   We made reservations for 3pm but did not get our food served to us until 4pm. The food came out cold. They took it back but it took 15 minutes to get it back. For the prices that we paid, we had higher expectations.

   Lobster salad good but not great . Service was poor at best , not sore why having utensils brought to table is a long process or why it takes 30 minutes to get the check after the server was told we were finished . However, decent food and good location for people watching on patio .

   I waited a while before a hostess finally arrived to seat us, and she was not friendly. The seater was nice and the waitress was great, however, the plates were so skimpy, we were still hungry when we left, and I have an extra small stomach and always have a doggy bag when I eat out...not this visit. They were child portions and over priced, so I won't be back or recommending this restaurant.

    I've often seen the ads, touting McCormick and Schmick's as one of the great steakhouses in the US, but that wasn't my opinion after visiting in Chicago this past weekend. Both service and food quality were as ordinary as any chain restaurant in a chain hotel. There's nothing wrong with that. Plenty of people enjoy ordinary hotel dining, but it's not what I usually seek out when there are so many other options nearby.
