Chiliean sea bass were cooked perfectly presented beautifully. Also loved our escargot, mussels, and salads. Ravenous is a real hit with us.

A smallish intimate setting, with first class attention to food and service. We had heard this was a great neighborhood find and traveled out of our way to try it. It was worth it, and we'll look for excuses to drop in again. The halibut special, the duck, the mussels, etc all wonderful.
