Requested a nice outdoor table by water Lon in advance of reservation for special event, was told that open table was not available as it was for a larger party who was “special “. Well no one ever arrived or sat at that table, it was set for 2 , & left empty, whole time I dined. Head of restaurant lied & said 2 parties sat there , but I sat right behind an empty table the entire nite. Beside the nice scenery , the food was tasteless, service was lousy & the outdoors was full of mosquitoes. You pay a hefty price for this kind of ambiance & food. The Sculpture Garden is great, don’t miss it, but I strongly suggest you take your hard earned $$ & dine elsewhere .

The three of us loved our lunch at Rats. It was a very hot day and, after walking the Grounds for Sculpture for two hours, chose to sit in the bar area; the darkest, coolest room with a Moroccan flair. We each ordered delicious mocktails, two sides - almonds w/greens, and frites, two turkey clubs, and one heirloom salad. Everyone was pleased.

Salmon was undercooked and had to be sent back to the kitchen. Otherwise the food was delicious Waitress was very eager to rectify the problem.

Rat's is housed in a lovely building in a gorgeous location at Grounds For Sculpture. I've enjoyed several previous meals here. Sadly, this most recent visit was a bit disappointing. I ordered the French Dip, but, unfortunately, the meat was a bit dry and tough. Our server was not particularly friendly nor attentive, which took away from the overall experience. With a little more attention to detail, this place could recapture its former glory.
