Named for the fabled entertaining character in Kenneth Graham’s children’s classic, The Wind in the Willows, Rat’s Restaurant is designed to give visitors the sense they have stepped into a village reminiscent of the impressionist painter Claude Monet’s beloved town of Giverny. Grounds around outside patio pretty. Service satisfactory as we had to ask for silverware. Entrees small prices high.

Ricky, our server was the only good thing to come out of our lunch at Rats. He was welcoming, sweet & attentive. The food was horrific. Horrific. We got the cauliflower and the rotisserie chicken salad. All greens and veggies tasted like the chemicals they washed the produce in. Chicken was boiled, gamey and dry. It’s such a shame because the grounds of the restaurant are stunning. You could not ask for a better surrounding / atmosphere to dine in. The place needs to be taken over by someone who is qualified to create and cook fine dining dishes. SOS send help. This place needs its STAT.

The evening started off good, but then waited about 40 mins for our entrees to come out cold, we all took our food home to warm it up. Seem like our waiter might have forgotten to get our food out timely

We had lunch at Rat's and everything was perfect, from cocktails, to the port after the meal. Our server was so accommodating, letting us enjoy our conversation between courses, and not rushing us at all. Highly recommend. The grilled octopus is the best I've ever had!

Waiter was very knowledgeable and helpful, ambiance was great, views were incredible, but sadly all the food came out very cold. We did not enjoy.

It has been a while since my wife and I dined at Rats. We had friends visiting and we took them to the Grounds for Sculpture. First, the setting and ambience of the restaurant is near perfect. There is a symbiotic increase in comfort and beauty between the restaurant and the sculpture collection, Second, the lunch was great, from the Trio of Spreads for appetizer, to the Steamed Mussels, Turkey Croissant and Rotisserie Chicken for main courses. Service was friendly and efficient. We are looking forward to returning soon.
