We’ve been before and have always enjoyed the restaurant. Food great. Service just okay. Will come again....probably.

Food and service good. Your wine prices are way to high, need a better selection at the lower price point level. There is no reason that most wines are three or four times the price of the entree. This is NOT good dining value and a deterrent to return very often.

Wonderful dining experience! The menu offered a good selection. Every item we ordered was an excellent dish. The restaurant is located close to the center of downtown so it is a perfect for pre-dining before attending any events at the local Schnitzer or Keller Theaters (and let them know if you're attending any event so you won't get pressed for time.)

We had a great time sitting at the bar with Zach, our bartender and all around amazing human. He took such great care of us and was a font of knowledge. The food and drink was delicious and I can’t wait to come back.

Though somewhat more expensive than we anticipated, the food, drinks and service were outstanding. The venison I had was tender and delicious, served with wild mushrooms. Hubby's pork chop was also very good. If your up for a very upscal;e meal, I would not hesitate to recommend Raven and Rose.

Not a great experience. Abrupt and unapologetic staff. Left off essential ingredient to breakfast and had to wait for it while all our food got cold.

The food was great! The service for the price was not as attentive as you would like. We were seated for more than 5 minutes before wait staff approached our table . It was another 5 minutes before a drink order was taken. Only down side of the night was our server. The support staff for the server were great.
We will be back. It may have just been an off night for our server.

Was looking forward to a nice meal in the old carriage house before a show at the Keller with my daughter the other night. I had never tried Raven and Rose. I made a reservation in advance. The food was very good by fine dining standards, however, the waiter steered us away from the pork and beef saying they would take too long to prepare. He informed us of the special (scallops) but failed to note the price. I chose the special, which was delicious and well-portioned, however, it was $42. I felt this was rather overpriced. Had I known that, I would have ordered something else. Next time, I'll ask what the price is before ordering. My daughter ordered the pasta, which she said was delicious. Also, when I asked for a vodka martini with a specific vodka, he stated he had an alternative brand, to which I readily agreed. When it was time to pay the bill, there was an upcharge of $2 for the vodka as part of the cocktail. I didn't appreciate not being told. Was a nice place to try "British/Irish" cuisine, but I won't be going back to the restaurant. There are better places to have a nice meal. I might try the Rookery, however, for happy hour sometime.

Quaint and charming. Sat at Chef’s counter and was so impressed by wood-fired oven pizza skills of the chef. Great service from the wait staff.

Great building with a history. Great place for a drink but if you want to eat- they are PAINFULLY slow. Food was good, but spendy. Had to wait for over an hour for food, and the servers did not care after numerous requests for status- acted like this was normal for this place and did not apologize even though we said we had a show to go to. Would have tried desert if we had the time.

I have dined here previously and find everything excellent.from the service people, to the generous drinks and the superb food. I come fairly regularly when i come to the Schnitz for concerts.

Good food and generally good service. The server seemed a bit put out that we choose to get several sharing plates instead of full dinners as we were going to the theater. It wasn’t like we didn’t still spend a lot on food and drink. Would still recommend for a nice night out.

The food was great, both in flavor and presentation.
But we really felt let down by painfully slow service.
I'd mentioned that we needed to leave by a certain time
(1 hour 40 minutes after we arrived), both when I made
the reservation and when we ordered our starters and
entrees (which were standard items from the menu, no
special treatment required). No problem, they said.
But that was not true. For example, we had to wait
close to 20 minutes for our plates to be cleared and to
get the check. And even though we skipped dessert (not
because we wanted to, but because we had to), we still
ended up leaving late. Other tables near us seemed to
receive more (and more prompt) attention, but we didn't
get the experience we were hoping for.

Perfect meal from beginning to end. The dessert menu was astonishing! We had to have three of them between the two of us!! This is one of the very top restaurants in Portland can’t wait to go back!

I didn't quite understand that Raven & Rose wasn't open on Sunday afternoon or evening. But through Open Table I got the last reservation of the day. The hostess was kind enough to hold the table before they closed and didn't rush us at all. The food is great and healthy. I'm delighted each time I go.

My family of 4 (2 boys ages 9 and 13) ate here prior to a show at the Keller. Easy walking distance only necessitating parking once. The historic building is an architectural gem and fun to dine in. The menu is creative and delicious. The service was a little slow and sporadic but we had built in enough of a time cushion before the show that we were OK. Prices were very expensive but the quality of the food did deliver. Wine list way overpriced, they could use a few options under $75/bottle.

Such a pleasurable dining experience. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Every suggestion or recommendation was appreciated and spot on. Drinks were tasty, food well prepared and presented. We were able to pop upstairs to the lounge after where there was live music in the background, ample seating, ancozy fireplace and even a billard table. Service and quality made this experience well worth the price point. We can't wait to visit again.

We had a lovely dinner here, and walked easily to the Keller for a show. The food was delicious, and as promised, the Irish coffee was particularly good. For great service, ask for Rochelle's section. For quiet conversation, request a booth.

The food was very good. They did get my adjustment to my order incorrect, however. I did not send it back because I hate to waste food and it was pretty good regardless. The butterscotch pudding dessert was excellent. The service was average, bordering on poor. While it was timely, it was neither friendly nor warm nor especially attentive. They actually seemed irritated to have us there, and we were a group of adults with one well-behaved, calm 7 year old. We probably won’t be back because of the service.

Raven and Rose has become a regular choice when taking out of town company to a great restaurant. They are always impressed. I enjoy trying the nightly specials and the tomato bisque soup is fabulous. I highly recommend the ever-changing fisherman's board or the scrumptious pate'.

We met family members for a pre-show dinner before attending a touring Broadway musical at the Keller Auditorium, several blocks away. The service was fast, efficient, friendly and helpful. The food was excellent, but a bit pricey for what we got. However, I would go back, particularly for a special occasion and to linger over dinner.
