Rat’s Restaurant is the perfect dining destination. Named for the fabled entertaining character in Kenneth Graham’s children’s classic, The Wind in the Willows, Rat’s Restaurant is designed to give visitors the sense they have stepped into a village reminiscent of the impressionist painter Claude Monet’s beloved town of Giverny. Rustic fireplaces, country French cuisine, seasonal hand-crafted cocktails and an eclectic beer and wine list are just the beginning. We had a wonderful anniversary dinner here! The ambiance was romantic, the food was delicious, and the service was amazing. Everything felt special—from the beautiful sculptures and setting walking up to the surprise dessert. A perfect evening we won’t forget!

We had a delightful lunch at Rat’s after strolling through the Grounds for Sculpture. The food was delicious. Our party of three shared the cheese platter, which is relatively small for three people to share, but would be fine for two people. One of us ordered the special soup of the day, which was a gazpacho, and the crostini with fava beans and pea shoots. One of us ordered the chicken and waffles from the brunch menu And one of us ordered the burger, which was enormous, juicy, and perfectly cooked, served with a very generous portion of fries on the side. Our waitress, Patience, was wonderful. She was attentive and pleasant.

The outdoor patio is a magical experience. The food was so delicious & our server was so nice. It has been on my list for a while & did not disappoint. Thank you !!!!

Food was good aside from cold fries. Service was slow. Prices were high for items offered. $23 for a burger. $25 for a French dip, $25 for a salad without any meat.

Absolutely love this restaurant. I have never ever had a bad meal or experience with the staff. It’s one of my favorites and the best place to celebrate a special occasion.
