Menu was interesting and the food was very good. The bottles of red wine we're ridiculous. There was only one or two priced below $70.
Highly recommend the scallops. 👌👌
I was pleasantly surprised. Expected British fare to be bland, but every dish was tasty and delicious. Mr friends and I shared all of our dishes... We would definitely come here again.
My first time there for dinner, and I brought a group of 8, including four special guest from Korea. Everyone loved the appetizers, entrees, and beer! A great evening.
Great food, great wait-staff!
As usual, our post-theater visit to Raven & Rose was not a disapointment.
The lamb shanks were perfectly seasoned and fell off the bone.
Chocolate mousse cake for dessert was outstanding.
We'll be back...
Delicious drinks and great service. The rabbit dish was exquisite! Every bite at this restaurant was a culinary experience. We ordered two desserts just to see what they were like. Ambrosia! I can’t wait to go again.
We went on valentine's day and it was a very pleasant experience with awesome drinks but the time it took between courses was fairly long but it was valentine's day so there's leway
My husband and I came for Valentine's Day dinner. They had made special accommodations for my celiac disease, serving the pasta course with just the filling. Everything was beautifully prepared, lovely to look at and eat. Portions were perfect. We had the pairing menu, and it was one of the best ever! The Eton Mess was one of the best desserts I have ever had. And they got us out to our show in time. Thank you to the chefs and servers who made Raven & Rose such an unforgettable experience. Mwa!
I almost never complain about value, but I thought it was a little pricey for what we got. Regardless, we had a great time and my date loved it, so I guess that answers the value question.
Raven and Rose was amazing. Absolute perfection on the filet mignon and rabbit!! Delicious hand crafted cocktails at the Rookery while waiting for our table. Fantastic ambiance and staff. This was an outstanding meal - cannot wait to go back. I have been to many of the "best" eateries in Portland, but this by far was my favorite in atmosphere, service and taste. Well done!
Great ambiance, excellent food, a bit pricey but still very good. For two on brunch expect about $80-100.
Prompt service, great selection of drinks and the food was amazing! My wife loves the pork chops and I had the best meat dish in my life; the venison was perfect!
The food was great and the variety of food on the menu was very creative and wonderful selection to choose from. They seemed to have excellent quality Oregon Pinot Noir wine in stock. There is a bar with a pool table upstairs that was nicely furnished.
Only the negatives side of this restaurant was their chairs were very uncomfortable, there was no support on the seats. I would recommend seating at the booth.
Great wait staff. Wonderful food. and good quality beverages.
Would go back again for a special occasion.
not inexpensive but you get what you pay for.
Delightful setting in historic house and menu diverse enough to satisfy all. Food was exceptional.
My friend was a little late, but the waitstaff were friendly and gracious. We had a 10 mo old with us and, again, the staff were friendly and accommodating. I love the food AND the ambiance AND the staff at Raven & Rose. I have never had a bad experience here. It is one of my favorite "go to" spots.
It was great food with wonderful service. I would definitely go again.
The service was top notch! The lady (who’s name I forgot to ask for ) up front even took our picture outside in front of the building. Every food item was delicious!
Our meal was delicious and I really like the lighting. Soft, warm and with just the right amount of light to read the menu. All of agreed that the wine list is very limited and quite expensive. Many bottles are over $100 and only one red under $50 and nothing in the $ 60-75 range which is the price range is we prefer when going out unless it’s a special occasion when a splurge is warranted. We chose to order by the glass, but still very pricey.
In a quieter corner we enjoyed excellent dinner of beet salad, venison and Eton mess dessert - all very complimentary flavors and textures. Wine and service (Andrea) was exemplary and we will return for another special occasion.
We went on a Sunday morning for 'brunch' prior to a symphony concert. Nice and quiet and the food selections and location were good.. would go here again!
We really enjoyed our experience the first time we dined at Raven & Rose and I was excited to go back and take friends. Our experience last night was horrible. From our server who was distracted and seemed annoyed to be waiting on us, to the food that was over-cooked to a point that we actually wondered if it was what we ordered. I hesitate to cast bad light on the kitchen because there is a chance our server did not communicate our order correctly to the kitchen. She excused herself twice when taking our order when she noticed people she knew walking by... twice... literally... it was like a comedy skit. Sadly, we did not get an opportunity to inform our server about our food being wrong because she did not return to check on us. Eventually she arrived with dessert menus but we were so beyond trying to save the experience that we had decided to embrace the humor of it in front of our friends and not be negative to further ruin the evening. My husband and I eat out often and we are not hard to please. In fact, this is the first negative review I have written, ever. Typically there are aspects of a restaurant that counter balance the occasional mistake, making the overall experience good. I have nothing positive to say about our dinner last night. I felt like we were a hassle to our server simply because we were there and that our food was an after-thought. Disappointing is not even strong enough to describe the evening.
Overpriced for what you get. I eat at a lot of places that are priced the same but you get more for what you pay. $6 for a bread basket. BTW they just ask if you want bread, they don't tell you it cost money. Really?
Came here before our first symphony and was amazed at the selections on the menus.
I had Venison in huckleberry sauce with potatoes and my friend had Prawn Gnocchi both better than we had ever had before. We also shared the Mussles and beet salad and loved them.
I highly recommend this place for dates or special occasions for it is worth the price.
Excellent British themed menu! Delightful deserts, especially sticky toffee pudding!
Friendly and efficient service. Can’t wait to go back.
Pity not open Sunday evening, used to love Sunday dinner there!
The service was lovely and attentive. Restaurant is buzzing with activity during the height of lunch period. All meals were delicious and beautifully plated.
Decent food but over priced. The dining area was cold.
Great service, every employee was very attentive. There were 7 of us and we had made a reservation. Their table for a bigger party is set in the back, nice and semi-private. I love the atmosphere, feels like you wandered into an English Pub but on the fancy side. The corned-beef sandwich was super tasty and the home-made relish on it was the best I've tasted.
NYE was a blast here! Low-key. Not fussy. No extra charge for a seat. They did pass out noise-makers and hats before the ball dropped. We had a ridiculously good time.
